Dang am I the only one who never does DITL or WITL projects? Sometimes I think I am, but that's ok. I love to see what others create though.

I love the colors of the acetate half circles...but am having a hard time thinking of how Id use them. Anyone got any ideas? I’m planning on using them in lieu of an acetate divider (still annoyed about the ugly cream album bundle). I’ll going to punch holes along the straight edge, add a day of the week sticker (maybe the cork?). If that doesn’t work I’m going to try adding it to the edge of a 3x8. Struggling a bit with how that will look.

I am actually thinking of doing a super-mini WITL starting tomorrow. It will be a 2 page spread in my PL album. I'm not going to buy anything, just use stuff from my stash. I love this project but have only ever completed two albums as it's so hard to keep going for a whole week. This year I am planning on just one photo a day plus journalling.

Last year was my first week in the life. I did a 6x8 using my stash. I’m not sure if I’m going to do it this year or not.

Oops, I misunderstood., I thought your post was about choosing a word for the year. Now I see it's a week in the life. Please disregard my other post.

I have never done a WITL. I did a DITL four years ago when my daughter was a baby. I always wanted to do another but never got around to it. Now she is in preschool 2 days a week. I couldn't decide if I should do a preschool day or a home day. If I did the whole week, I would get both.
I have a few digital products that I have collected. I am going to go through them and see what works together. I fizzled on 10on10 so I would have to do it the same week as Ali. I think I need group motivation.

For me it's a big project and by the end of the week I'm so over it lol. I kind of had an epiphany while thinking about my upcoming approach.....why do I even have to do 7 days? Why not do 5? who cares? I guess it would be Days in the Life then lol. My husband and I have completely non traditional work schedules so we never have a consistent weekly schedule anyway. I may not go this route but I'm considering it. Sidenote: I went back to look at my stash and previous albums and one of my favorite things from last year was the 2x2 pp filled with packaging or labels from products/brands we use. I'm an ephemera fan. The idea came from Ali but I love it. She did it everyday I believe but I just did one full pp for the whole week. I will definitely do it again this year.

Ahhhh I have no chill and couldn't help but get those damn houses.. but also the half circles because the fomo is real.
I have an old teal 6x6 wrmk album somewhere that was meant for a vacation that never got past the first few pages.. I think I'll co-opt that. Now to really find some paper to match these things though, I was looking at pinkfresh's keeping it real and a 6x6 pad + die cuts might be enough. It'll match the geralyn stamps I have and hopefully make me more inclined to use the leftovers in my regular album.

I love the idea of the half circles! I ended up with PP mini kit and added the colorful extras but no album for me. I bought a black and white striped 6x8 album from sb.com and I'll use that. I don't mind a bit of extra supplies, its one of my favorite projects and I usually end up with some great photos from the week.

I’m cheap so I ended up buying the old Ali WITL kit and album from HSN. They are having a sale on their clearance and I ended up getting all of it for what I would normally pay for any album. I just can’t see forking over big money this year, I have a lot of other stuff to pay for. But I don’t judge those who do! If I had it to spend, I would.

I ended up with the 3x8 journal cards, phrase stickers (for PL, most likely), and the houses. No album for me since I am using what I have on hand. I kinda still want PP mini kit, but I know I wont use enough to justify the cost. Who knows. Maybe I will give in later but for now, its a no.

I’ve considered buying it again from HSN just to get that album and transparencies.

I pre-purchased to do the project in the fall. I just did 2020 in November. I got the Ali mini kit, transparent circles and pleather pieces. I loved the colors of her kit this time- all bright and consistent. Seems like there is usually a grey or super pale color thrown in that just doesn’t have the same vibe when she puts these kits together. I am going to do 4x6 with the not quite perfect DITL album they replaced for me. I did 3x8 in the fall and fit in a good amount in the smaller format. Still need to decide when to do my DITL. I did it last spring during lockdown, so I might do it yet this spring for comparison. So many projects so little time 🤣

I got the Liz Tamanaha set,an album, those half circles, and the working stamp set... I think they will work in lots of layouts and December albums to come. Oh and the bright yellow album. I seriously need to stop with the AE album format though... if I could be happier with smaller spines, fewer rings, there's so many more CHEAPER options!!!

As I am type rainbow, this release was so so me. I couldn’t resist all of it, just because I’ll use all of it. Alis kit (regretted not getting last years kit, but was able to snag some of it in last falls sale), those 3x8 cards, halfcircles and patches (normally not a fan), pleather tags and as a lastminute decision on those houses. I do like liz kit, but don‘t love the embellishments in there, so maybe I‘ll get the digital cards. And the yellow linen album is so ohhhhhh.😀☀️😀 Its has more pp (31), than the dotted one, probably like the dd ones.

Uh and funnily, no stamp for me this time, normally I get at least 2 sets during witl, but the work stamp phrases don‘t fit ( as I‘m working in a restaurant) - like the alpha, but I am very undecided and the weather stamp, not so sure, because I think, there is a older sc weather stamp i own.

I had two old fashions last night at dinner so tipsy me looked at AE and then went to Felicity Jane and bought some pretties there instead. I almost re-subbed and but then looked at the sneaks from May and wasn't in love. It's a good thing I didn't have 3 Old fashions or I may have bought all the things & the sub. I have some AE digitals from a couple of years ago so I'll use those for my journal cards, the FJ stuff, and am calling it a day.

This sounds like a great idea! It would even work on a traditional 12 x12" LO. 8 vertical 3" strips: one for the title and one for each day... Hmmm...
ETA. I haven't done any AE challenges or projects in years, but after reading through all your plans, I wandered over to her site, and came away with an order for pleather tags and felt houses and some weather stamps. I can use those IF I decide to go the 12x12 page route. But even if I don't I think these pieces will be used easily in my regular scrapping.
A quick note that on the Challenges Board in April, there will be a set of 30 photo prompts that might work with this.

I picked up the yellow album too - it’s such a lovely color! I was going to get a SS yellow and white striped album, thinking it would be cheaper, but by the time I add 3 packs of page protectors (still one shy of what comes with the AE album), the price was about the same, and I like the bgger spine.

I almost got the black dot one because I wanted the daily dividers, but I just can't with the black interior. And...the dot one has 24 pp versus 31 in the linen yellow.

I hope she has some 3x8 layered templates again this year. I picked up the 3x8 cards and have a 3x8 album to use. I modified some IACB templates last year and it worked OK, but it would be nice to have access to some design elements that match the physical cards this year.

Neither of this year’s kits appealed to me. I liked the colors of Ali’s but have an irrational hate of diamonds. The other kit was too monotone for me. I bought a few stamp sets and the album kit from HSN.
This will be my first time doing WITL.

I did it once but I pretty much did it my own way. I’m not sure about Ali’s recommendation or guidelines. My last one was a 3x8 album and I took at least one selfie or photo every day. I also documented what I had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each day was a page and that was it. Nothing fancy but kind of fun.
I may do it again this year from my stash. I have some older WITL product and I definitely have a stash to pull from. There’s also room in the 3x8 album— or I could use a new one. I’ll have to look at what I have to see if I’m motivated.

Looks like nothing has sold out, except a few stamps. That's a little surprising for this project, right?

I was browsing for some B&W lineal icons for this project and came across this pack (NSFW). Well, ladies, it looks like it's going to be a hot month of May this year... #tagyourself
