Happy Tuesday! You all are rocking these projects! I didn't know if you all saw this article or video but former First Lady Michelle Obama is a knitter!!! She started last year and it is neat to here her talk about it. I wrote a blog post about it with the links to the article and video. Hope you stop by! Link Here

I'm still loving junk journalling, I made a TN size journal and I've almost filled it. I made this journalling card today, I've never done this kind of collage before, there was a lot of staring at it, moving things around and wondering what the heck I was doing involved. I'm happy with the end result though.

made a star barn quilt for inside my house, between kitchen and living areas. It's just shy of 3ft square. (34x34?) Instagram is easiest to post photos, for me. http://instagr.am/p/CPHSpnsg_9J

Dang it lainey, your yarn crafts were easy for me to resist, as I have no clue when it comes to yarn, but these journal pages of yours are going to suck me in. Of course I have copious quantities of paper, how else would I have found twopeas.

lainey I'm so glad you are enjoying your yarn break with paper crafts. Looks like fun. I enjoy doing that too. A change up is usually just what I need. Hope it works that way for you too.

I’ve finally finished all the elements for the 2020 Christmas Garland. I’ll assemble it like the lower picture closer to Christmas. Special shout-outs to gillyp and jeremysgirl for their unfailing support and encouragement. I’m thrilled but it was so fiddly - 58 holly leaves and the rocking horse really tested me. I’m not 5 months late 😉☺️ - I’m 7 months early 😆

My quilt is ready to head to the quilter! Waiting to hear back on when I can go over with my DD (the quilt recipient) to pick out the quilting pattern and drop it off! Sooo excited!
Next question... do I tip? I’m paying around $200 to have it edge to edge quilted with a simple pattern. No changing patterns up or anything. She is the sole employee/owner of the machine.

We dropped to page 3! Crafters! Get it done! Took my quilt to the long arm. DD picked out a design for all over. We chose light gray/silver almost thread for the quilting. I should get it back Friday thus week! The lady is about 10 mikes from me. . I’ll bind it this weekend and be done!

Hi guys! It's been a slow month of crafting for me and it have been for you guys too. This thread is not nearly as long as usual. I will post a pic of my Whatchamacallit so far. My DS, who has come out as my DD, has been in the hospital. I took the blanket up to work on it while I was visiting and she said it was so pretty. I told her she can have it when I'm done as gift for being so brave and coming out as transgender. ❤️

So, I got the binding sewn to the back of the quilt. I LOVE it! Getting it to the front is another matter. It keeps puckering. I tracked down a walking foot so hopefully that will fix my issue. Another option is to use washout tape or glue or stitchwitchery to get it stuck down before I sew it. It's in the naughty corner until tomorrow.

I agree with michym. I don't think we got a preview of the back. And I think both sides are great!

She never had a sewing machine. EVERYTHING by hand. Crazy.🤪 It skipped generations as neither I nor my mother quilted. My eldest has though. I only inherited the crazy part.😉 seaexplore I adore both sides of your quilt, too. ❤️ Although MUCH prettier the reverse reminds me of polyester quilts my grandma made out of old polyester clothes. Utilitarian. Just piece together for use, not the best looking thing cuz polyester... But oh my goodness the warmest things ever.
