...a deluge.
I have three job offers. Really, really good ones. Now I have to figure out which one to take. I am waiting on a counter I did yesterday. I think he's probably going to accept (I came down in $$, but up in other demands) and I think that's the one I'll take. But 2.5 months with no job and now all this. I did work VERY hard on looking for a job - hours every day - but in the end, two of my offers were from people who had previously worked with me and the other was the very first job I applied to when I was laid off.
I am a little sad that with all the jobs I am going from 6 weeks annual vacation to 3 weeks. And 13 holidays to 10. And I worked 80% time and now I'm back to 100%. Those are my small sad things. Everything else is fabulous and I am happy to be wanted.
Small Update: Two of the companies have substantially upped their offers to me. I feel like the Queen!

what a great place to be in. Congratulations!
DS is job hunting now and saying the same thing. He went weeks without an interview and now he’s had 3 in the past week. Fingers crossed that he gets something soon!

Congrats, job hunting can be so depressing! (Then suddenly you get offers left and right and hope you made the right choice.) I hope all goes smoothly!

my daughter in law interviewed with multiple companies over and over.. over the last 3-4 months. she finally got an offer (was holding out for the best one) with one of the major media companies as a VP in new york. so my son and dil will move there at the end of the year. an excuse to go to east coast!!
best of luck to all who got jobs and to those still looking!!

It feels good to be wanted doesn't it? Did you make a pros/cons list in order to help you choose?

That's amazing! Good for her! It feels good to be wanted doesn't it? Did you make a pros/cons list in order to help you choose? Well, one job pays a bit more than the other one and I think it is less strain on the brain. The good news is I think I would be happy with either one.

Similar thing with my son. He applied for a job last year and didn’t get it. He got a call from them out of the blue about a month ago, saying that they had a position open and asked him to come in to interview. He found out later that day that he got it. He’s full time for the summer, can pick his hours when he starts classes again in the fall, and it pays more now than it did when he applied last year.

It feels good to be wanted doesn't it? Did you make a pros/cons list in order to help you choose? I just read an article the other day (don’t remember where) that said you really need to figure out what is THE most important factor when deciding between choices, and use that to make your decision. The theory seemed to be that not all "pros" and "cons" are equal, but there is usually one thing that is most important and might be the make-or-break element.

congrats!! i quit my job after 6 months the end of february with no new job. not the smartest thing i have ever done but i couldn't take it. it was stressing me out so much, not good for my health. i also worked *very* hard to find something and finally started monday of this week in my old industry. just like you, it was thru a contact i had worked with before (my old manager). although, i never would have been considered without her since i haven't worked in that industry in 14 years. and then of course, calls and emails start coming in for other stuff i have applied for. *shrug* i hope the one you pick turns out to be an amazing spot for you!!! fingers crossed.
