Good Morning! schroema how fun to spend the week away and in Hawaii no less! I use the boxed adhesive squares you get at HL or Michaels to put the die cuts in the notebook. I use the composition books. OMG Yay! AussieMeg I'm so happy you have your Mac back! Linda your new kitty is adorable. Is this another kitty you found wandering on your property? I really want another cat, but Abby isn't good with other cats, and she gets say so lol. I'm still mojo-less. It's just dead lol. And rather than push it, I'm just going to take the break and wait for it to peek it's head out again. I know this is due to how busy we are at work and the energy drain that is, so I'm accepting that I may not be scrapping for another month or so until things slow down. (fingers crossed they actually do) So for anyone that feels like they "let the team down" - No such thing BTW - everyone has times they join a team and do nothing. Even me! LOL. I hope everyone else is finding time to relax and be crafty though! If I get myself in gear here I'm going to take Abby to the vaccine clinic they have at the shelter and get her up to date on everything. If I can get her into the carrier, she started hissing when I got it out of the closet lol.

We have one who isn't very good with other cats but our house is big enough he can stay out of their way and vice versa. We're watching like a hawk around Dusty though. Sorry about the lack of mojo -I've had those months as well and this month was looking to be one of them but I've suddenly gotten a burst of creative energy so am taking advantage while I can

joyfulnana sorry your creative mojo took a vacation. That happens to me too when I’m extra busy or stressed so I agree with your approach of just being patient and waiting for it to show up again.

I've puttered around and organized things, and looked at things, so maybe the mojo will be back soon. I am slowly working my way through the stamp class from AE site. I started a puzzle last night. I wonder if that could be considered "other" crafts LOL! Linda Dusty sure is a sweetie and I'm so glad he found your family. Will DD be taking any of the pets with her when she moves? angel97701 how are you doing? I've been thinking of you.

Thanks - he's a lot of fun - all our others are seniors (17/18 and then 3 11s) so it's been a long time since we've had a kitten. DD21 won't be taking any of them but DS29 is counting down the days until she moves in so HE can adopt some kitties. It's not feasible to have pets living alone when he gets sent on detachments regularly and he really misses having cats. So early next year, I'll get grand-kitties

Hoping you find your mojo soon, joyfulnana. Hoping that organizing your supplies and taking the class does the trick. Classes sometimes slow me down b/c I end up over thinking stuff. But I love it when people like schroema post pages based on classes. Then all I have to do is copy an effect! I have been playing with some simple challenges over at Scrap Happy. It is actually a rerun of last summer's mini LOAD where we were given a different colour of the rainbow each day for a week. No pressure to get the LO done on a particular day, and I am ignoring the theme prompts; just going colour by colour. Have red, orange, yellow, violet, and blue done. I have an idea for green, but not sure if I will finish it before I leave to visit my ds's family. Have used the colour prompts to complete a grad LO for each of two of my kids. Those 20+ year old photos rack up the points! I really should get both of my other kids' grad pages done soon ("Indigo" was going to be for one of them...) b/c when I come back from Calgary I will have a ton of current photos to play with, and we will be spending some time at the lake visiting dd's family while they camp for two weeks in July.

angel97701 how are you doing? I've been thinking of you. Real life has been keeping me busy. It's always some kind of phone call or two for DS each day. But I did get to work with "happy, healthy, normal teenagers" for 5 half-days at a local HS as a sub. This is the first year in many that I've not worked for most of the year. Before Covid in 19-20 I was getting close to my 600 hours for the year to add to my retirement. This year I think I've worked all of 60 hours if that! With the schools going all online, to hybrid twice a week, to 9:15-1:37, then finally 9:15-3:45, then the last 6 weeks back to 9:15-1:37 I needed to be available to care for DS. We really do not leave him alone on his own except when he goes on bike rides, then we check him for contraband. Somehow he still gets a hold of all kinds of vape pen garbage, THC and other stuff.
He's also been very disrespectful towards me, which is very typical for adopted kiddos, they strike out at the mom because it's the birth mom who left them . . . plus we are safe because we truly do love them. It gets very hard at times. VERY HARD! DH is getting better at seeing the behavior and backing me up.
DS thankfully DID NOT pass his first try at his driver's permit test, we didn't think he would, but let him try. We will wait until he asks to do it again before we make another appointment.
It just is really tiring to always be on high alert, and searching his spaces. The most helpful of outside resources has actually been the Case Manager Clinician from the Insurance Company! Rather than giving me a list of random resources she actually does the research to see if the professionals are experienced in working with FASD kids. But since DS is over 14, in our state he can refuse mental health therapy and occupational therapy for sensory issues. Makes absolutely no sense when he is functionally only 8-10. Working at the HS for a few days helped me re-calibrate what real 14-17 can and should be able to do!
A few cards and a layout or two. I have one to finish up when my mojo gets on board!
Plus now is a big time to get things going in the garden. In Central Oregon we start late . . . finally have nights that are higher than 40 degrees!

Ahahaha I love that Linda - "grand-kitties"! That's something I won't be having any time soon lol. grammadee I think signing up for two classes that ran at the same time wasn't good for my mojo. Putting pressure on myself to try to keep up/catch up. But I have a lot of stamps. So that class has been fun to watch and learn some stamping techniques. I also think it would do my mojo some good to jump into the next crop and maybe force it out lol. Have fun with your family creating fresh new memories! angel97701 ((((Hugs)))) I can only imagine how hard this is with DS. I'm glad you are getting more time out of the house and back in the classroom. I would love the cold nights! It's been high 90's here it only cools down to the 70's or sometimes 80's at night. It's been miserable. I always envy those of you in the cooler climates this time of year lol.

grammadee - the colour prompts sound fun! angel97701 - ((((Hugs))) and prayers. I'm glad you're getting a little break by subbing but I so wish life wasn't so hard for you right now. joyfulnana - sometimes pressure is a motivator but sometimes it's more of a brake. Hope the mojo is back soon. I finished scrapping the photos for DS's album and was putting layouts away tonight when I thought "that's wierd - no layouts for April or May 2020" - so I looked and yes - there were photos, I just hadn't printed them. So I placed a CVS order that DH will pick up tomorrow. And then I was going through my downloads and found one more June 2021 photo...so I placed another CVS order. So two orders with 10 photos between them, sigh. Tomorrow is housework day but I'm hoping I can get those 10 photos scrapped in the late afternoon/evening.

My excuse is that I am an old woman. I apparently wandered into this thread in error. (and there is no emoji for that...) Don't worry if I picked up any secret strategies or private gossip; my memory is like swiss cheese, so I won't remember a thing Before I shuffle out of here in shame, I wanted to remind you that the JULY team sign up thread has been posted. Please go over there and sign up for next month.

LOL grammadee you crack me up lol. You're always welcome in my team threads. No matter if you're spying or not Linda the pressure (completely self imposed) is definitely acting as a brake. Even though I knew when I signed up I wouldn't really have time to work on them. This has been a busy weekend and I have not taken a single picture. Kids are coming for dinner today so I'm hoping the scrapper in me pops out to get some photos - geez.

Good morning! Gees, how is it June 30th already? I didn't get much done in the way of scrapbooking but my lack of spending and creating got me to 618 points for the month.

I ended up with 780 points. I managed to get 16 pocket pages done and 2 traditional layouts. I finished up a shawl I was working on and managed 24 crochet hours. So I ended up with 340 points just for other crafts. Whew! I was busy this month.
