So is it $15 for all the layouts she will share or $15 per class? And the $150 pass is good for how long? New to her classes so want to get all the info. The way I understand the class pass is you get all the classes she releases up to that amount and a few bonuses like her Christmas class (which I love). So you get all your $$$ out of it and don't have to remember to sign up for her classes. I haven't purchased it myself but I think it's a good idea. I only saw this class because of the Peas so I'm sure I miss tons.

It is $15 for the class, which will consist of (from her website): Half and Half includes 12 new full length videos, and a few shorter segments: 10 12×12 single page layouts, each broken down in its own extended video plus a simple summary PDF. 2 12×12 double page layouts, again each in their own video + summary sheet. A selection of short videos that adapt some of the ideas to 4×6 and 3×4 cards to create coordinated pocket pages.Class access doesn't expire, so you can come back and watch the videos over and over, or (if you are like me and can't keep up) you can watch at your own pace. This is what she said about the Class Pass: For regular participants who would prefer to pay in a lump sum and not worry about signing up individually for every new class, you’re welcome to sign up for the new Class Pass. This allows you to prepay $150 or £110 in one go, and you’ll receive every class I teach until the value of the individual classes has surpassed that total. That means you’ll get a discount off that last class, but it is largely just an option for convenience, as it’s hard to keep track of everything and easy to miss something like a new class announcement! So, no set time period. This class is on the cheaper end of her price scale. I think the most expensive I ever bought was about $30. At a guess, I'd say you'll get between 5 and 8 classes on the pass.

I signed up because I am hoping the class will encourage me to stop hoarding paper—maybe if I tell myself I will only use half of a piece of “special” paper, I will actually cut into it It will be one of my summer scrap classes. I love Shimelle’s classes, and the fact that they never expire and I can go at my own pace

For those who've never taken a class by Shimelle: she's just a wonderful teacher and cheerleader. I can't play a video of hers without feeling the itch to scrap. I'm not saying you need to sign up with the pass but if you've got some fun money left over and are interested in one of her classes, I can't recommend her enough. She's just one of those scrapbookers whose particular style you really don't need to share to still get so much out of the classes she offers. Top notch all around.

I am not into erratic scrappers lol She's a great teacher, but I would say that the class pass is intended for the hardcore fan who knows for sure that they will take every class she offers. I think she would advise you to sign up for one class at a time and see if you find them valuable rather than jumping into the class pass. I don't think the savings is especially large so that you'll cost yourself a lot of money by not jumping in. If there's even one class you're not interested in and decide to skip you'll save money by buying the classes individually. About the pass - before she moved, had a contractor do a runner, and then the world turned upside down, she intended the pass to be about a year's worth of classes, but she wasn't able to get enough classes released to justify the money that people had spent on the pass. Many teachers would've just said, oh well, these things happen, so sorry, but she actually extended it for over 2 years, I think, so people would get the value they had paid for. So she's a classy and honest lady.

She actually did 2 half & half layouts on Fbk Live in the past week or so if you're just looking for inspiration pages/free process videos to replay on Fbk (not sure if you follow her there or not). Her most recent one from Eater Monday, not posted on IG yet, and this one Sorry, but totally LOL at “Eater Monday” - with as much leftover Easter ham and other stuff that I ate, it’s quite appropriate!

Yes read that just wasn't sure how the pass works. Never taken a class by her. But this intrigues me! I bought the pass last time she offered it, and I think it took close to two years to get the value in the classes she offered. With the pass, each new class would just appear in my class list on her private forum, and I would automatically be included on all the class emails. I really enjoy her teaching style and content and usually end up taking most of her classes anyway so the pass was a good fit for me. I also really appreciate the quality of her videos, which are well edited. I recall one class had a video where the layout was so far down on her desk that the bottom inch or so was constantly cut off. She included that video in our class content as a bonus but also made a new video for the same prompt so we had a good, in frame, video.

She is the person who showed me that after 23 years of scrapbooking, it was ok to cut into a 12x12 piece of paper with a...gasp...scissors. I would have never done that. I'm not 100% sure about signing up for the class, just because I doubt my commitment to it and I talk myself into 15 for a class OR 15 for product...but if you don't have that concern, I will say she's taught me more about scrapbooking via youtube than just about anyone. Expect for the lady from Archiver's who showed me the Chestnut Roan Cat's Eye chalk and how to use it.

I signed up! Looking forward to daily inspiration. And it’s not so much the half & half concept that intrigues me: it is how she arranges all the other elements on the LO. It will be fun to watch the magic happen.

I would watch Shimelle if she was "teaching" how to watch paint dry. She is that good at what she does.

Every Shimelle class I've taken has been well worth it so I'm signed up.
And just decided to try the sketch class too since I love using sketches.

I managed to make at least one version of each of the sketches, which was quite an accomplishment for me! She’s an inspiring teacher.

I've never taken a Shimelle class, but I signed up. My initial reaction was "ok, cut papers in 6x12...easy" but then I watched the video and realized it's more than that so I'm going to give it a try.
I also signed up for the sketch class because I have quite a few 6x6 paper pads that I never know how to incorporate.

I think I will sign up too. It's been ages since I was inclined to scrap. I just haven't been able to focus on anything for long in the past year.
Embarrassingly enough though, her voice is so soothing to me that I tend to drowse off when watching her videos if they are longer in length. I can only watch them while sitting at my desk, not on any piece of soft furniture. 😬

Just watching this www.shimelle.com/paper/2661/half-and-half-a-new-online-scrapbooking-classand she said she has 2 secrets; "One, there is more paper. It's ok to use it. And also, you can't get a layered look unless there's just a tiny bit (of paper showing)..so if you like a layered look, you have to let that idea go that you are covering up a lot of the pattern." Honestly, the woman is amazing. I'm signing up.

Although I also watched another YTber that used only a thin slice of paper and she used it to make a layered look without using up a whole chunk of paper. So you can have your cake and eat it too!

I haven’t done 12 x 12 scrapping in several years but I’m considering a return. I’ve been watching Janet at RTS and she has reignited my interest. The Shimelle class may be just what I needed to get back into large canvas layouts. Thanks for all of the endorsements!
