"Solid Gold", because it's my DD dressed up for an '80's party - not sure if you had the TV show down under, but it was a part of my childhood! The Solid Gold dancers! OMG I hadn't thought about that in forever. We definitely had it on TV in the 80s in little NZ (with its 2 TV channels) so big old fancy Australia must certainly have had it too. And yeah, "huge vintage lemon juicer collection" doesn't compute in my brain either... It's literally the first thing you see inside the door, and just the first of many (MANY) collections in the house. So many juciers: So many juicers by jo.blackford, on Flickr Why so many of the same juicers? (I also sold a beautiful aqua/powder blue one of these) So many juicers by jo.blackford, on Flickr This is the glass case in the entryway AFTER I removed the others (there are 45 still left in there): Juicers by jo.blackford, on Flickr I brought all those ones on the table back to sell and a day later FIL starts talking about how the Polish pottery collection is highly desirable, would be some quick easy money... omg! I had barely finished washing all the grime off the things I'd brought home and thinking about whether to sell them individually or try to do a rainbow... btw after that crazy day I had running around for the magazine editor someone bought one of the juicers that I had just thrown on eBay with almost no care, crap photos I took with my phone and didn't even edit, and the most half-assed description I've ever written. Makes me wonder why I go to so much trouble with my listings normally. Or maybe I had undervalued it, idk.

I honestly can't remember whether we had it here. If we did, I never watched it. We had FOUR channels in Australia, double your measly two Jo hahaha! I only remember watching Countdown (which every teenager in Australia watched on a Sunday night, and if your favourite band was on, you could watch the repeat the following Friday night).

joblackford I definitely reach for my gramma's glass juice when I need fresh lemon juice. Nothing works like it. But I only have two of them. agree on kitbop titles. To catch up on questions, I sit to scrap but my spot with my family is downstairs from most of my supplies. So I go up and down the steps and I'm actually getting a tiny bit of exercise. I have a goal weight, so if I am under, I feel free to have a small bit of fries. If I'm over I'll opt for a salad. I am feeling like I haven't done many projects this month. I'm more of a cardmaker than a scrapbook page maker and the only holiday coming is mother's day. I have three out of four of my March pocket page album completed. Hope all my Divas are enjoying some spring or fall color. We've been on five bike trail rides so far and the bike season has just begun. I'm taking my second shot plus ten days immunity to the grocery store tomorrow. Woo hoo!

I've had a good month, just not the kind of good that makes points for the Divas. Daughter and I got our second shots and 14 days later we've gone some places. (DH over 65 so had his awhile back.) Got a much needed new mattress. Got a haircut. Went to a store for new sunglasses. Lots of walks - seeing spring flowers everywhere. Lost a little weight.
What have your months been like, and what have your scrapping/papercrafting/creating months been like?

Sounds like some important stuff happened for you jjpeapea - haircuts! Yay! I will be cutting DHs hair tonight actually since we are still looking at 3 weeks of lockdown. We can't even buy frying pans or electronics at walmart or costco - "necessities" only - which is stupid as far as Im concerned because we're in the store anyways, and the government isn't protecting small businesses this way, it's only forcing everyone to Amazon!!! I got several layouts done early this month but now I've detoured to a retirement book for a co-worker and I've spend many hours on that in the past week. It's not nearly as much fun AND I have a box of new supplies I want to sort and play with but I'm making myself wait to reward myself for getting this book done. OTOH, I'm getting great use out of my dies in making this book, so that's a good thing! SO happy it's Spring, but the beautiful weather means I have to share free time with the garden!

Sounds like a month for MAKING memories, jjpeapea. There will be down times when you can document them. Hang in there kitbop. I managed to get my hair cut and coloured when we were in "Stage 2", but now that we are back to Stage 1, I don't think the salons or barbershops are open again, now. I agree about what seems like the randomness of regulations. Hoping the roll out of vaccines will make a difference in people's physical, mental and financial health. One thing, our province's threat that they would not open up until 75% of Albertans were vaccinated has spurred the hoax crowd into lining up for shots, trying to get that percentage up there. Although part of me wants us compliant folks to get our second shot before the non covid-believers get their first I have completed some pages this month, finished some cards and am working on another batch. Have my points calculated on most of what I have done, but not added up anywhere except on a piece of scrap paper here in the mess on my desk. Enrolled in Shimelle's class, and enjoyed the videos, but have not attempted anything yet. Started what I THOUGHT would be a quick clean out of a bedroom closet, which has ended up being a marathon. Might just claim some of those hours, since part of the task is going through craft kits I have to decide if I am keeping, selling, giving away, or pitching... Oh, and some of the shelves in there were hanging on by a millimetre, and when I started pulling things out, they started collapsing. Stupid partical board shelves shrink in 35 years, I guess. Okay, back into the fray...

Happy MAY to the April Divas! grammadee, AussieMeg joblackford schroema jjpeapea teacherlisa sleepingbooty kellyr21Can you believe it? iNSD already! I hope you will all find a bit of scrappy time today. I am feeling WAY overwhelmed today. It's all good. But into the busy-ness of the day I want to add scrapbooking and there are so. many. sites hosting challenges and crops that honestly it's overload. I've decided to ignore them. Forgo prize chances. And just focus on the hobby itself and squeezing Pea-time into my day somehow. AFTER this weekend is over, can we please talk April points? I will tag everyone again on Monday? Thank you! Your ever-loving team leader... Kirsten

Good luck on haircuts. We are becoming quite expert (and hey, if I don't look at the back of my head what does it matter what it looks like?) Our hairdressers are open but when they were closed I learned to hack my own hair and now I'm never going back. Hubby already did his own. I sort of get the restrictions at the big stores, even though it's also stupid. Last year in the early days, when we actually had meaningful restrictions, some people here were spending a lot of time wandering aisles "shopping" for "essentials" like yarn and new appliances at Walmart every day just because they were bored and feeling cabin fever. But idk if it made much difference to restrict which aisles they could shop or what they could buy. Definitely doesn't help small businesses - that's just ridiculous. I don't do whatever goes on during iNSD, I don't shop sales or do challenges. But since I have the time and there are extra points here I will try to catch up with my digital scrapping today and do a little bit of cardmaking with new supplies I bought the other day. It's a rainy/cloudy day here, tomorrow the sun will probably come out and I'll have to do some gardening. I think I forgot to do my month end photo maintenance last month so I will get some organizing points at least.

Hi again April Divas! grammadee has asked me to give everyone a "poke" and ask you to add challenges for MAY! We only have until Monday evening, and at this rate we won't have many. I haven't added mine yet either

I made that explosion box so how many point for that? Do I count the size and the layers? I'm not a points expert but I would either count it as an "other craft" and do the points based on how many hours it took you, 10 per hour, or do easy peasy points for the total size if all the pieces you decorated were laid out (which would probably be 20 I think). Or you could consider each layer as its own creation and count it that way - as if it was several small artworks you then stuck together. I tend to choose based on how much effort I put into it. If it was quick and easy I choose a method that is fewer points but if it was a huge effort (like 6 hours work) I wouldn't want to only get 10 or 20 points for it! But I don't think anyone really minds how you count it.
