Arguing with some left-wingers that don't give a hoot about our personal freedoms, Constitution, or Bill of Rights is not my idea of a peaceful day. It's a beautiful one--the sun's out, the humidity is low, and it's a great time to get out in the garden and enjoy the beauty and serenity. That's where I'll be.
I'm sure you'll still be here talking about Trump.
Have a good one!

I'm sure you'll still be here talking about Trump. Have a good one! I agree that arguing about the Constitution and Bill of Rights is exhausting. Freedom of speech does not extend to a privately owned company like Facebook. And freedom of speech excludes dangerous speech. Vaccine misinformation is a direct threat to public health. People are dying because of misinformation. The irony of someone who supported former complaining about left wingers trampling the Constitution is entertaining and depressing all at the same time. Do you have such a short term memory that you forget former wanted to trash the constitution, toss out votes and overturn the results of a free and fair election? He talked about a coup and led an insurrection because he lost! And anyone who thinks we should ignore Trump has their head buried in the sand or is simply ignorant. Unfortunately for all of us, he is very much in control of the Republican Party.

Dominion is taking them all out!! According to a report from the Washington Post, two pro-Donald Trump lawyers facing disciplinary sanctions for filing a lawsuit demanding $160 billion in damages over the 2020 presidential election results were called on the carpet on Friday by a federal judge. Attorneys Gary D. Fielder and Ernest John Walker appeared before Federal Magistrate Judge N. Reid Neureiter, who sits on the U.S. District Court in Colorado, on Friday and were pressed by the judge to explain their lawsuit filed just before Christmas that alleged "a vast conspiracy to steal the 2020 presidential election by the voting equipment manufacturer Dominion Voting Systems, Facebook, its founder Mark Zuckerberg, his wife Priscilla Chan and elected officials in four states," reports the Post's Rosalind Helderman. That lawsuit was dismissed in April and on Friday the two lawyers appeared before Neureiter who expressed skepticism over their motives. According to the Post, , the two were asked if they had been working as "a propaganda tool" for former president Donald Trump.Neureiter asked, "Did that ever occur to you? That, possibly, [you're] just repeating stuff the president is lying about?"before asking about the funding of the lawsuit. With the two attorneys insisting that did do their research -- and would be willing to file a lawsuit again because they believe there was provable fraud -- the judge asked about a website they said up to finance their endeavors. "Neureiter also questioned a website the lawyers set up to raise money to finance the suit, appearing to probe whether the lawsuit was filed to spur donations. The website is similar to fundraising efforts by other individuals and nonprofits that have said they are pursuing challenges to the election," the Post reported. "Fielder told the judge that 2,100 people had donated $95,000 in response to their requests for money and that all but $7,000 had been spent to prepare and file legal motions. 'I haven't tried to make money,' he said." www.rawstory.com/trump-election-lawsuits-2653812666/

Missouri, St Louis Dispatch editorial. July 17, 2021 Monday, a federal judge in Washington will determine the fate of the first of the Capitol insurrectionists to face felony sentencing. The case of Paul Allard Hodgkins is less egregious than those of many of his cohorts — he pleaded guilty to entering the Capitol with the mob but says he didn’t otherwise commit violence. Still, his plea for a sentence of probation should be rejected. What happened on Jan. 6 wasn’t just about trespassing and property damage. Anything less than prison time for anyone who participated would diminish the seriousness of a direct assault on American democracy. To review what happened that day: After being whipped into a frenzy by then-President Donald Trump’s false, crazed claims of vote fraud, some 800 of his supporters stormed the Capitol, smashing doors and windows, rummaging through desks, rolling over about 140 Capitol police officers, sending Vice President Mike Pence and members of Congress scurrying for safety and ultimately causing or contributing to several deaths — all with the goal of preventing official validation of an election result that the attackers didn’t like. Not since the Civil War era has there been such a brazen assault on the legitimacy of the U.S. government and democracy itself. www.stltoday.com/opinion/editorial/editorial-the-first-felony-sentence-against-a-capitol-rioter-should-send-a-clear-message/article_39551e94-eb78-5899-a2fe-a8dfc038d743.html?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_

Keep up-Psaki has already said that anyone banned/deleted on one platform should be banned/deleted on all platforms. This is just the beginning.
Oh, it's only 12 people. Who cares, it's only 1 platform. Hey, it's for the greater good. Look over there, remember Trump?
Your reaction to this is exactly what they're hoping for. A little here and there and nobody will notice or care. How'd that work out for China, Venezuela, and Cuba?
You might have more ground to stand on if you had raised the alarm about Trump’s increasingly authoritarian tactics, discussions of a coup and an attempted insurrection. But, you remained silent and were OK with all of that, so save your outrage. Monitoring your posts, drawing attention to ones with dangerous vaccine misinformation on Facebook or any other social media platforms is not an infringement of your freedom of speech. Facebook and other social media platforms are all privately owned companies. They have the right to flag or remove posts that they deem inappropriate or dangerous. Don’t like it? Then don’t use social media. Furthermore, there are restrictions to your freedom of speech, including speech that is dangerous. The WHITE HOUSE is flagging posts FOR Facebook to remove. The White House has effectively REMOVED the argument that Facebook and other social media platforms are privately owned companies working on their own. Furthermore, they have repeatedly proven they are for banning speech that hurts Democrats, the Biden campaign and their narrative, in any way. They are not banning speech to protect the public. If that was the case, they would ban Maxine Waters for inciting violence. You know since they banned Trump for inciting violence. Auntie Maxine is still on all platforms. So it's clear they're not at all concerned for public safety. It's completely political. Banning speech from the very people educated in and experienced in infectious diseases and viruses, that were saying very early on that it came from a lab. Couldn't allow that since it would've turned the focus of fault away from Trump. Not even for a moment. Banning speech on Hunter's laptop that would have cost Biden votes, so they did. They're not preventing speech that is dangerous, they're preventing speech that goes against their plans. They called truth false and dangerous in order to ban it. Part of the job of citizens, of journalists and responsible political leaders, is to question assumptions. And the fact that they're trying to prevent that is tyranny.

Oh no, not our beautiful State of Alaska too... Corruption... Guess who... GOP. The Alaska Supreme Court on Friday ruled that a campaign to recall Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy may proceed, arguing that the effort contains legally sufficient grounds to bring forth the matter to voters. The state high court’s ruling followed a legal battle over a recall committee’s effort to oust Dunleavy, a former teacher and school administrator who was elected to office in 2018, over arguments that he lacked fitness and competence to serve as the state’s governor and neglected his duties. The Recall Dunleavy Committee has specifically cited allegations that the governor violated the state Constitution by using his budget veto to punish judges for abortion-rights rulings, and that he used government funds for political purposes. The committee on its website also lists several other allegations that it says serve as grounds for Dunleavy’s removal, including his alleged cover-up of sexual harassment accusations against former Alaska Attorney General Kevin Clarkson, who resigned in 2020 following media reports of inappropriate text messages sent thehill.com/homenews/campaign/563550-recall-against-alaska-governor-can-proceed-court-says

The White House has effectively REMOVED the argument that Facebook and other social media platforms are privately owned companies working on their own. The fact is that Biden is attempting to go around the first amendment by using big tech to silence free speech. That is horrifying and if they succeed in weaponizing Facebook/Twitter/etc. to blow up the first amendment what are you going to do when a Republican gets in office and uses it to shut you up and push their own horrifying narrative or agenda?

Oh yes, lyin' Lindsey we know your golfing buddy, better known as Former, thinks he has unfinished business to do as president! We are not buying it!!! And I will be shocked — after spending two days with him — if he doesn't run again for president, because he believes he has unfinished business as president of the United States and he believes he can put the country in a better position than Biden has it," he continued. Even college age Republicans are showing their true stuff.. they stole an election from each other!! Claiming rampant fraud... Sound familiar? College Republicans are facing disharmony in their ranks after Courtney Britt was elected chair of the College Republican National Committee, the National Review reports. The election's legitimacy has been challenged after "only about 60 percent of CRNC affiliates were allowed to cast ballots. Britt reportedly "spent much of the day, however, voting not to allow numerous states — which had been sidelined over disputed credentialing issues — representation in the chairman's race. It is widely believed that [Judah] Waxelbaum would have had a sizable majority had all 52 eligible federations cast ballots. Just over 30 were actually allowed to." www.rawstory.com/college-republicans-disarray/

So sad for Former..... his golf course Turnberry.... It is truly a magical place, the players want to be there, and at some point in time the players will be there. But this course was not chosen for The Open because they consider a wonderful person, and many-time Club Champion, named Donald J. Trump, to be too controversial — this is, of course, a false reputation caused mainly by the Fake News Media," he added www.rawstory.com/cedar-point-nursery-v-hassid/

From the truth teller! I always tell the truth she has said... 'I said everything accurately': Kayleigh McEnany slams Jen Psaki over 'misinformation' at press briefings David Edwards July 18, 2021 McEnany concluded: "I just tried to make sure I said everything accurately. She's managed to stumble into a legal morass and I guarantee you there are a few people at the DOJ, at social media who are very unhappy with the things that were said at that podium." www.rawstory.com/kayleigh-mcenany-jen-psaki-misinformation/

Uh oh!! They teach your Conservative children (some minors) well!?!? Turning Point USA, the right-wing youth student organization led by Charlie Kirk, found itself in an unusual controversy Friday night after "conservative pornstar" Brandi Love was allowed into a Florida conference and welcomed as an "Adult VIP," sparking backlash. Imagine sending your kids to this conference think they're gonna learn about Christian Conservative values, and they come home with photos with pornstars," he added, attaching a photo of Love snapping a picture with a TPUSA attendee. Where many right-wingers cheered the ban on Love, an unlikely opposition force led by Federalist co-founder and frequent Fox News guest Ben Domenech also emerged: "I'm disappointed that TPUSA kicked out Brandi Love for no reason whatsoever. She's a Florida conservative businesswoman who loves America," he tweeted. "The right has an opportunity to be the big tent party. Don't be a bunch of prudes." www.rawstory.com/charlie-kirk-tpusa/Ben Domenech, husband of Megan McCain(3rd wife).

they consider a wonderful person, and many-time Club Champion, named Donald J. Trump, 'many time Club Champion?' What tournament is this, that DT won sooo many times? Did he get the ball into the clown's mouth and thru the windmill in the least amount of hits, loL?? I remember reading LOTS of reports that, 1) he cheats at golf to make sure he has the best score (but we all know that already); and 2) that he has had plaques made up showing he's the winner of some fake tournament that doesn't even exist. So I will take this report with a huge, beachball sized grain of salt. (and that screeching noise you hear is the sound of me playing my teeny, tiny violin for him.) --------------------------------------------------------------- ETA: that video of MTG and Matt Gaetz is GREAT! I'm not sure that MTG even comprehended that the guy was actually INSULTING them. lol.
