You have officially earned a badge as "enabler" schroema. Haven't hit purchase yet... because I don't like the photo sizes she is using (lots of 2x2, 3x3...) but boy is it tempting because you know how I love sketches!!! I have a new printer. I really *should* play around and print out some alternative photo sizes. Don'tcha think that's a good idea???

I prefer 4x6 photo sketches, but I need some new inspiration, so I bought it. Thanks for the tip!

I prefer 4x6 photos too and I think I have all of the SG 4x6 sketchbooks. I tend to shy away from a lot Allison's sketches because of the smaller photos she uses. I'm thinking of playing along, but I failed miserably with the last TWO sessions she did lol. I'll have to see if I already bought these sketches too lol.

Thought you might like this from the class description: Over 450 bonus sketches examples (this alone is a $40 value) showing how to adapt the sketch by changing up the papers, using more photos, using less photos, using only 4x6” photos, creating two-page layouts, and an 8-1/2 x 11” option.

SG layouts are always my go to since they can fit so many pictures without sacrificing the embellishments or style. I’m only pausing on this one since I’m off fb so the class part isn’t useful to me. I never ended up getting much from the 6x6 one for that reason as well. I wish so many businesses weren’t using fb for classes!!

I will be joining this class. I didn’t end up doing all the sketches for the first class but it was still fun to have a new sketch to try every week all summer and to look through the gallery. I also liked all of the sketch alternatives.

I joined. I’m excited for it. I don’t have any 6x6 pads but I thought it would still be fun.

I took the first 2 page class and signed up for this one. Allison’s gives you a ton of support information. I didn’t finish the first class but I still have the sketches and FB group. I have more time in my schedule for this class since I have retired. I cannot wait for this one.

I just have a hard time trying to decide which ones I want that small sometimes. And yes, you should play around with them. Love my PM for this very reason.

I joined. I’m excited for it. I don’t have any 6x6 pads but I thought it would still be fun. If you buy one or two, it will last you the whole class. I often cut down my 12 x 12 papers, but the smaller sized prints on a 6 x 6 pad are really perfect.

I loved the double page class, so I signed up for this one, too. I like the smaller size photos as a change from what I usually do because I tend to think in 4x6.

I really loved Allison's 2-page class, so I signed up for this one too. I printed all the 2-page downloads and put them in a 3-ring binder, and will add the new ones.

I use SB Generation sketches all of the time so even without the class content, the new sketches and 450 variations are well-worth the $17 in my opinion.

You can get just a couple, or a whole bunch on one page that way! But, I also like enlargements. SO fun!

kitbop and joyfulnana , I just bought the sketches and as I'm looking through them I see lots of sketches that call for smaller pictures. Only one sketch uses a 4x6 picture. But I know that Allison will give us tons of options to work with and of course we can make the sketch our own and use whatever picture size we would like. Just thought you might want to know but I didn't want to give too much info away. I really enjoyed going through the last class as kind of like a summer project. I bought this class assuming there might be sketches that wouldn't normally appeal to me, but also really liking how much extra content Allison provides. I'm determined to finish the class this time.

I'm in! It's been forever since I bought an online class, I'm super impatient now of course, so I'm going to challenge myself to play with these sketches (and some small photos) BEFORE the class starts and then do them again in a different way after the class starts.

Thanks Elsabelle and margie you tipped the scale! I'm in! The video pushed me right off the fence. Using smaller size photos will be outside of the box for me, but my mojo needs some help right now.

I think I will get this. Being a newbie scrapbooker the 12x12 LO scares me.
I don't have FB , can this be still useful for a beginner? Will the lives or classes show up on YT?

Their sketches are extremely useful to beginners because they give you exact measurements. However, all the videos and extras that you’d pay $5 for will be on Facebook. IMO it would be worth setting up a fb account just for the class. Otherwise, you could just pay $12 for the sketches but no extras or videos would be included.

I know of several crafters who only have a FB account for crafts. They use a different name, so no one can look them up. I think a big part of the fun in her last class was seeing what others created on FB. She didn't have the videos for each page. She only had pictures and then there were links to several other sets of ideas for each sketch. It really isn't a traditional class like other people do with FB (IMO). It is 20 weeks long and is only offered on FB. Here is her explanation www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTOtcIgOkds

Thanks for sharing this. I have some 12x12 scrapbooks that I want to go back and add to. This looks like great inspiration. I’m doing it! A few years ago I attended the Embeliish It workshops (with the unfortunate online name of embellishit ), and I completed over 100 pages that year, thanks to the fun kits and ideas.

Here is her explanation www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTOtcIgOkdsShe DID have videos for each page - but they weren’t typical process videos of her creating the layouts. For each sketch, she had a video where she walked through the sketch and all the variations/substitutions, then she show her layout based on the sketch and covered the details of the completed layout. While it isn’t a traditional class, it is a lot of value for the money for sure! I agree that the fb group really adds a lot of value and motivation, especially seeing what others are making.
