We cut the cord about 4 months ago. Just earlier this week DH asked if I missed it. I don't. We did upgrade our Hulu sub to Live TV but we're not sure yet if we'll keep it. I haven't recorded anything in a couple weeks, but I WILL start recording once RHONY premieres May 4. The good news about Live Hulu is no contract. We could cancel anytime.

We got rid of DirecTV a few years ago. We don’t have as many options for watching now. And it’s kinda cumbersome to navigate everything for our 5 year old & 10 year old. We have a Roku stick and subscribe to our internet provider’s streaming TV service. (Spectrum). We also have Prime. And through my cell phone provider have Hulu. We can access all 3 of those on the Roku. But it’s hard to remember which program is where and if we look for something specific, we have to look in all locations. We pretty much live under a TV/movie rock so we just make it work and watch what’s there. And mostly watch things on DVR The Hulu we have complimentary through Sprint/T mobile doesn’t always allow us to fast forward commercials. We only watch probably 7 hours a week total in our household. All the annoyance has just made us watch even less TV.

I cut cable several years ago and have AT&T Now. I have 20 hours of DVR, get the local channels without an antenna and after recording I am able to skip through all the channels. I have a Firestick and Apple TV. I much prefer the Firestick. I'm even more confused. I thought AT&T service was cable. How do you get the service if not via cable? This is AT & T through an internet service. It is called AT&T NOW I think (although I do know that they have changed their name a few times. Unfortunately, I do still have to have internet through Comcast but it is still cheaper than the $250+ that I was paying with Comcast cable + internet. Essentially I get my TV through my internet provider but not through cable. . Yeah, it is confusing.

I think I’m understanding this to mean there is still a cable coming into your home but not a cable box for tv. Instead you use another device for that. It gets so confusing for me as I was thinking of “cut the cable” as meaning no cable line coming into the home and I couldn’t imagine how to get service without the line or a satellite dish. I don’t like our cable provider’s crappy system of lines - optimum - and always hoping for an alternative.

Plus Netflix, Hulu, etc. The ATT app has the ability to record shows but we never do. We mostly use it for sports and local news.
