Good morning. Today it's going to be an infusion followed by one video appt. Dinner will likely be rechauffe. I'll continue knitting, too.
What's on your menu?
Marina how is your precious puppy?
Wishing everyone a calm, healthy day w/some good news and/or reasons to smile.

We went swimming last night at our new sport's club. Don't know if this was unusual but there weren't many people there so it was pretty wonderful. After swimming we sat by ourselves in a 22 person hot tub/spa. I have a feeling the next few days of 100+ weather it will be a lot more crowded. Dinner tonight is pot roast with potatoes, carrots, onions and a green salad.

Good morning, ladies. Sending out the good vibes to Marina puppy and tuesdaysgone kitty. Please update us on how your pets are doing. I'm having the world's slowest morning this morning. (I sound like I am complaining but really I'm not. If any of you read my post last night, you'll know that stress has me moving in slow motion, so, no complaints here.) I've been doing little things here and there and crocheting a bit where I can. I've also revamped my budget spreadsheet. I realized I haven't used it since last summer and I really need to. We've been spending too much and saving too little. So I need to get my facts and figures back in order. Dinner tonight will either be rechauffe scalloped potatoes or Jeremy will talk me into takeout tacos.

I'm swamped right now with marking and report cards ... everything needs to be done by Monday ... then I can breathe! Dinner tonight will be tuna and arugula salad ... my current fav meal!

jeremysgirl, go at whatever pace is best for you right now. You get to choose. How is Esther? cadoodlebug, I have a confession to make. I send some of your meme's to my family chat w/hubby and the boys. Sometimes we get giggles. Sometimes we get eye rolls, but they always enjoy them.

Esther is doing pretty well. In fact, if you all want to send some good vibes she has a job interview at 1 pm today. It seems like low wage jobs are pretty desperate for people so I'm hoping she gets hired ASAP.

I deliberately planned nothing for today, just in case I had vaccine after-effects, but fortunately, I have been fine, just a slightly sore arm. I did go out early to walk, again because the after-effects came on mid-morning last time, so I wanted to be done before then. As a result, I have managed a lot of knitting today, as well as setting up my new Selphy photo printer that I picked up at the mall on the way home yesterday. I printed a few photos of Sophia to test it, and they look great!
Dinner tonight is steak on the grill, with fried potatoes and whatever other vegetable I find in the fridge or freezer. Maybe it will be salad - I think I have what I need for that.

Glad to hear that you're not having post vaccine yuckies, sueg . Keep moving your arm and hopefully that will hasten healing. jeremysgirl , Esther has all of my get-the-job-now vibes. Please let us know how it goes.
leannec, are classes done for the year?

Happy Tuesday my friends!
I've fulfilled my duty of house sitting for my son and DIL. It was nice and relaxing, but borderline boring. I'm used to having things to always keep me busy. I did spend the evening in their little stocktank pool with a glass of wine.
DH is home from the ranch too, so dinner tonight will be shank steaks and roasted veggies, to use up some things I have avoided in the drawer of the fridge.
Wishing everyone great things today!

Good morning everyone. Today's plans include a lot of little errands. Grocery pick up, run to bank, oil change and I think I'll pick up lottery tickets while I'm out. Like jeremysgirl mentioned, I too have been haphazardly spending and need to reign it in or win the lottery. Worth a shot? 😜 The weather is so much better today, cooler and less humidity. Outside or at least Windows wide open is the place to be. DS is off today and I don't think he has any plans to leave today. I'll leave him to fend and play with the Crazies while I'm out. (Kittens) He's ok with that as he loves them so. (Unless they get behind his computer 🤣) They are starting to settle in though and s l o w l y learning the ropes. Kittens learning is a long haul event. So cute. Well I'm ready to head out, have a great day peaps!

Plurker, I love that you call your kittens the Crazies. Kittens are crazy, because they're so stinking cute that they can get away w/it. My crazy adult cats were up most of the night chasing eachother up and down the hallway. How can 2 kitties sound like a herd of cattle? leannec , with only 2 weeks to go I hope that you will plan something really nice for yourself in July.

Good morning everyone! Those Buddha bowls were delicious! Filing but light.
Tonight is taco salads with ground turkey. I got a mixed greens package that also has spinach. Will was that in my spinner. I like to wash my pre washed lettuce. Yeah, I know. Lol
Today it will be 105°. Yay. Not.
Going to decorate for summer and then try and scrapbook.

The 12yo has requested quiche … something I usually only make on weekends, because he has always (until now) hated baked egg dishes. So quiche it is, with bacon, cheese, and spinach, and maybe mushrooms, too.

How can 2 kitties sound like a herd of cattle? leannec , with only 2 weeks to go I hope that you will plan something really nice for yourself in July. Funny. I often say that they sound like a couple of tiny, soft shoed horses. My second favorite thing about them is the "Aww" that I often hear coming out of my DS' mouth. The specific tone and softness of voice reserved for little furry critters and such. 🥰 And yeah, I think I use the collective name, Crazies, more than I do their individual names. Suits them as they are most often together. Creating havoc. 😉 Quiche! lucyg sounds good! May be what's for my dinner, too. But in ramekins as DS will eat it once, one serving, and I don't need left overs that could easily be overlooked and wasted.

I tweaked what Kelsey Nixon did. I had steamed lime herb basmati rice for dh and I and lime herb cauliflower rice for dd. That was on the bottom of the bowl. Then for red I had tomatoes, orange was carrots cut into ribbons, yellow was chickpeas and yellow summer squash, green was English cucumber, and purple was cabbage thinly sliced. I was confused on what to use for blue. Hers had avocado for green, and bell pepper for red. Allergies to those. I had everything prepped on my large cutting board and we fixed our own bowls.

I have no idea who Kelsey Nixon is, but your description gives me a starting point. Rice or similar for base, then selection of veggies, trying for as many different colors as possible - does that sound about right?

Thanks everyone. Poor little guy woke up at 3 am coughing so we gave him some heavy duty medication. His coughing seemed a bit better afterwards. Just bought pet insurance which of course won't cover the kennel cough but this little wild child wants to eat everything in site, my apricot tree leaves which are apparently toxic, my blackberry and cucumber plants, etc. When he napped I was pruning back all my plants especially the tree and tomato plants (also toxic). I'm tempted to put fencing around sections of my yard. I have had two goldens before but I always adopted and the youngest was 18 months. Neither chewed anything or ate any plant matter. leannec He's doing fine sleeping in his crate. It helps him rest and I know he is safe. I love that and the playpen I bought. Best thing ever. After all the problems with getting the playpen and then returning the duplicate ($0 charge) they mistakenly refunded me the money by mistake. So I talked to another 3 people at Amazon to get that cleared up. I got 5 hours sleep over the night so am doing a bit better though still close to nodding off. Tonight I'm making the one pan orecchiette with sausage and lemon. Didn't make it yesterday.

Looks like I'm stuck at home the rest of the week. After long delays, they are finally installing the new gates and fence. It's going to take a few days. Today is installation of the gates. Tomorrow the electrician will come and move the gate opener to the new gate. The new gate is at the front edge of the house, not mid-way up like before. Once that is in & working, the fence crew comes back to remove the old iron fence and gate. They will be installing a wood fence that runs the length of the side of the house. We are trying to minimize the amount of time that we are without a fence due to the dog. So excited to have more space behind the gate and more privacy.
Super hot again today. Dinner will be chicken tenders (most likely done on the griddle), a salad and leftover corn on the cob. DH is not a chicken fan so he is YOYO. Stay cool everyone!
