SPECIAL iNSD CHALLENGES:
iNSD-1 Double up! Any points earned for creating, sharing, &/or meeting challenges during the iNSD weekend (Saturday and Sunday, May 1st & 2nd) are worth DOUBLE!
iNSD-2 Get Sketchy. When you add a sketch to the iNSD sketch thread up to end of day Sunday, May 2nd, you earn FIVE points. If you use that sketch—or one posted in that thread by anyone else—to create a project any time in May, you earn an additional FIVE points. (doubled if you create it during iNSD weekend)
iNSD-3 Carry over: All April 2021 challenges are in effect until end of day MDT Monday, May 3rd, for whatever points are offered (double on Saturday/Sunday). These points will apply to your MAY team.
Now, the
REGULAR MONTHLY CHALLENGES. Please share your creations for each of these in the individual challenge thread. Points will outlined in each.
R-1: Sketchy Saturdays. Complete any of the posted Sketchy Saturday challenges for 5 points. Complete ANY THREE of them for a 20 point bonus.
R-2: Monthly Photo Challenge. Points for shared photos and using those pic's on projects. Possible Theme bonus points each month. Theme for May:

May challengesPRODUCTSP-1 The ties that bind. Use ribbon or twine on your project
P-2 Stickers - one point for each non-alpha sticker you use on your project
P-3 Memorabilia--Have tickets, receipts, business cards, etc? Include them on your layout.
P-4 Shine on! Anything that is shiny, metallic paper, metallic embellishments, glitter, foil, Stickles, Pearl Ex, Liquid Pearls, Nuvo Drops, sequins, and so on. One point for each type and double point if you use 5 different types for 10 points!
P-5 Ancient Supplies? Time to get them out and use them up! 1 point for 2-5 year old stuff; 2 points for 5-7 year old stuff, 3 points for 8-10 year old stuff, 5 points for 10+ year old stuff. Exclude stamps, dies, inks, cardstock, and tools.
P-6 - Fresh and New - use NEW supplies/products - 1 point per TYPE (eg. new paper, new thickers, new dies...)
P-7 - Dot it up - use enamel dots or nuvo drops, 1 point per three.
P-8 Watercolour - Use watercolour paper or embellishments on your project. Bonus 5 points if you used mixed media to make the watercolour yourself, instead of using store bought items.
P-9 Journal Card - Use a journal card on your page. Bonus point if you make and embellish the card yourself.
SHAPES/ICONS S/I-1 Happy at HOME. One point for using pp with houses or buildings on it. One point for every house shaped diecut, sticker, clip or any other embellishment.
S/I-2 Hearts. 1 point for each heart used on your page
S/I-3 Stars! Yes, stars have 5 points perfect for the 5th month! One point for each star on your project!
S/I-4 - May FLOWERS of course, 1 point per type of flower (patterned paper, sticker, chipboard, prima...)
S/I-5 - banners, flags, labels and tags - 1 point per type
S/I-6 Flowerpot - Use a flowerpot icon on your project
S/I-7 Arrows & Chevrons - Use arrows or chevrons on your project. Take a bonus point if the arrow is curvy or wavy.
COLOURS/MOODBOARDSC/M-1 Grass green and Sky blue. One point for either of these colours. Five points if you include BOTH on the same project.
C/M-2 Plain Jane - Use only solid color elements and paper on your page for 2 pts. No patterns!
C/M-3 Use sliver or platinum on your project.
C/M-4 - Use a rainbow of colours - at least 5 in your layout (can be small amounts of colour eg. in an embellishment) for 1 point. Add an actual rainbow for a bonus point.
TECHNIQUES T-1 Be a cut-up! One point for using regular scissors for cutting mats or photos or borders. Two points if you fussy cut at least one element, OR if you used special scissors like fringing scissors or decorative edging scissors.
T-2 Roughing it! Either create a LO or card with camping images or icons, OR rough up at least one layer of your project by super distressing the edges. One point for the theme. One for the technique. Do BOTH for a BONUS of FIVE points.
T-3 Embossing - one point for either heat or dry embossing on your project
T-4 Stamp on it! Use a stamp on your project, one point for each different stamp (only one point if title uses same stamp font)
T-5 Die cut away! One point for each different die cut (unless it is a title using the same font). Double your points if you alter the die in some way, like emboss, ink, fold, splatter, and so on.
T-6 Make it interactive: A tag to pull up for journaling, a hidden pocket, and interactive card that slides or pops up. All are fair game for 5 points each as they are time consuming to create!
T-7 - let the splatter fly - 1 point per colour of splatter/mist
T-8 - A stitch in time - 2 points for hand stitching or machine stitching; 1 point for pen stitching or die cut stitches
T-9 Fold & Rolled - Take a point for each type of fold or rolling on your project eg. folded or rolled corners of photos or edges of paper, folded and cut paper chain, concertina embellishment etc.
WORDS/Titles
W/T-1 MOM’s the word! One point for each M on your project, and five points if you use the word Mom, Mum, Mother, or any other word meaning the same anywhere on your project.
W/T-2 Say it with song - use a song title or lyrics on your page.
W/T-3 Rain Rain Go Away - 2 points for using the word "sun" on your LO or card
W/T-4 Journal away: 5 points for journaling above 50 words. Some of us have a story to tell!
W/T-5 Exactly 5 words in your title for one point.
W/T-6 - Spring has Sprung - use the letters of "Spring" in your title for 5 points. Obviously the word "Spring" also counts!
W/T-7 - DIY titles Make a title without pre-packaged stickers or thickers - suggesting fussy cut, die cut, stamped, digitally created/printed or handwritten letters/titles. Yes, this will be a freebie for digital scrappers
1 point per letter. Yup.
W/T-8 Fontified - Take one point for each different font in your title
THEMES
Th-1 Celebrate FAMILY. One point for every different family member you include on one LO. Two points for every photo that includes at least two family members together.
Th-2 Take me out to the ballgame - Scrap a sporting event. Extra 2 points if it's from this month. Bonus 5 points if you are in one of the photos.
Th-3 Make a Splash - 1 point for every water themed element, photo paper, etc, on your page
Th-4 Mom - 1 point for making a card for your mom or a layout about your mom or about being a mom
Th-5 Wedding or Anniversary Celebrations: 5 points if it is your own wedding, no matter how long ago!
Th-6 Let's get outdoors! Any layout about being outdoors.
Th-7 Pets - Do a page about your pets, or any animals eg. farm or zoo
NUMBERS/SIZE:
N/S-1 Go PENTA May is the fifth month. Claim FIVE points for exactly five of any element on your project. (So if you have five photos, that is five points. If you also have five butterflies, that is another five points, and so on…)
N/S-2 Go big or go home - 2 points for a 5x7 or larger on your layout, 5 points if 8x10 or larger
N/S-3 Pattern Palooza! See if you can get 5 patterns on your project, this may include paper, washi tape, stickers, etc. 10 points for exactly 5 patterns, otherwise one point per pattern in your project.
N/S-4 Cluster away! One point for each cluster of 5 items. If you get carried away and are able to fit five clusters of five . . . big bonus of 25 points! This is for all of us double page layout designers!
N/S-5 FIVE: use the numeral 5 in your title for 5 points.
N/S-6 N/S Make room for the smaller photos. One point for each photo smaller than 4 x 6.
RECIPES
Re-1 - SPRING
S is for fresh air smell - do a layout that is OUTDOORS
P is for potential - use a PLAIN cardstock background of any colour
R is for rainy - use mixed media or mist splatter or droplets
I is for inspire - use a sketch or lift a card/layout
N is for nature - use BROWN or KRAFT
G is for grow - use 3 different size items on your page - eg. small/medium/big tags eg. small/medium/big circles eg. small/medium/big photos, but the sizes have to be "obvious". Can be layers of mats too!
OTHERO-1 Get together. Ten points for every hour spent crafting with someone else, whether in person or on line.
O-2 Inspired by Celebrity. Five points for any project inspired by a class you are taking, or a challenge or demo on line.
O-3 Leave some LOVE! One point for every time you leave love for another Pea's creation.
O-4 No photos please - Make a layout without using any photos. May contain journaling, memorabilia, etc. but nothing from a camera.
O-5 It's About Time - Use a kit from your stash. 5 pts if it's more than 3 years old.
O-6 We're Lanquishing - 10 points for every day you don't get to do anything crafty because life is just that darn hard right now.
O-7 Stay Frozen - 10 points for every day you don't buy scrappy stuff
O-8 Print your memories - 1 point for every photo you print this month, double it for May 2021 photos
O-9 RAK/DONATE - 10 points for each RAK you send out or donate locally - let's find good homes for things we don't love anymore or bought duplicates. (charging postage is fine but selling outright doesn't count)
O-10 100 Day Project: it's the last 10 days of the 100 day project, finishing May 10th. Take 10 points per day that you do your thing **even if you had previously "failed" or given up on the project!**
If you have done the 100 day project consistently all the way through (give or take a day for illness or languishing) take another 100 points at the end as a bonus for persevering and making it all the way to the end. Yay!!
O-11 Share the wealth - one point for each dollar you spend on craft supplies this month
O-12- HALFSIES! Inspired by Shimelle's current class - which I am not taking - take a point for creating a "half and half" layout. This can also be diagonal for this challenge.
O-13 Don't just make it, write in it and MAIL it! Mail a card (or give a card) for 5 points. Donating cards also counts - but only 5 points/donation, not 5 points/card.
