You are strong! You are a true warrior! You got this! You can do it! You have come to far to quit now.
Hugs, this is tough. Hope you have the support you need from your family and friends but also know the peas are here if you need us.

I'm sorry to read this. My gosh, you are tough doing chemo and radiation at the same time! Praying for you and healing. I wonder if maybe complimentary therapy, like acupuncture could benefit you?
I am currently in chemo treatment for breast cancer, also almost half way thru. It is the pits, and I am ready to be done!
Wishing you some relief.

Sweet Pea, I can relate. I had my 4th of 7 chemos last Monday and I feel as if I'd been hit by a truck. It isn't just the pain, it's all the other nothing-things on top, isn't it? The nose-bleeds, sore mouth/throat, soles of feet, infected toenails, painful bruises, watering eyes, ringing head, headaches, diarrhoea, fever, exhaustion - none too bad individually but put them all together and it's a whole sewer of sh1t, a landfill of rubbish.
I'm told it will get better, and it will for you too. Meanwhile you're allowed to lose your sh1t, cry, wail, and get someone else to get the dinner - again. I VALIDATE YOU. Then, when the pain pills have kicked in, pick yourself up and do what you can. You CAN do this, you can.
P.S. Yesterday was my chemo halfway point and I'm celebrating. Find something you can celebrate too. It helps. The biggest of big, gentle, squishy hugs to you.

My heart goes out to you scrapmomof2 and you, too, RedSquirrelUK It's exhausting to have to go through all of that. I hope you are able to find teeny tiny bits of joy in your days and I really hope your pain will go away so so quickly. Many hugs!

(((Hugs))) I’m so sorry you are going through all of this.
I had a bad reaction/side effect to the Cytoxan I had as part of my BC chemo and felt like I was peeing glass shards for over a month. I went to the ER a couple of times because the pain was so bad It was like the worst bladder infection I had ever had and the pyridium did nothing to relieve the pain.
I hope that you recover quickly and that f-ing cancer stays the f away from you from here on out.

Even without the gory details, your side effects sound ugh. I’m glad that you’re feeling positive and you’re able to entertain yourself.* Your husband sounds like a keeper. Well done, him.
(*Maybe you spend some of your idle time making us a list of TV/movies/books you’ve enjoyed.)

I'm so sorry you're dealing with so much!!
I don't know the exact area of your radiation burns, but when my skin started to open up under my breast (an area that stays, warm/wet and constantly rubbing) my radiologist gave me this fabric with silver in it. I would cut a decent sized piece and let it fold under and around my boob (if that makes sense). It seemed to really help with the open skin/burn. It's called InterDry and comes in a roll. Per the box "Moisture wicking fabric with antimicrobial silver. Not sure if it could help, but wanted to share just in case!
