This is the Mid-century modern bookshelf I put together for my new office. My oldest DD moved back out in April after a year of crashing at our house, and now that I am working from home forever, it is wonderful to claim my own space. Funny thing is I just wanted a simple bookshelf and didn't know I was a fan of this furniture style, but once I saw this I had to have it. I loved it so much I bought the skinny version for the other side of my office, then added a 50s-looking TV stand for good measure. I am feeling very Don Draper today. I can day drink at home, right? What a great looking cabinet. Looks like you need to hit some vintage shops to "merchandise" it. How fun!

I take so many sky photos. I think I have a problem. LOL I have a perfect view of the sunrise from kitchen window and of the sunset from my front porch. I took this pic last week. It is edited a bit, but only because my photo didn't look as pretty as the sky really looked that evening. So while this pic is edited, it is exactly what the sky actually looked like. ill be loving youI have this same problem, especially on days when I'm going to work. On those days I have to walk my dog early in the morning so I get the sunrise. As I'm taking yet another photo of it one side of my brain is thinking "this probably looks just like yesterday's and the one from the day before..." and the other side of my brain is thinking "oh it's so gorgeous, never saw one like it before!" hahaha When I post them on Facebook people reply to say how much they like seeing the sunrises, so....

These little cuddle buns. 🥰 They’re all stressed out because we’re remodeling the kitchen, and all they want to do is cuddle (and bite my feet, but that’s a different photo...lol)

This was the last photograph I took of Turriff back in December. He was so tired. That’s a wonderful photo of him. Soulful eyes.

Loving all these pictures! This is one of the baby barred owls who were born a year ago. I’ve been photographing them since they came out of the nest. Those talons 😲🥰

I did a branding photo shoot today and just got a few sneak peeks! I spent January & February rebranding my business with a designer and am so happy with my new logo and website, so the photo shoot was the next step! Good luck!

Such a great idea to have a photo thread. This picture is one my husband took of Blea Tarn in Cumbria, England. He has always loved taking photos . He has recently got back into it after having a near miss with a rare heart condition a couple of years ago ,called aortic dissection. He is no longer able to work full time due to health problems but has recently set up a sort of hobby shop on Etsy . He is a link in case anyone wants to take a peek. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WestLakesImagesSince his surgery , he hasn’t been able to lift any of his old camera equipment due to the weight risk so we replaced it with lighter stuff and find places with views to take shots from the car . ps having trouble posting pic currently trying sort out. Second attempt - here goes ! I’m glad you guys were able to find a way to get him out and enjoying something he loves to do. Getting out to shoot is my shutter therapy...very necessary

Based upon yesterday's poll, let's give this monthly thread a go and see if it takes hold. If not, no harm, no foul. Phone pics? Yes. DSLR pics? Yes. Point and shoot pics? Yes. Out of focus pics? Yes. Award-worthy pics? Yes. Pics of your children, grandchildren, spouse, partner? Yes. Your holiday/vacation, your food, flowers, etc...yes. Your dog, cat, llama, cow, chickens? Yes! No rules other than: 1. Please be considerate of others when posting. and2. Please either host your images elsewhere (such as postimages.org) or use Tapatalk to upload so that we do not use the little bandwidth available for this forum. Each month's thread will have directions for posting from postimages and Tapatalk in the first post. To use postimages.org to host your photos (which literally, despite the directions below, takes just a minute):1. Make an account on their site. if you're concerned about privacy, choose something other than your real name as your "nickname" on the site. 2. Upload your images to the site. Just click on the "choose images" button, navigate to where you keep your photos on your device (phone, table, laptop, or desktop), and select the images you want to upload. You can upload them one at a time, or select many to upload at one time. If you have problems with this, please google for instructions how to do so from your device. 3. Select "my images" at the top of your screen, and click into the image you'd like to share. 4. Copy the "HOTLINK FOR FORUMS" url for that photo, then paste it into a reply here and VOILA. You are done! To use Tapatalk to post your images (from monklady) Even if you never use it for reading the board, or for posting anything else, it is the easiest way to post photos. You just click the photo icon after you’ve opened the reply box, choose your photo, choose your size (the one I just posted is “small”), wait for it to upload, click “reply”, done. If I can do it with no problem then anyone can do it. 🤪 Also, it would be nice if you told us a bit about your image and/or supply some context. ___________________________________________________ I'll start this month's thread off with a pic I took yesterday. After a several year hiatus from my DSLR, I picked my camera up again the beginning of last month. My favorite subject is flowers, specifically close up/macro shots. My camera is 12 years old and still works like a champ, hurray! And my lenses are also happy, double hurray! I am a fiend for flowers and you can often find me wandering parks and public gardens in the spring and summer. I also often buy perennials at the nursery for the specific purpose of photographing them. This columbine is one of those plants. I will give it away when it's done blooming this year, as I don't do pink in my terrace "garden." I always love your flower photos!

This is Princess Leia. She got spayed on Friday and is taking ‘calming meds’, so I am getting lots of cuddle time. She adores her big brother, Obi 1, who is 7. He is probably enjoying her calmer medicated self as she terrorizes him, chewing on him, taking toys away from him, retrieving her toys back from him, running onto the furniture then jumping off onto him. Chewbacca passed last August, just shy of her 16 bday. She was my avatar photo with her buddy looking thru the screen door.

It's hard to pick just one - we hiked this slot canyon a few weekends ago and it was amazing. I was afraid I was going to have to come track you down and bring you to this thread so glad you're participating! I don't think anyone needs to limit themselves to one photo. We just don't want to overwhelm other participant's images so to speak. So PLEASE share more! And/or more throughout the month (goes for eveyone)!
