I would rather see term limits for Congress first. The lifetime appointments of SC justices keep them from worrying about re-election or making money after their time in the court is over. It's a protection to keep the court fair. I'm not sure how I feel about removing that.

I would rather see requirements for being considered. Such as experience in the lower courts, the appellate courts and the state supreme courts. Perhaps a limit on how many judges could be place in each year would help as well.

There have been calls for Justice Breyer, age 82, to step down. Because of what happened to the Merrick Garland nomination, I hope that he does. I would love to see that position filled by Biden. I am curious about what others think of this idea.
