I have watched for years but just can't decide if I'm going to watch. I cannot stand Kaitlyn Bristowe. I liked her okay on her season but she looks and acts totally different now. Is anyone watching?
ETA: I started watching this morning and decided to go ahead and make it a season-long thread. PLEASE NO SPOILERS FROM SPOILER SITES. ONLY POST EPISODE SPOILER AFTER THEY HAVE AIRED. WEST COAST PEAS, BEWARE!
I also read that Wells Adams will have more of a role in Bachelor in Paradise this summer. I think he will handle the rose ceremonies.

I haven’t watched yet - it is recorded - and don’t know if I will.
I thought that she was so pretty before. She is almost unrecognizable now. The new look doesn’t appeal to me as much, but I don’t have to live in her skin, so she gets to do what she feels comfortable with.

I am not a pearl clutcher but um yeah, no. I tried and just can't watch. Doesn't appeal to me and the constant sex talk, etc is over the top.

I'm watching. Kaitlyn and Tayshia really aren't seen too much. It's easy to not pay much attention to them.

I'm watching and I love Katie! The guys are all hot and it is still good even without Chris Harrison I have no problem with all of the sex talk ... I'm super open minded about things like that ...

The "sex positive" phrase was used so much and it drove me crazy. I have never heard it before and have no idea what it means. I don't think I want to know!

I’m watching. I think it’s actually a decent group of guys this season.
I’m glad Chris Harrison is gone. I don’t have strong opinions one way or another about Tayshia and Kaitlyn, but their presence on The Bachelorette makes more sense than Chris Harrison’s. He added so little to the show, other than the fact that he’d been around forever.

I'm watching... something to do in the evening since all the regular shows have gone on break for the summer.

I really want to, but life is in the way I guess. Or more accurately, I've reprioritized. I only got thorugh 1.5 episodes of Claire and ended up deleting the rest of the season. Then deleted all of Matt's episodes before I watched any. I just don't have time for it. I've been a loyal watcher since 2005, but have been hit and miss (more miss) the last couple of seasons. My goal at home right now are to declutter my house and I only have so much time so I'm saying goodbye to the Bachelor franchise for now.
The thing with Chris is interesting, but maybe just to me. I remember when he played much more of a camp counselor role in earlier seasons. I'll miss seeing him.

The "sex positive" phrase was used so much and it drove me crazy. I have never heard it before and have no idea what it means. I don't think I want to know! Sex positive simply means sex can be a positive thing in your life. It is the opposite of the sex negative message so pervasive in society. Sex negative messages like telling daughters to cover up their bodies, being uncomfortable seeing a breastfeeding mother, purity pacts with preteen girls, abstinence only sex education, reproductive only sex education, slut shaming and victim blaming. The idea behind promoting a sex positive attitude is that women can enjoy sex and actively embrace it as part of a healthy life. I think it’s actually a decent group of guys this season. There have been mostly really comfortable and less staged/scripted conversations between Katie and the guys from what I've seen so far. We eyerolled at Karl last night, but loved the way the other guys called him out on his drama poking. Sadly I think he will be around for at least a few episodes. ETA We do NOT miss Chris Harrison at all.

Nothing makes me angrier! And I don't see "rules for dating my son/daughter or rules for dating my kids". So sexist and it's like boys should be able to date and have fun but not girls.

Okay, it's so hot out there is no leaving the house and DH is watching the US Open Golf tournament all weekend so I just watched the first 2 episodes of the Bachelorette. And of course, I got sucked in. There are a few of the guys I really like but I want to throw the remote at the TV when Karl is on. What a total jackass! cajeanne, why don't you turn this thread into a season long thread with spoilers?

Holy Moly! The previews for the rest of the season look terrifying! I really like Katie as the Bachelorette. She has really been strong and gotten rid of people she needed to. Not happy about bringing Blake in 3 weeks into the show. I detest Hunter with every fiber of my being.

Each season there is more and more drama. It's ridiculous. I like Taiysha hosting the show. It's fun to watch the gals support eachother. It's a new twist. I like Katie, but I'm not super fond of the bachelors who are competing for her. I wonder if the show has jumped the shark?

Just watched Monday's episode.
I am not a fan of the fake weddings they often do on the show.
Have you noticed how so many of the guys faces are sweating, especially on the one-on-one dates? It makes them look really uncomfortable.
Watching Katie say good-bye to Connor was hard. Although I totally get it, he was such a nice guy. The other guys reaction to his leaving speaks volumes about what a great guy he was.
Blake was smart to reach out to Katie. BUT, I always wonder if production puts the idea into one of the guys head to do stuff like that. KWIM?
I loved that she didn't give Hunter a rose. He came across as such a prick.

I was so glad Hunter didn't get a rose! He was so smug that he was going to be the chosen one. Yes, Katie's telling Connor she was letting him go was heart wrenching. For the most part, I have liked the way she has handled everything, especially getting rid of guys who were causing drama.
I really like Andrew and wonder if he will be the one.

This week's episode made me sad. I really didn't know much about Mike until their one-on-one and, although I know she had stronger connections with a few other guys, something about him made me sad when she let him go. When he said he would rather have his heart broken a hundred times than break someone's heart (or something like that) I think he was genuine.
It also made me sad when she let Andrew go. I would have picked him over Justin but that's just me.
Hometowns should be interesting.

It seems that all the guys that are left are really good guys and they have a genuine liking of each other. I'm team Greg.

On Taysha's season, or was it Clare's, LOLOL, his performance on a date was a little to real and ick. Wasn't anything I needed to hear from him.

Watched The Men Tell All today. I swear if I was young and unmarried I would hunt Andrew down. He is such a sweetheart and his smile lights up the room.
Regarding Michael leaving. Since hometowns were the next week, why did they all have to stick around the resort? Why couldn't he go home to see his boy and have a hometown. Maybe Covid? I don't think she was going to pick him anyway but I thought it was kind of strange. I liked Michael but asking a little kid *do you miss me* is NOT what to do. Good grief. JMHO of course.
Regarding the girl in the audience who jumps up and asked if she could kiss Connor. I'm smelling production/plant. Anyone else? I did notice over the course of this season that a lot of the kisses were kind of gross looking ~ you know where it looks like they are swallowing half of each other's faces.
The previews for the next two weeks look intense. Of course, has there ever been a season where there wasn't high drama?!
Bachelor in Paradise in a few weeks!!

DD listens to Bachelorette pod cast where they recap every episode. I was only half listening, but they read the casting call for someone willing to jump in and ask Connor for a kiss. There was no guarantee he would accept. Apparently she is a singer/songwriter named Tara Kelly. I just took a look at her IG and she is friends with Kyland on the current BB.
