I haven’t seen any but I haven’t really looked for any either. What have you found? Are you in the class or just looking for inspiration? Not in the class. Just looking for inspiration. #allisondavis6x6papers #allisondavisclasses #allisondavis4sg #allisondavissketches #allisondavissketch Thanks!

I'm so excited for this class! I haven't taken an SG class before, but I have purchased their sketch books in the past. I'm not great at interpreting sketches, so I'm really looking forward to practicing and thinking outside the box when it comes to the sketches. I can't wait to see what Allison does with them.
I frequently buy 6x6 pads to go with 12x12 collections, just so I have a bit of extra paper and I won't need to cut into a full sheet if I just need a little bit. But I often have scraps that I end up using for that purpose so it means I have lots of 6x6 (or 6x8) paper pads left. I plan on using these, my scraps and PL cards. I'm determined not to buy anything extra for this class. I also bought a couple 2x2 "swatch pads" from Paige Evans' collections that I have no idea what to do with. I think at least one of the sketches will be a good excuse to use some of that up.

Man, so many of y'all are so organized! I just watch the videos and go from there. I haven't printed anything. :-P I'll probably only print out the page of the sketches that I really love. What did y'all think about the first one? (I have not read this whole thread, yet, but will in a sec.) I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but as always with me, I took it in my own direction. The LO creations everyone has posted there has been great! Here's my take

So how are you approaching this class? Using a single 6x6 pad? Multiple? A few that all coordinate? Your oldest 6x6s? Newest? I’ve considered all those and still haven’t decided. I also have a big stack of random 6x6 papers...maybe I’ll use that. So many options! I used a 6x6 square on my first LO, but didn't even use a pad. I just cut down the paper I wanted into 6x6.

Gorgeous layout KikiPea. I’m planning to try and use up some of my 6x6 paper pads. I will pick whichever one works with my photos. For sketch one, I used Craftin With My Gnomies. I tend to follow sketches pretty closely. This was one of the variations she posted in the Facebook group.

Here’s my take. I thought I already shared it, but I couldn’t find it. I’m working on a two little age LO based on the sketch, but I’m not quite finished yet.

Your pages are beautiful, Ladies! KikiPea , I love how you made the circles with rings and ink. schroema, those frilly circles are perfect for those little dancers. lilacgal , the colours you chose are amazing. Can you tell us more about that photo?

I finished up my week 2 sketch last night. The sketch isn't my style, very linear. But I wanted to challenge myself to use each and every sketch even if I won't likely go back to it. Actually - I may go back to the sketch but I would eliminate a LOT of photos This uses a 6x6 pad of old Basic Grey "Wander". layout in hindsight by kirstendrew, on Flickr

lilacgal , the colours you chose are amazing. Can you tell us more about that photo? Oh, yes! I didn’t journal because it’s the next photo in a lengthy series. This is the Pinocchio float from the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Walt Disney World. He’s sitting atop the whale. I have 37 photos front that parade. My husband got us tickets to watch from the circle in front of the theater as a birthday gift for me. I decided I’ll journal only a few of those photos in general for the parade. I’m also thinking of putting all of those layouts in its own album! 😂

How’s everyone doing with the sketches? keeping current?
I just did one (made it into a double layout), so at this rate I’ll be finished by the end of the year😉

I’ve got a busy week and then on vacation, so I anticipate being behind for at least week 5 & 6. I hope to get caught up and current again during week 7. I had a hard time with the week 2 sketch (so many little photos!) but found my way eventually!

I skipped the second sketch . I really like how Debbie Sanders did her layout and may just copy that😜.
I really did not think I was going to like sketch 3, but once I started seeing all the examples, I realized how versatile that one was.

I've been doing Shimelle's class as well and focusing my layout energy in that direction so I've struggled with the first few sketches here because they are so different, and probably not designs I gravitate towards. I've done the first two layouts so far and think I'll get week 4 done no problem since that's much more a design I would use. My goal is still to try all of the sketches at least once.

I did the first 3, but haven't got the 4th or 5th done yet. I did work ahead and do a future sketch based on photos I wanted to scrap. I've just lost mojo in general...

Last week I told myself a grid would be so quick and easy but I haven’t gotten around to it yet so I’ve only done sketches 1-3. Hopefully I’ll be able to get caught up on Wednesday.

I’m behind. The size of the fb group is a little overwhelming, so I hesitate to venture in there. Also, I’m trying to finish up my Christmas journal first, wish is the main reason I haven’t jumped in yet. I took the first class in the initial round and was able to keep up, finishing all the sketches and even doing a few twice. i loved it! The thing that helped me was that I decided to pick a theme and stick to that for almost all of my pages. I want to do that again, but deciding on the theme has led me to a little analysis paralysis. I think once I finish my Christmas, and can clean all those supplies off my desk, I’ll be ready to jump in! (I also signed up for Shimelle’s half and half, and haven’t done anything with that yet either.)

Like every other Facebook group I’m a part of, the percentage of people who actually participate is nowhere near the full enrollment. I’ve been getting better at being able to quickly skim through the weekly project albums to see everyone’s projects. 😀

ETA: Sunny Studio Sharing because I had not heard of this line and I kind of want them all. Nice quality and such great colors.

Here’s my sketch 4. I actually used option #20 with the left side being nearly all photos, so just sharing this side. This is a sketch I’ll use on repeat for sure.

OK, I'm caught up to week 4. That sketch threw me - I love it, but I like larger photos. Ended up here, creating my own watercolour squares and not loving them LAYOUT SWEET THINGS by kirstendrew, on Flickr
