Oh god - when they started singing God Save the Queen and she is there all alone with her head bowed....

It feels intrusive watching when there are so few people there.

Watching from the West coast in the US. This image of the solo bag pipe player, leaving the church, silhouetted by the doorway. Just..beautiful.

I started watching after they were in the church, what were all the ribbons and sashes behind the priest? I am assuming they were representative of Philip’s honors?

It's so good to see Harry walking with William and Kate. What a wonderful and sad service.

I do hope William and Harry will be able to start repairing their relationship today. It will certainly give the media something to write about ...they’re waking up the hill together. Harry in the middle between William and Catherine.

What I saw was lovely, and from what has been said might have been exactly what Prince Philip wanted. The singing and music was just perfect.

Granted it was cut some because of COVID regulations such as no singing and just the four singers rather than the full choir etc but generally it was what he wanted.

Also, I was wondering if Harry and William were thinking about the last time they walked behind a coffin And the fact Harry recently got married there, must bring back so many memories for him. The two princes walked behind a coffin one other time, when the Queen Mother passed away. That was not too soon after Diana died. That one must have been very hard.

I do hope some of the family is going to be with the Queen today after the service. I don’t think they’d all hop in their cars and go home? I’d imagine they are all vaccinated by now and would gather for tea or lunch or whatever British people do after a funeral.

Harry and the Cambridges walking together 😊 I hope this is indicative that healing has begun and they can be close again. People do tend to put differences aside at such moments, though, but I always hope for the happy ending. I thought the whole thing was so well done and possible exactly as HRH would have wished for but hadn't expected he would get. All the more memorable for there not being huge crowds or a huge congregation so the focus was entirely on the family. RIP Sir.

Up to this point they have made a big deal about NOT doing that because it’s against current regulations in England.

There was a mention of returning to the royal apartments...who knows what form that’ll take but I’m sure there will some sort of gathering.

I loved the 4 singers so much more then the full choir. Not that full choirs aren’t lovely, this just seemed more appropriate for a funeral. I did get a glimpse of the Range Rover they used, I thought that was lovely as well.

I didn’t recognise David Armstrong Jones initially. I wasn’t aware the he and his wife had separated last year. Sad really as they’d been married quite some time.

Up to this point they have made a big deal about NOT doing that because it’s against current regulations in England. I wouldn't say they "made a big deal" about it. They stated that they would be following the regulations, and then they followed them. I looked over the current regulations and a gathering of 15 is allowed for a wake, which I think would cover these circumstances.

Beautiful, touching ceremony. I didn't expect to get choked up until the singers sang For Those in Peril on the Sea (Eternal Father strong to save). I felt privileged to watch such an intimate ceremony and to be a witness to history.

They separated about the same time as Peter Phillips and his wife split. I only know this as I looked him up a few days ago when they put out the walking order, and I wanted to check on who Lord Snowden was.

Does anyone know who rode in the car w/ the Queen on her way to the chapel? I was waiting for the commentators to tell us who it was, but at on the network I was watching, they didn't say. I thought it might have been Camilla.
