I was looking at the May thread and realized, oops, it's June!
It's going to be really hot this weekend, so I see more scrapbooking in my future.

Happy June! I really have to avoid my email inbox, or unsubscribe to a bunch of scrappy places. I haven't scrapped yet this month, but have already spent some money. Ordered some interactive dies yesterday ( THIS one and a couple of its friends)from ScrapAddicts in Edmonton. They are already in my mailbox; will pick them up tomorrow. And Scrapbook Generation caught my interest with their Free Kit Weekend promo. Have been scrolling through their site, adding to my cart, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I think my super hero loving dgs might be done that phase, but my mouse hovered over Reminisce HERO. What about you, joyfulnana? Is Rudy still living the super hero dream?

I see more scrapbooking in my future. I hope to me "scrafting" this weekend as well, however, I may see a weekend of organization coming, the DVD cases to put my stamps in arrived last evening. Who knows maybe I will do some of both. And are we talking weekend already it is only hump day - LOL. Come on weekend!!!!!!

I've been collecting stickers and things to help a new friend get introduced to scrapbooking. She is an older first time mom and I look forward to getting her started. We are going to do little books with pictures I had printed of her daughter and my granddaughter playing at their various activities. They are only a week apart in age.
I had an idea to finish scrapping my wedding album redo, but I have been unable to locate the remaining pages I need to redo. Tomorrow when I won't have DGD all day I am going to make a real effort to find them.
I dropped in Michaels today with a small $10 gift card from my birthday. I wandered around and around just to spend $10. Other than die cut machines they have abandoned scrapbooking as far as I'm concerned. At least stickers and patterned paper scrapbooking that I do. I didn't want to leave any money on the card so I grabbed some daisy stickers to match DGD's Easter dress and a tape runner for my friend to try.
I have a big trip at the end of the month to Texas and to California. Lots of picture taking I imagine. I looked to see if Frank Garcia Studio was anywhere near where I'm going but sadly, it isn't.

They pretty much have nothing other than recollections branded stuff at mine. Maybe a teeny tiny shelf of ranger alcohol inks but really not a lot of scrapping stuff. AND their prices are higher than my LSS! So there’s a copper paper I want. My LSS is out of it. At my LSS it would be $1.50, Michael’s has it for $1.99 and the best coupon I’ve seen in 3.5 weeks in 20% off which it would STILL be more than my LSS. I just can’t bring myself to buy it for that. Maybe while I wait my LSS will get it back in.

What about you, joyfulnana? Is Rudy still living the super hero dream? Rudy has moved on to things like Dragonball Z and dragons now. He still likes his super heros, but he doesn't dress up anymore. I think I did manage to use almost all of of the super hero papers I had. I haven't spent yet this month or scrapped. I'm reorganizing things and hope to finish that up this evening. The weather is going to be nice here for the first time in a couple weeks so I'm hoping to get out on Saturday and then taking DS2 to dinner for his bday Sunday. Joann is by far my favorite big box store right now. At least they carry some name brands and not just their in house knock offs. I don't bother going to Michael's or HL much anymore.

Just ordered another fb class. And I am not on Facebook LOL. This one is with the Papercrafters Workshop, a LSS in Ontario, Canada. I signed up b/c I want that die. Hoping to join another crafter in person over the summer to view the class materials.

Inspired by the Walgreens sale I finally sat down and got some pics ready for printing. I’d say 90%of my PL for this year is either printed or will be by the end of the day.
Now to actually sit down and do it - I even have cards picked & set aside for much of it.

I canceled one of my monthly kits. I need to use up some of what I have. Good job. I need to do the same. I canceled all but my Elle’s Studio kit, but I need to stop shopping and make a dent in my stash! All the recent sales sucked me in, so I need to get strict with myself and stop bringing in new product.

Yesterday I made time to play with photos and paper a bit.
Worked on putting together a couple April pandemic album layouts. Was able to include pics from my vaccination & my teen's. This album is almost finished. It'll be done when the youngest kids get vaccinated.

Would it be evil if I suggest to DH we visit his aunt about 2 hours away, then "suggest" we stop at the craft store in St. Cloud on the way home? Asking for a friend...

Where in California are you visiting?? My son lives in Morro Bay and works in San Luis Obispo. We are going to go up the coast a little bit to Capitola and probably down just to Pismo Beach area. Maybe Solvang.

You will love Capitola and it's not far from Monterey. If you can arrange to travel a few miles up the coast it's a ride you won't forget. The aquarium in Monterey is beautiful, the shops are a boatload of fun and the food on the wharf is to die for. San Diego is great. If you are not offended by zos the one in San Diego is really nice. The wild animal park is even better than the zoo.

My May photos arrived two days ago, so now I have April & May photos (and most of March) staring at me in the face, and no free time to play. *pout*
I can hardly believe it's already mid June. The year is absolutely flying right by!

I am working on going through all my paper and doing a purge. I know there are papers I will never use, so I'll pass them along. I have a full ziploc bag so far.

Have been playing with gilding flakes. Got some in a class kit and have pulled out some I have had for years. Love it when trends circle back to find me.

Last night I was trying to find my bathing suits and coverups. They are in none of the usual places, which seems to be the story of my life.
Anyway I found a tote bag and inside it was a stack of about 100 photos from around 1978. Basically most of the photos I haven't been able to find.
The bad news is that they go in the timeframe of my Arizona years project, that I thought I could finish up soon. This find will force me to add at least one more album and weeks of scrapping them.

myboysnme But yay found photos!! I've done a whole lotta nothing scrapbook-wise. Instead I'm focusing on the making memories part. With it being the kids' summer break from school, and (fingers crossed) the worst of covid behind us, we have been taking small daytrips to venues that I feel are low risk for the still unvaccinated (under 12 yr olds). I'm determined to not lose another summer, and to make this one a really great one for them.

myboysnme - yay for finding them! LavenderLayoutLady - making memories will be me in July - have fun with the outings mikklynn - that's my plan this afternoon and later evening for sure - Saturday and Sunday depend on what DH has planned (he's "platying it by ear" which makes MY planning hard) but definitely late evening at least.

I've been so good about not shopping but I had to go to HL to pick up something for DD14 tonight and they had stickers on clearance - picked up some white alphas and some themed stickers (horses, zoo, basketball, and bowling) that I know I can use. Got adhesive and cutter blades too but they're a need so they don't count.
But I've been scrapping today - 4 pages (3 layouts so far)

I have not scrapped in June, not even my planner really. Not past the first week anyway. It was only the 9th when I left home for a family wedding now I’m visiting friends. I did bring my planner with me because I was going to print on my sprocket & stay caught up but it hasn’t left my car.
So now the end of this month I’ll need to catch up. I signed up for a kit class at my LSS for next weekend they are bringing classes back but I’m busy the day of the first one.
But making memories is an important part of scrapping too right? ( especially after this past year )

No scrapping for me this weekend. My dd & family are camping on our yard, and later we are going out to supper to one of dh's favourite restaurants for Fathers' Day. Restaurants just opened up for in person dining a couple of weeks ago.

hop2 and grammadee - making memories IS important. Enjoy your weekends! I'm combining scrapping with housework today. One layout done so far, two loads of laundry, and lots of dishes. Going to pull together journalling for the next layout, pick a sketch, and then do some cleaning/organising in my craft space

I’m catching up on my planner from when I was away. I am up to the 15th.
I also have to clean my desk ( it’s a disaster ) so maybe Saturday I can scrap. 🤞🏻
Sunday I hope to go see my 2 kids 2 new apartments.
Also as the first 6 months of the year wrap up I need to create a cover for Jan-June 2021 memory planner and print July-Dec memory planner.
So lots of stuff to do
