Okay, whose idea was it to use these jail bars to capture the balloons? Such a great idea! Why didn't I try it sooner? I can only put them up on the beach where the river is because there's too much stuff in the way on the other side. And I don't have *quite* enough to reach to the end. But even with only starting at the river, and not coming all the way down, I'm still catching a lot of them. AND -- drum roll! I got the bonsai and sakura wall DIYs!!! woo-hoo! redbusc you can take me off the list for those two.

So glad to hear you are getting some today. I am still zilch for my main character. I am keeping an eye on the time and trying to start the look but I keep getting interrupted by people. C'mon, don't you all know there is something more important that work going on here?

If they always spawned at the same latitude you wouldn't need them because you could just stand anywhere clear on your island along that latitude to catch them. Sometimes mine spawn up towards the "back" of my island, sometimes they run along my front beach. The jail bars collect them all and being them to me.

Im curious as to whether the jail bars havd an effect or if it is the fact that you stand in one place Oh they definitely have an effect. I watched a balloon spawn up toward the top of my line of jail bars and I kept my eye on it. Instead of going inland it came right down the beach to where I was standing. Without the jail bars I would have missed it because I had to run up the beach a ways before I saw it floating in. Because of my river I can't block off the part of the beach that's north above the river so I'm missing any balloons that spawn up there. But more of them spawn below that point so all of those are coming down to me standing at the bottom.

I have the bars right up to the edge and then skip over the bridge and have the rest set up. The ones I have watched seem to float on over the river and catch the next set of bars. They don't seem to float up the river.

ScamLikely is open for Celeste. DS was at the control being a troll to my visitor. He just got Celeste trapped when she flew in. I'll try to place the pipe when no one is visiting. Please remember that my island is in renovation mode. And if you can pick it up, you can keep it. I've been TT so watch the trees for wasps.

I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine today. Really hoping I’m not feeling bad tomorrow as we are short staffed and I really need to be at work. I’ve never felt bad after a flu shot and I know it’s not the same thing but I’m optimistic! So to top off a good day I’m going to villager hunt to replace Tiffany. I didn’t even get her photo yet but I’m not loving her so I said yes she can leave, it’s all good. 😂

It's the second one that seems to put people out for a day. But then there's my husband who had absolutely NOTHING except a slight sore arm after both of his Pfizer shots. The rat. Dd and I had Moderna and had about 24 hours of feeling like we had a mild-ish flu.

Her lipstick and fishnets were the only interesting thing about her. I got my first Pfizer shot 11 days ago and the only side effect I had was a sore arm and it wasn’t that bad. I take it back, I also had the side effect of weeping with gratitude and hope. 😊

Now we just have to wait until it’s my husbands turn and my son turns 16 soon so he’ll be eligible after that too. Finally things feel like they are looking up, somewhat. BC is back in another temp shut down for dine in restaurants, gyms and such because we are spiking especially with the variants so it’s nice to feel like we are on the road to protection. I still only want to leave my house for work and back though. ETA: Good luck on you villager hunt!

And it was such a happy atmosphere! My youngest (25) was actually the first in our family to get vaccinated because they live in Boston. But my state (Maine) has been able to get people eligible earlier than planned so my 28yo son and his wife are eligible starting tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to Mother’s Day!

I got my first Pfizer last week Wednesday. Dh got his first Saturday. His arm was sore. I didn't feel anything in my arm since it's sore already - it's frozen. I hope you won't feel anything ModChick. Are you sure it's 4 months? I'm booked for my 2nd after 3 weeks. Feel better workingclassdog.

Canada is now an outlier in the global vaccination rollout. No other country in the world has delayed second doses up to four months, and there is no evidence yet on the long-term effect it could have on immunity to COVID-19.

I wonder why Canada has chosen to do it that way? From same article.... NACI says if second doses are stretched to four months across the country starting this month, close to 80 per cent of Canadians over 16 could get at least one shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine by the end of June. But Canada's chief science adviser, Mona Nemer, says the decision to delay doses amounted to a "population level experiment." I actually didn’t know it was such a delay for the second shot but I knew were having issues getting the vaccine here in Canada so I guess that’s the answer.

Well, I have some distressing news. I have lost Marshall. He was out “exploring” at 7 am and I haven’t seen him all day. He isn’t in the stores. I have checked the museum 3 times. I have scoured the beaches. He is just missing. I think I better check the well, but I worry what I will find. He is such a little guy. The other residents are taking his disappearance very cavalierly, I might add!
Come home Marshall!!!!

I have found him wandering on the back strip of my island behind the cliffs on multiple occasions! He’s quite naughty.
