Totally off this weekend! DH and I decided the safest thing for DS was for him to stay home instead of attending my nephews wedding in PDX. It is 3 hours drive, he encouraged me to drive over early so o could spend more time on my parents whom I’ve seen twice in the last 15 months. It’s been longer than that since I’ve seen my siblings! So I won’t be around virtually this weekend.

So I won’t be around virtually this weekend. Glad you are getting away and seeing family! From time to time we scrappers need to leave our scraprooms and actually MAKE memories to document! Take lots of photos, and encourage people to snap pic's of you. Have FUN! Hoping your ds will be safe and happy at home while you are gone.
I had my little adventure yesterday, going to hardware and farm supply stores for dh, and meeting up with justjac at the LSS. Picked up some new supplies to play with. Hope to use some of them tomorrow when I host the Sunday virtual crop. I know it is a long weekend in the US and with things opening up that people actually have places to go, things to do, and people to see, but hoping there will be a few people who will drop in to play with me...
Today I am finishing off a couple of pages I started a couple of weeks ago, then set aside. Haven't done a girlie page for awhile, so this is taking a little longer than usual. Pushing through. Just 3 more LO's to do for LOAD. If I made it this far, I can't stop now!

Good Morning! I can't believe this month is over already. It flew right by and I got little done. I'm hoping for some mojo to show up here soon lol. I know it's bad when I don't feel like scrapping OR shopping LOL! I have chores and grocery shopping to get done today. And I want to join in virtually this weekend, at least for a bit. I'll drop in with you tomorrow grammadee angel97701 enjoy your time with your family!! And it's almost time to figure up points.... won't be hard for me I only finished two pages this month. :/ I hope everyone has a good weekend. Today is the only sunny day we have had in the last two weeks and it's the only one we WILL have for at least the next week. I miss the sun.

grammadee I watched some cool videos the other day with quick inky background techniques that made me think of you. I’m not sure why exactly - I know you’re not the only person here who likes to play with a bit of mixed media - but I thought you’d enjoy these. I think they were use what you’ve got kind of techniques and I always think of you using all of your scraps and extra bits to make cool pages and cards. Remind me to post them for you! I’m trying to do different things on the weekends than on weekdays so maybe a bit of gardening and digital scrapbooking is on the menu. And I’m very late to the homemade bread baking trend but I got a couple of books from the library and I think I’m going to try a couple of simple recipes. We were given a massive box of free food yesterday so I might make a few things this weekend - like my nana’s one crust apple pie, yum. No soggy bottoms if you don’t have a bottom crust And I need to count up all my points... oops.

I think i like the messier techniques b/c no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get anywhere NEAR perfection : can't seem to cut straight even with a trimmer, or line things up square, and my patience runs pretty thin when fiddling with little bits that have to be placed precisely. I have learned not to expect a result until I see it, so playing with media is just that: playing...
Speaking of baking, I made banana bread yesterday for the first time in about 20 years. Didn't have all the ingredients, so I improvised. It tastes pretty good. Maybe I should write down "my" recipe before I forget what I put in it ...
Hey team mates: when adding up your points, don't forget to look at the OTHER category. There are points for NOT crafting any given day, and for NOT spending money!

Thanks for the points tip grammadee! I can not craft on a given day almost as well as I can craft. I posted a new thread on the cardmaking board with the videos about inks and backgrounds. They’re pretty fun.

So for the month, with a little help from both not spending, not scrapping (due to other obligations), spending this weekend while in PDX at Craft Warehouse, and iNSD sales . . . I totaled 2240 points.
Visit with my Mom was great, Dad's Alzheimer is progress, but someone bought us breakfast on Sunday morning because of his WWII Veteran's hat. I spent two nights at the hotel about 2 miles from where I owned a home until 2004. The wedding was at a historical home with beautiful gardens. Outdoors, with the reception in a shade tent. BEAUTIFUL! Got to see many shirt-tail relatives (nephew's Aunts & Uncles on the other side), meet my niece's fiancee from Norway before he goes back, and just spend time enjoying! Beautiful photos as the weather was wonderful! (It can be hit or miss in the valley in Oregon on Memorial Day weekend.)
Called my mom on the way into town and said, "should I stop at Craft Warehouse on the way in or the way out?" She said, do both directions! They had a 40% coupon I got to use both days. So shopping in person at a decent craft store was fun! They still have a good selection of NEW items that Michael's Jo-anns, and Hobby Lobby do not carry.
Home now, and getting caught up on chores. Don't know if I will have time to craft this evening or not? I work 1/2 day tomorrow, then 4 more 1/2 days later in the month. DH might be leaving tomorrow for up to two weeks for business. Not really looking forward to having DS on my own for that long. We ARE meeting the first possibility for a Direct Support Worker this afternoon. Please pray with me that DS will be accepting and that they hit it off.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day. We are blessed by our veteran's for all they have sacrifice that we are the land of the free because of the brave! That includes my Dad and BIL, and our neighbor who is currently serving in Korea.

Hey team mates: when adding up your points, don't forget to look at the OTHER category. There are points for NOT crafting any given day, and for NOT spending money!Ok, now this is just sad! I got more points this month when I was at my most UNproductive! First time I've cracked 1000 lol. May flew right by me and yet iNSD seems like it was 6 months ago!

I knew creating that languishing challenge would benefit a lot of us! Between that and being so busy I didn't have time to shop, I racked up a good amount of points for me. Total May points - 1160

This month got away from me in a weird way - I crafted almost every day but somehow didn't get an awful lot done...
Total for me: 1531
ETA: does this qualify me as a Pokey Pea?!
