WEDNESDAY Watch!! Unless he gets offed before then!! Former Pentagon chief expected to throw Trump under the bus at Capitol riot hearingSarah K. Burris May 10, 2021 When former President Donald Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper, he put Chris Miller in charge just months ahead of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The assumption is that Miller is going to throw his former boss under the bus Wednesday while testifying about the failures during the attack, Axios reported. One of the biggest problems on that day was that the demand for National Guard troops to be sent to the Capitol went ignored out of fears over "optics," the Associated Press reported in March. Miller outright blamed Trump for the Jan. 6 attack when he spoke to VICE Showtime in March."Would anybody have marched on the Capitol, and tried to overrun the Capitol, without the president's speech? I think it's pretty much definitive that wouldn't have happened," he said. Miller said that he wasn't clear on whether Trump fully understood what he was doing and what his supporters would do, but he made it clear that the attack never would have happened without Trump's words. "It seems cause-and-effect," Miller said of Trump's speech. "The question is, did he know he was enraging people to do that? I don't know." He released a statement on Jan. 15 denying the Pentagon had any influence over the slow response to deploying troops to the Capitol. Instead, he claimed that by military standards, guards were deployed quickly. The problem, however, is that the troops weren't hanging out at home, they were already deployed several miles away near the White House. They could have walked from their location to the U.S. Capitol in the time that it took for the Defense Department officials to approve deployment to the building.www.rawstory.com/defense-secretary-testifies-jan-6/www.vice.com/en/article/wx83v4/even-trumps-defense-secretary-during-the-capitol-riot-blames-him-for-inciting-it********************* Former President Trump's acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller has been called to testify this Wednesday on "unanswered questions" about the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee said Monday. Why it matters: Miller, who Trump appointed to lead the Pentagon after firing Mark Esper following the 2020 election, has said he believes Trump incited the mob on Jan. 6 with his speech before the deadly riot.Details: Miller is scheduled to testify alongside Trump's former Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen. The hearing will also address the creation of a "9/11-style" commission to investigate events surrounding the attack. The idea has received bipartisan support from lawmakers. www.axios.com/trump-capitol-attack-pentagon-chief-chris-miller-6b4509cc-869c-434b-9390-72e4c9ecbd4c.html

An unhinged jailhouse letter from a Capitol rioter sheds light on the radicalization of Trump supportersPro Publica May 11, 2021 * In a letter sent from behind bars, a key defendant in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol said he and fellow inmates have bonded in jail, and boasted that those attacking the building could have overthrown the government if they had wanted. ** The letter sent to ProPublica is believed to be one of the first public statements from a Jan. 6 rioter currently in detention. ProPublica also obtained text messages with Reffitt's family and was able to ask a few questions of him via text from the D.C. Jail, with his wife, Nicole Reffitt, acting as a relay. Guy Reffitt declined to participate in a fuller interview on the advice of his lawyer, his wife said. ** “You'll find out that I had every constitutional right to carry a weapon and take over the Congress, as we tried to do," he said in one recording, according to a transcript in court files. Jackson Reffitt, 18, has since moved out of the family home and is raising money to support himself and his schooling. In another excerpt in court files, Guy Reffitt was blunt: “I did bring a weapon on property that we own. Federal grounds or not. The law is written, but it doesn't mean it's right law. The people that were around me were all carrying too." Reffitt's wife and daughters said his statements were more benign than they sound — that Reffitt is notorious for his hyperbole and left the Capitol when he learned rioters had made it inside. Nicole Reffitt said she has long referred to her husband teasingly as “Queenie" because of his flair for the dramatic. Prosecutors have not accused him of entering the Capitol building or hurting anyone. In their most recent filing, prosecutors added new evidence to their case against Guy Reffitt. They obtained a recording of a Jan. 10 Zoom meeting involving Reffitt and two other Three Percenters. In it, Reffitt allegedly said he helped lead the charge on the Capitol with a .40-caliber pistol at his side, at one point telling a U.S. Capitol Police officer who was firing nonlethal rounds at him, “Sorry, darling. You better get a bigger damn gun." Reffitt went on to describe how the group might be able to disable a social media company's servers by using a sniper rifle to disable the generators at a nearby Texas facility. According to court records, he said attacking the servers would “make them feel it back" in Washington, D.C. He added: “Then they won't know we're coming next time." www.rawstory.com/an-unhinged-jailhouse-letter-from-a-capitol-rioter-sheds-light-on-the-radicalization-of-trump-supporters/

And the Acting Sec of Defense Christopher Miller said........ Former Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller said Wednesday that Donald Trump was interested in the deployment of the National Guard during their Jan. 3 discussion. When Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) questioned, "did you tell the president about the mayor's requests or did President Trump ask if there were requests?" "He asked if there were requests," said Miller. "What was the president's response to you with regard to the requests made to you by Mayor [Muriel] Bowser?" Donalds asked. "Fill it and do whatever is necessary to protect the demonstrators, ya, uh, and, uh, that were executing their constitutionally protected rights," said Miller. Earlier this year, Miller told Vanity Fair that Trump told him he would need to deploy 10,000 troops in Washington, D.C. "You do what you need to do," Trump reportedly said on January 5. "You're going to need 10,000." ** www.rawstory.com/trump-guard-protect-the-protesters/Also Miller provided a written statement to the Committee. During the questioning he wanted to change what he had said and was stopped by a Democratic Representative saying you are changing the statement you presented just this morning!?!?!? It was also written in his statement that he considered dt to be at fault?! He did not read it and that was also addressed...

DOJ has dismissed case without prejudice... There is no explanation.. Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking to dismiss a case against a New York man charged in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, the first time federal prosecutors have moved to drop a case connected to the attack. Prosecutors filed a motion Tuesday seeking to dismiss the case against Christopher Kelly of New York, who was charged after the FBI said an anonymous tipster sent investigators photos posted on Facebook of Kelly at the Capitol. Authorities wrote in the filing “the government and defense counsel have discussed the merits of the case, and upon reflection of the facts currently known to the government, the government believes that dismissal without prejudice at this time serves the interests of justice.” thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/556365-doj-dismissing-capitol-riot-case-for-first-time

Personally, I simply can not understand how the majority of the Congress show up to work each day and sit in a room with people who incited the violence against them. Talk about hostile work place. And I will never understand Pence, Trump sent a mob there to Hang Pence. They set up the gallows & all. And Pence still supports him? It is bizarre. Agreed snd I just don’t get it. Very bizarre. Only makes sense if they have dirt on Pence. So far we know that there was dirt on Falwell and Matt Getz. I have a theory that the former President in conjunction with the National Enquirer was able to obtain dirt on key people and they used that to leverage (blackmail). Or these people just want POWER and will prostitute themselves to keep it. That is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Another guilty plea!! Trump supporter who rioted at the United States Capitol building on January 6th now faces over a year in jail after pleading guilty to obstructing an official proceeding of Congress. As reported by BuzzFeed News legal reporter Zoe Tillman, 38-year-old Florida-based MAGA rioter Paul Hodgkins, who along with other rioters broke into the Senate chamber on January 6th, admitted to obstructing an official congressional proceeding in court on Wednesday. It was the most serious charge leveled against Hodgkins by prosecutors, who dropped other misdemeanor charges against him in the wake of his plea. District Judge Randolph Moss informed Hodgkins that, under current sentencing guidelines, he's facing between 15 months and 21 months in prison. Hodgkins was tracked down by law enforcement officials after he posted a selfie from the Senate chamber that featured his fellow rioters in the background. www.rawstory.com/maga-rioter-faces-over-a-year-in-jail-after-pleading-guilty-to-obstructing-an-official-proceeding-of-congress/

dt met with one of the men, in April, who arranged the "Patriot Caravan" to the Capitol on Jan 6th. The Uprising has obtained a photo showing former President Trump meeting with Jeff Brain, CEO of the social media site Clouthub," reported Hunter Walker. "According to the source who provided the picture, the pair met at Trump's private club, Mar-a-Lago, on April 21 while Brain was there meeting with investors to seek funding for his site." ** "Brain's site hosted multiple pages organizing "Patriot Caravans" to attend the protest. Trump supporters, many of whom attended these rallies, ultimately broke into the Capitol as the certification was taking place leading to violent clashes with law enforcement and multiple deaths. Clouthub also hosts pages dedicated to the QAnon conspiracy theory." www.rawstory.com/trump-patriot-caravans-capitol-riot/

Another low level offense.. arrested, might set example for others, guessing IF they plead guilty rather then go to trial. Capitol rioter’s guilty plea shows what other insurrectionists might face as punishment Travis Gettys June 03, 2021 A second U.S. Capitol rioter has pleaded guilty to charges related to the Jan. 6 insurrection, and his agreement shows what punishment others might expect. Paul Hodgkins, of Florida, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to one count of obstructing an official proceeding, and MSNBC's Scott MacFarlane explained what his case could mean for other Donald Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol as lawmakers certified Joe Biden's election win. "It was a lower-level case with lower-level charges but it just became hugely important because it's only the second plea deal and it's really a test case for other defendants to study to see where their cases might be headed," MacFarlane told Stephanie Ruhle. "He was facing a charge of obstructing an official proceeding, unlawful entry -- so are most of the defendants -- and after the plea deal was announced, it was said during proceedings there's an expectation of one- to two-year sentencing guideline in prison, a few thousand dollars in fines to pay back the damages at the Capitol, but also no requirement for cooperation." www.rawstory.com/paul-hodgkins/

We need the names!! ALL of them. According to MSNBC's Steve Benen, several Senate Republicans are "going to bat" for the rioters again, pressing Attorney General Merrick Garland on whether the attackers are being treated unfairly. "DOJ's apparent unwillingness to punish these individuals who allegedly committed crimes during the spring and summer 2020 protests stands in stark contrast to the harsher treatment of the individuals charged in connection with the January 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C," the senators wrote in their letter. "In other words, the GOP senators are deeply concerned about whether federal law enforcement treated racial-justice protesters better than members of the pro-Trump mob that attacked the seat of our democracy in order to hunt American elected officials and derail our system of elections," Benen writes. www.rawstory.com/capitol-riot-2653277605/

Not sure I am feeling sorry for these guys! They are learning how the majority live. Jail is not fun nor is it a vacation. So many Capitol rioters are in the DC jail that authorities are struggling to manage the facility: report Matthew Chapman June 10, 2021 On Thursday, NBC Washington reported that Capitol rioters have put an increased strain on the D.C. jail and local court system, with 39 defendants awaiting trial in the system, and many of them filing an avalanche of motions to be released. "Concerns about the quality of the facilities at the D.C. jail are chronic. In recent years, the I-Team has reported a series of failures of the ventilation, heating, air condition and roofing at the complex, which was opened in 1976," reported Scott MacFarlane, Rick Yarborough and Jeff Piper. "Ron Moten, a community activist, said inmates have long complained about the physical condition of the jail. Moten said the accused insurrectionists are getting a taste of what D.C. offenders have experienced for a generation. D.C. leaders have been making long-term plans for construction of a new jail." According to the report, "Several of the defendants in the Southeast D.C. jail complex filed formal motions seeking release, alleging a range of problems from physical assault to poor medical care to isolation and 'languishing.' The complaints have further strained the schedules and resources of the D.C. federal court staff and attorneys, who are already juggling nearly 500 criminal cases from the insurrection." Among the rioters awaiting trial in the D.C. jail are Ryan Samsel, a Pennsylvania man with a long record of sexual and domestic violence accusations who is accused of concussing a cop at the Capitol, and Chris Worrell, a Texas Proud Boy whose request was denied after the judge discovered his social media threats against the person who "ratted" him out. www.rawstory.com/insurrectionist-jail/

He's in for a surprise if he thinks the case can't move forward without him there. Most cases are resolved through plea deals and these morons don't seem to be listening to their lawyers. The plea may not involve testifying against others, it will often be just to get some charges lowered or dropped in exchange for guilty pleas on other charges. Taking all these cases to trial will be a nightmare for the system.

Putin's favorite Congressman!! During an interview on Monday, June 14, former Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) confirmed he was in attendance at the rally after social media users spotted him in photos from the event. "I marched to protest, and I thought the election was fraudulent and it should be investigated, and I wanted to express that and be supportive of that demand," Rohrabacher told the Press Herald. "But I was not there to make a scene and do things that were unacceptable for anyone to do."
