Oh dear! Hope he heals speedily. Will the cast be a badge of honour or is he upset at its curtailment of activities?

My older Endless Summer Hydrangea this afternoon. I've had this plant since 2016. There will be blooms into the Fall. This year our January was so mild I even had several blooms then! Oh how I wish I had some shade

DD15 is in week 2 of circus performances, so there are no shortage of photos. This act is called Four Girl Spinning Cube "a large hollow and sideless three dimensional aerial cube upon and through which performers exhibit various holds and poses. Like contortion, but in the air." In this this photo I captured, she has the dark hair/braids facing the camera. Love this act! So cool

Two more from DS’s graduation Him singing the alma mater and a favorite I got with my phone. Faculty lined the path to exit graduation. DS saw the voice teacher he had for 4 yrs and I caught an embrace. Loved it! (Although the man to the left is another favorite…but I didn’t recognize him in mask so I missed a pic of DS and him

@lettuce - beautiful flowers! I'm partial to blue & purple flowers. Since they don't grow around here, the only bluebell I ever see in in the wild is this >

Thank you! We are in zone 9, and while they look so perky and green right now, by September they will look a bit more rough around the edges. Endless summer is a good name for what we live with down here! The photo of your daughter's performance is amazing! She - as well as you - must have nerves of steel! Does she plan to make this a career? Us northerners knew that Endless Summer must be blooming somewhere! She doesn't plan to make it a career, she'd like to go to med school. She loves it nonetheless. But there are many kids at her circus school who do hope to go pro.

JoP - beautiful flowers! What is the one in the bottom picture? It looks so frilly and dainty. Oh how I wish I had some shade Until this past Fall, they were more in a less shaded area. While they did bloom, they looked nothing like they do now. The wall they are currently against gets morning sun, which they apparently love. Here is a photo of the newer purple one (I need to get the food to make the soil more acidic as they are leaning too much towards pink), as well as a photo of them both. This is the second summer for the left one, and the 6th summer for the right one.

can’t seem to get the tag to work for some reason. You have to hover over a member name to see what their actual registration name is. Mine is just gypsygirl. It won't let you use symbols when you register, so I edited my Display Name so that my name matched the one I used on the old board. Anytime you have a name that won't tag, just hover over their name.

Such a great idea to have a photo thread. This picture is one my husband took of Blea Tarn in Cumbria, England. He has always loved taking photos . He has recently got back into it after having a near miss with a rare heart condition a couple of years ago ,called aortic dissection. He is no longer able to work full time due to health problems but has recently set up a sort of hobby shop on Etsy . He is a link in case anyone wants to take a peek. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WestLakesImagesSince his surgery , he hasn’t been able to lift any of his old camera equipment due to the weight risk so we replaced it with lighter stuff and find places with views to take shots from the car . ps having trouble posting pic currently trying sort out. Second attempt - here goes ! WOW this brings back some memories for me. We use to live in Cumbria and we had planned on going back this spring but are holding off till next spring. We lived in Great Urswick on a tarn.

If you follow me on IG, you may have already seen this over there. Today, 11 friends and I went for a 3.5 mile walk through our city’s arboretum. UNMASKED. This area is called Azalea Way, and we times our visit perfectly. Afterwards we all sat at picnic tables and enjoyed our lunches on a glorious 70+ degree day. We are all 2+ weeks out from our second dose of the vaccine. It has been nearly 15 months since I’ve been with this many friends. Inside or outside. It was a-freaking-mazing. I mean seriously, best therapy ever. This compared to last year at this time, it’s all I need for now.

I love ranunculus but have never seen ones like this. Gorgeous! I've also never seen them growing in pots... only as cut flowers. MichyM - I too am loving this thread and thank you for starting it. I'm so happy that you had such a fun "normal" outing with long missed friends. woot!
