Mine from the crop yesterday. Vicki B background, Jen Hadfield pps, and various strips from my scrap-strips collection The "don't quite your daydream" square is from the cut-apart paper in the pp collection...I NEVER would have expected to use it... funny how even after scrapping this long I still don't accurately identify when a die cut or phrase is going to be right for me. I only bought that cut-apart paper for the b-side. layout the best jumper by kirstendrew, on Flickr

My goal this weekend is wrapping up the final few los for my out west album from our trip in 2018. I got this one in the album before I took the pic-oops! I also added titles to 4 pages so that album is 100% done! I’ve got one more trip album (from 2019) to finish a page or two plus some journaling before our trip next month.

schroema, your trip pages are great. Love how you can fit so many pic's on a page, and still have some "white space" (and the green is perfect for this page to offset the blue skies). The second page has a real road trip vibe, with the kids in the car, the road signs: good job! And congrats on putting that Shimmelle class to good use! I really like the complete contrast between your two halves, and your title is great. msliz there is love in the Gallery.

Used the week 2 "6x6 sketches" for this layout. It was *challenging* for me as things were very square/linear, and I did change things around, but I'm happy with the final result. I think I would normally have made the photos a 2 page spread. Old Basic Grey "Wander" 6x6 pad got used layout in hindsight by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Two to share, despite the dry socket and vertigo. Thank heavens Scrapbooking is a low contact low stress activity!
This is based off a sketch from Sketchember 2019 9/29 All of the patterns are stamped using the stamps that I made my invites with. Ton of fun, but took a long time to create.
Based off of Sketchember 2019 9/27. So glad I saved all the ephemera from planning our wedding. I am able to journal with thoughtfulness. I am going to put the major bits between the pages. Then the rest can finally be recycled. I've hung onto it for almost 16 years, but worth it now!
It's been fun reliving these moments while I am dealing with "real life" with DS. Off to watch him IN PERSON for his first wrestling match since February of 2020! Wahoo!

I made my first ever slimline card. Not sure what I think of the card shape honestly, but I do think it's cute. It's for our professional lead at work, we *really* *really* appreciate her. Last year, I did my "you keep our boat afloat" card which perfectly described what she does for us. This year, I felt I needed something "catchy" again and came up with this...the "pawsome" isn't original...but I'm very proud of myself because I did think of adding "your the leader of our pack" all by myself! I created the stenciled background with only 3 colours of distress oxides blended together. I did 2 backgrounds, then cut the "frame" so I could pop it up above the background. The alpha is that same die cut alpha I keep going back to, but this time I only used the outline. card pawsome by kirstendrew, on Flickr

grammadee the first movie page turned out really well! I spotted the film strip acetate there, it's a really nice touch with the viewfinder piece and the punched hearts. Getting a photo with the Abominable poster was great - another happy face that creates a triangle of happy faces on your page kitbop your slimline card is great. I love that you got that whole rainbow of color from just a few inks. Great pun with your pawsome bonus sentiment. angel97701 I love that you're incorporating things you've saved from wedding planning and making the invitations into your pages. It will be good to finish up the pages and recycle the pieces that aren't needed any more but it's good that they're helping you now. schroema you're making me want to head east and go exploring! I'm enjoying seeing all the fun pages here. Sorry I haven't had time to look closer and comment on everyone's work. This month has completely gotten away from me. I'm not even sure what I've done or what I've shared.

Did this layout from a sketch from the 6x6 Alison Davis class. The sketch has 4 squares of strips behind the photos, grid like. I rotated them to the diamond diagonal, and added mixed media to the white background... mixed media is always a crap shoot, but I like what I got this time! I distressed the edges of all the paper strips and squares in the background for that "rugged" look layout like father unlike son by kirstendrew, on Flickr Did this layout in 2 hours! Used this sketch which I intended to share on iNSD but didn't get around to. I thought it might be a good sketch for our Shimelle half-and-halfers! sketch 9 insd 2021 by kirstendrew, on Flickr Came up with this using Vicki B. papers, thickers, and mixed media background. It was a fun way to use up lots of those little puffy dots that came on the thicker sheet. I created my own title, die cut letters/ink. layout it's a cohawk by kirstendrew, on Flickr

knock knock, me again! I seem to be on a real creative tear this week! The online crops help immensely. I started with an Alison Davis 6x6 sketch for this one, but it took a fairly big turn away from the original. What's so cool is that I did this with only scraps of paper. layout comic collapse by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I will try to take a better photo showing all the cards I made, but just in case I don't get around to it, this is a stack of 21 cards I made from 3 patterned papers I bought the other day while the roof was getting replaced. The papers are by Damask Love, they seem to be Joann exclusive. I thought they might work well for my Hawaii-resident SIL. I chopped them and used them up right away so they wouldn't feel too "precious" - I knew I could go back for more if I had second thoughts about how I used them but keeping it simple was fine. They're really busy - DL doesn't really do usable b-sides - but I love the colors. http://instagram.com/p/CPUBAAcpWkj

joblackford , that is one happy stack of cards! I need to make two grad cards before Friday morning. I like doing personalized cards, but sometimes I wish I would just sit down and make a whole stack of them to choose from when I need them. This morning I used kitbop 's sketch for a camping page. Funny thing is, I liked the sketch mostly for the clusters of bits along the dividing strip, but once I got the page assembled, that didn't really speak to me any more, so my hearts and arrows and stars are scattered rather than concentrated.
While they were here, the running joke was that dd & family were registering into a site on our campsite. Lots of good natured ribbing about our treating them extra special so they could give our facilities a good Yelp review, and our threatening to double the site rental if they kept making so many demands. Not sure how much of that will go on the journaling which will be on the facing page.
ETA: Thursday I finished the facing page:
POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). R-3 seven photos shared for the Donna challenge (7), P-1 twine (1), P-2 twenty six stickers (26), P-4 metallic fork (1), P-5 those WRMK stickers are at least 5 years old (2), P-9 roughed up journaling card (2), S/I-2 eight hearts (8), S/I-3 seven stars (7), S/I-5 tag (1), S/I-7 arrows (1), C/M-1 green grass (1), T-1 used fringing scissors on the grass (2), T-2 torn, distressed inked edges (2), T-4 stamped date (1), T-5 foliage diecuts (1), T-9 rolled edge (1), W/T-8 three fonts (3), Th-1 four family members (4), and five pic's with at least two of them (10), Th-6 outdoors (2), N/S-1 five stars and five hearts on second page (10) N/S-3 four patterns (4), N/S-4 two clusters (2), N/S-6 three small photos (3), )-2 both pages inspired by Shimmelle (10), 0-12halfsies (2). total: 118.

joblackford very pretty cards! I was eying that Damask Love paper at Joann as well. grammadee love that camping LO! The blue paper is unexpected but goes really well. As for re-doing pages, it is not something I make a habit of doing so I don't necessarily want to encourage other people to second-guess their already completed layouts..
