Update to my pea friends Had my seed implant yesterday. Surgery is scheduled for Monday. Lumpectomy and lymph node biopsy. I’ve been a bit weepy. Bought some scrap paper to fussy cut while I am off. Will be having a nerve block with sedation. I’ve always talked to my patients about them, but now I will have first hand knowledge. Any personal experience you can share?? Thanks for the support. HUGE hugs to you. No personal experience on my part, but one of my sisters has gone thru a lumpectomy when she was only 19. She recently was told by her radiologist (after her routine mammo) that she needed an ultrasound, etc., but her insurance denied it. So she's fighting it.
I have 3 other friends, all over age 60, who are going through the lumpectomy and lymph node biopsy. What is happening?? Are they just being careful??? One of them just went thru chemo & radiation and she seems to be doing well. The other 2 turned out to be fine after the lymph node biopsy. I pray that that's what happens in your case.
Try to turn your working-brain off and we'll all be praying for the best. xo
