We are trying to pack up my mom in law's house after her passing March. We are taking some stuff and the rest will be in an estate sale. I am sitting in the dining room cleaning out the sideboard. I am in the room by myself. All of a sudden I am smelling Taboo perfume. It is very distinctive. My grandma KK, my mom's mom, wore it. I only smelled it around her. I have this vision that Dh's mom and her and sitting chatting watching us clean out the house. They would have gotten along great. I am crying but my heart is so happy. I haven't felt (smelled) my grandma in a long time ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👌

I'm glad this is a happy memory for you. I occasionally smell cigarette smoke (neither I nor anyone in my family smokes) and more than likely I'll get a text from my brother or sister near the same time asking if anyone smelled smoke.... yep, thanks for visiting us Dad!

I love when things like this happen. I am a total believer that our lost loved ones visit us. I hope that warm feeling lasts a long time for you.

I'm happy that you had a visit and that it made you feel good.
I get a visit (although it's been a while) from my grandparents. My PawPaw smoked a cigar in my early years and even after he quit he always had an unlit one on him. I know he's nearby when I smell it.
My gran always wore house shoes and they'd slap against her heel as she walked around the house. Every now and again I'll hear that.
I always love their visits but they are always too short.

My college roommate's brother died while we were in school. He used to visit us and mess with a lamp we had. The lamp was awkwardly placed behind the couch making it near impossible to reach as well as 3/4 of the time the damn thing wouldn't turn on once you wrangled yourself back there to turn it on. Martin used to come and turn that light on all the time.

I was working one day and I clearly felt DH's grandma (I was very close to her) place her hand on my shoulder. I just knew it was her. It was so real, I turned around to look for her.

I was driving dhs truck 1 afternoon and had 1 of our grandsons with me... my bil was killed in a car wreck by a drunk driver.. dh keeps 1 of dbils baseball caps hanging on the clothes hook thing.. my grandson was swiping it back n forth.. i told him leave that alone.. thats hiphops cap... and grandson told me no its not.. its his cap... and pointed to the next seat...
I was sorta freaked.. told dbil go away n come back when dh is driving...
Sooo another random.. with the same exact baseball cap... dh went to the cemetery... when he was driving home... all the windows in the truck were rolled up... so there was no wind... but that cap hit dh in the back of the head!!! While he was driving...

OK here’s my sad story but it brings comfort.
Three years ago yesterday I was talking to my cousin online and I commented to her that I smell grandpas shaving cream. We talked about them for a little bit and that was it. As the following day was the day that he passed away in 1996. Went to work the following morning and at 7 o’clock my cousin sends me a message and asked me to call her at her parents house. You know somethings bad at that point. And I immediately called her and she told me that her mom had had a heart attack 30 min ago and was gone. My uncle knew she wasn’t going to make it so he sat and held her.
Today is 3 years since my aunt passed and 25 years that my grandpa has been gone. I like to think that my grandpa was coming to say hi the night before as he was waiting for my aunt to join him.
