I do salads 4-5x a week for lunch. Today I mixed romaine and butter lettuces and topped with: crispy bacon grape tomatoes bleu cheese garlic cheese croutons jumbo shrimp (from last night's dinner) Olive Garden dressing
It was delicious! What's on your salad? (said with a game show host voice)

Since Olive Garden dressing has been available to buy in stores ~ game changer ! Favorite add ins are bacon, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, croutons, shredded cheese, cucumber. Not that I have all of those things at the same time. A few I usually have.

Side salad with dinner last night was mixed baby greens, english cucumber, cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, shredded cheddar cheese and 1000 island dressing.
One of my favorite lunch salads is mixed baby greens, shredded rotisserie chicken, chopped walnuts, dried cherries, feta cheese and blush wine vinaigrette. Yum!

My favorite salad consists of baby spinach, raspberries (substituted by blueberries or blackberries on occasion), madarin oranges, craisins, finely shredded parmesan cheese, and poppyseed dressing.

last night? mixed salad greens, tomatoes, shredded triple cheddar, cucumbers, turkey and ham slices, hardboiled eggs, and avocado with an Italian dressing
tonight will be a side dish - tomatoes, avocados, cucumbers, basil, and a vinegrette (I think)
the night before? DD14 made an marinated onion/cucumber salad
tomorrow? mixed salad greens, tomatoes, onions, shredded triple cheddar, taco meat, refried beans, tortilla chips, sour cream and salsa con queso
we're eating a main dish salad 2-3 times a week and a side dish the other nights at the moment. We're had a cobb salad, a beefy taco salad with corn, a fajita salad, a caprese salad lately...

My housemade salads are typically spinach, fresh berries, toasted slivered almonds, and a housemade dressing. That said, my favorite salad right now is this one. I had it for lunch on Friday and am planning on having it again for dinner on Thursday. If I could have it every day, I don't think I'd complain about it Seared Wild Alaska Weathervane Scallops and Wild Mexican Prawns with cashews, avocado, tomato, feta, basil, lemon, olive oil on romaine. SOOOOO GOOD!

My favorite salad that I make is a version of my favorite one from the Royal House in New Orleans.
Spinach with red onion, bacon, blue cheese, dried cranberries, thinly sliced granny smith apple, candied pecans, mandarin orange sections and tipped with grilled shrimp.
Homemade raspberry vinegarette dressing made with a spoon of raspberry jam with a bit of red wine vinegar and water the thin.

Bacon Cheese Eggs shredded carrots protein can be turkey, ham, shrimp, chicken... not picky on that croutons crispy onions My favorite dressing is Poppy Seed but ranch is always an option. A restaurant that I can't remember served a warm bacon dressing which was to die for. Never found it again. It was a chain place. Romain mix lettuce..
I am the world's pickest eater.. or probably the most picky on 2peas... So I am not about all the berries, kale, lemon, nuts, and many veggies.. Yes, my mom made me eat my veggies, but yeah, I'm 10. LOL

LOL Right there with you, although I can tolerate dried cranberries and sunflower seeds! I recently had major heart surgery and am trying very hard to up my veggie intake. Before my surgery, I may have had a half dozen servings of fruits and veggies a week - now I am trying to do that daily and mostly suceeding. I am getting really tired of salad though, mostly because I am quite a picky eater, but it is pretty much the only way to get all those servings in each day. Most days for lunch I have a salad with romaine lettuce, cuccumber, tomato, mushrooms, chicken, shredded cheese and french dressing. I sometimes have a broccoli salad with chicken, onions, shredded cheese and a bit of mayonnaise for lunch if I have some fresh broccoli to use. I make a cabbage salad with broccoli, carrot, green onions, sunflower seeds and dried cranberries to have as a side salad with dinner. Another side salad we like is a broccoli with red onion, dried cranberries and sunflower seeds (bacon use to be an add in as well but I'm cutting back on sodium). I make a dressing with mayonnaise, white sugar and white wine vinegar for the side salads.

Literally just finished one - feta, cukes, Kalamata olives, red onion. Your basic Greek salad. And it was great!
I don't like fruit or nuts on my salad so Greek salads, Caesar salads are my go to.

A whole orange segmented A handful of strawberries in chunks A handful of cherry tomatoes quartered Some cucumber matchsticks A few mini peppers stuffed with feta Half an avocado chopped Shredded lettuce, whatever I can get Pomegranate seeds
I can eat this every day. No dressing needed as the orange is juicy and there is a little oil from the peppers, they are sold in oil.

I can't believe you posted this today! I was just coming in to post for recommendations on green salads with fruit. My favorite salads are from Nordstrom and Coopers Hawk -- anything with goat cheese, dried cherries, pecans, etc. Nordstrom has a great cherry balsamic dressing that they sell in bottles. I'm going to have to make my favorites at home because none of them are on the new menu for N's Bistro. Any favorites to share, anyone?

I love salads. Probably my favorite to make at home is Romaine lettuce with a little spinach, grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, strawberries, beets, pecans, sunflower seeds, and cranberries. I'm not huge on dressing, but I will have a little on the side. Sometimes poppyseed, sometimes honey mustard, or maybe a vinaigrette.

I made Fattoush last night -- romaine, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, parsley, green onions, lemon/olive oil dressing, sumac, and broken toasted pita. It was so yummy.

Lately, I’ve been making salads that consist of:
Bed of baby spinach, Persian cucumbers chopped up, Blueberries, Pistachios And sometimes some feta crumbles.
Sometimes I’ll add roasted chicken.
Usually a balsamic or poppyseed dressing.

Any of the following:
Olives Beets Sunflower seeds A few craisins Feta or goat cheese Grape tomatoes in season Cukes Red or yellow pepper Hard boiled egg Blueberries or strawberries Toasted walnuts-yum!
Depending on what’s in the fridge. I like a big salad and might chop up some summer squash or broccoli if I have it. I mix spinach with romaine. I also put baby spinach on sandwiches because it’s good for you.
