Thanks for sharing this. I have some 12x12 scrapbooks that I want to go back and add to. This looks like great inspiration. I’m doing it! A few years ago I attended the Embeliish It workshops (with the unfortunate online name of embellishit ), and I completed over 100 pages that year, thanks to the fun kits and ideas. Haha! I always thought that too! I think their website was embellishitonline. A hyphen would have been useful!

I know of several crafters who only have a FB account for crafts. They use a different name, so no one can look them up. I think a big part of the fun in her last class was seeing what others created on FB. She didn't have the videos for each page. She only had pictures and then there were links to several other sets of ideas for each sketch. It really isn't a traditional class like other people do with FB (IMO). It is 20 weeks long and is only offered on FB. Here is her explanation www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTOtcIgOkdsShe DID have videos for each page - but they weren’t typical process videos of her creating the layouts. For each sketch, she had a video where she walked through the sketch and all the variations/substitutions, then she show her layout based on the sketch and covered the details of the completed layout. While it isn’t a traditional class, it is a lot of value for the money for sure! I agree that the fb group really adds a lot of value and motivation, especially seeing what others are making. I must have missed those. I do watch her monthly videos that she does on Youtube but no FB videos. Need to go back to the class. I just remember printing off three or four things for each of the 20 layouts.

I loved the first class! There were some sketches that I really loved and even made multiple layouts from them. I use mostly 4x6 photos but find its pretty easy to cut some to 4x4. And there are lots of apps to put 2 3x4 on a 4x6, so I print some of those too, especially for trips. I only use fb for crafty stuff. Seeing all of the layouts posted for each class was really inspiring. I’m planning to sign up for this one too, even though 95% of the layouts I create are 2 pages. Allison is including 2 page layouts as one of the ways to adapt the sketches.

Tons more ideas and inspiration there.

Is there a last day to buy this before the class closes on Facebook? I didn't see it anywhere on the website. Or maybe I didn't look close enough?
I loved the 1st class and I'm definitely thinking about this one!

In her latest video she said over 900 had signed up. There should be lots of inspiration. Can you imagine having to be the one to approve everyone for the class on FB? If it is like last time, you have to ask to be in the group and give your order number. I believe we'll get an email in early May to remind us/invite us, but to be the one who has to go through 1,000+ requests sounds like a bad job for a few days.

She said to keep your receipt number because you will need it to get in the FB group.

I don’t typically scrap the small photos but am needing a kick to my lack of mojo. I feel like I am in such a rut! Will definitely check out the video & likely sign up.

This class came up during my Facebook Live today. After looking at it yet again, I signed up. This is my first class by Allison Davis. Can’t wait to start!

This may be a silly question, but do y’all know if they ever reprint the physical sketch books after the first batch sells out? I know it’s old fashioned, etc, but I really like to have book in hand vs. digital. Realize I can print from digital, but just not the same (to me). (I also miss scrapbook magazines & still have most of my simple scrapbooks special editions, though I did give away/recycle the CK ones). Thanks much! 😊

We reprint the newer books but not the older ones (generally the Sketches for Scrapbooking 1-8 series). Volume 1 has sketches from 2006 when we first started doing sketches for Saturday classes at our Springfield store. Our styles have changed so much in those 15 years since!
The newest book, It’s Hip to be Square, which is for 4x4 photos, sold out of print copies during the preorder, but the second print run arrived yesterday and it is back in stock.

I went to the store in Springfield on Friday and picked up this sketch book. So excited to use it! One tiny bit of feedback: I miss having the number of photos listed in the bottom corner. I have four 3-ring binders that I store all of your sketches in by number of photos and that little marker at the bottom helps me keep them organized when I pull them out for a project and need to re-file.

Thanks much! 😊 I have in the past took the digital book and had it printed at an office store (ex. Staples). They can put it on nice paper and bind it - I like a coil binding. I think you can make it almost as good as the original.
The reason I liked digital is that I could print them out and then order them by number of photos. For many, many years this was how I scrapped. I have a huge binder with dividers and all the sketches I've bought (and the free ones) over many years. It's a great resource.

Don't forget if you bought the sketch bundle last year, and then the class option for the added $5 - you will need BOTH order numbers ready when the facebook group opens up. I wrote both down when I was on the site ordering the class access for $5. That way I have them both and I'm ready to go. I'm so excited and I love that Allison mentioned some sort of feature to be able to see/find anyone else doing process videos for these sketches!

I've just gone through all the sketches and made a list of what photo sizes are used for each sketch, so I can start thinking about what I need to print or order.

I signed up. I really enjoyed the class and structure last time. Anybody have one sketch that you can’t wait to use? For me it’s number 8. I love that I can use ALL the papers and not have to pick one-lol. And I can see myself reusing it again.
