CHALLENGES: Until 9:00PM MDT Thursday, June 3rd, you can lay down challenges in the JUNE Challenges thread. They can be challenges to create a particular project--say a page, or a card, or a piece of wall art,--Use a particular colour or material or technique or texture, use particular number or size of photos on a page, particular fonts, letters, or images, start or finish a project, or... Make it a challenge that will keep YOU excited about scrapping, maybe something that will get you going to actually FINISH that little mini album. SHARING: Your creations can be shared in individual challenge threads ( Regular monthly challenges) or in the June Sharing Thread on the General Scrapbooking board. You do not HAVE to share your creation to earn your challenge points, but only those shared will earn the Sharing points. POINTSEarn one point for your team each time you: *set a challenge *create something no matter the size. *share a photo or scan of that creation with us. Then you can choose to score points by either of these counting systems. And you don't have to stick to one system, so you can use one system for one creation and the other for another. We don't want to spend all our time doing MATH, so do what is easiest for you. OLD SCHOOL *meet ANY of the challenges. You can claim ONE POINT for every challenge your creation meets, PLUS any bonus points offered up by that challenge. No limit to how many challenges you meet with one creation. And you can use any of the challenges for points any number of creations during the month! EASY PEASY: After you have calculated in your creating (1 point) and sharing (1 point), you claim a flat number of points for each creation, depending on its SIZE ***Give yourself 20 points for every creation that is at least 8”x11”. **Give yourself 15 points for each creation that is between 5”x7” and 8”x11” *Give yourself 10 points for any creation smaller than 5”x7” If you create multiple cards with the same design (let's say 10 for this example), you can show us ONE of them. Then you would claim 10 for creating and 1 for sharing before going on with other points. (11 points in the example) * EASY PEASY, just go by points for that size (let's say 15 in this case) and multiply by number of cards (10), add on your points for creating/sharing (11) and your total would be 161 points for ten cards. *OLD SCHOOL: count up the points you earned for items on your one shared card. Let's say you picked up 20 points for it. Now multiply by the number of cards (10), so 200, and then add on your creating & sharing (11), so 211 points. Ready. Never done this before, so a bit nervous. grammadee , I have been thinking about you all weekend. You were so nice to call me out for the June challenge. You made me so proud. I hadn't done any 2021 scrapping all year before this weekend. I was doing DD then a mini book for me, then one for my sis, a bunch of cards, etc. And, in the back of my mind, I was thinking, maybe I should just not scrap each year anymore. The kids are older, maybe that part of me is done. But I got in there this weekend and starting going through pix from Jan & Feb. I saw all these random photos that mean so much to me. And I picked some. Printed them. Did a pocket page for Jan of just random stuff. And it felt so good to see the page when it was done. That's why I keep doing this. I do love it. Even when I sometimes grumble or other stuff gets in the way. When I look back at my photos and when I print them and see them on a page, I remember how much it makes me happy. I wanted to tell you that because somehow your kindness was part of what I was feeling and it felt like a hug.
