Update: So many cute names. I was partial to Ethel, but ultimately daughter decided on Matilda. Still a cute name for her! We got a female kitten yesterday. So far daughter likes Ethel.  Throw out some names!   |

Another option if you're going for "old-fashioned" names would be Violet. WAY back in the day, my grandparents had a cat named Violet and I've always liked it.

Love the "smudge" on her nose. Smudge would be a cute name for her, in my opinion! I think you have to live with a kitten for a while before you figure out what name goes with its personality, if you want to base it on their behavior. |

Our current pet names are all book inspired ... we have a dog named Gryffin (short for Gryffindor, of course!), a dog named Kinsey (for Kinsey Milhone), and a cat named Wattson (a compromise, I wanted Dr.Watson, but dd wanted Wattson after a female video game character) ... I'm going to name our next pet Prairie because I can think of no place more beautiful, and I'm totally not having any more kids name after my birthplace |
