Ladies, it is July 1 and 2021 is half over already. How did we get here so fast? I haven't accomplished near what I did in 2020 by this point. I don't put any pressure on myself to create, I just think it's strange how one year I can be so productive and the next year I am significantly slower. I guess the 2020 lockdowns definitely upped my craft game. On the flip side, I started Project Life for my scrapbooks and my 2021 album is all caught up. I'm still going backwards and scrapping 2020 pictures but there aren't near as many because we didn't really go anywhere or have any big celebrations. So I guess part of my crochet lag is that I've been splitting my time between scrapbooking and crochet pretty evenly. Now seems like a good time to tag grammadee for the scrappers to come on over and post their other crafts with us here on NSBR. Today drops the skull blanket. I am so ridiculously excited. I cannot wait to venture over there this morning and buy my pattern. It is unusual for me to have the yarn and be ready to go the moment a pattern drops. But damn, I'm excited about this one. And I have a 3 day weekend because of the holiday so I will step out briefly for a little 4th of July BBQ on Sunday but other than that, my weekend is wide open. I'll be getting started for sure. I'm still working on Whatchamacallit too. And I'm nearly half way through, so that's exciting. I'd like to finish that one by Christmas. I'm giving it to my DD. She expressed how pretty it was when I was working on it next to her hospital bed. So I said she could have it. And I've got my It's Shawl Good Cardigan going too. Always good to have a few different projects to occupy my squirrels-in-the-brain mind. Anyway, welcome to July! I can't wait to see what you create this month.

This is one of those partially finished projects. I got the idea from a magazine. They are just made with a strip of paper glued together and paper disc on top, decorated with quilling and some punched shapes. I love doing paper craft but have lost my mojo so the chocolates were made a while back with a view to completing things with a box to put them in, still waiting to get around to the box though ....

I am still on baby knitting. Another little cardigan on the needles, this time for my niece who is expecting her first later this month. Just need to do the sleeves now, then I’ll make some booties to match as I’ll have enough yarn left. After these are done, I should be able to get back to knitting for myself for a bit.

Wow, jeremysgirl , I am jealous about your scrapbooking. I need to get a move on. So many things I love to do and I can't possibly make time for them all. I definitely have craft ADD! @ktc those are amazing. I have a friend that does origami. She might love to do something like this too. sueg , beautiful as always. And yes, I have no idea how it is July already. Man, it is going by way too fast.

I have never finished a project life album. To be caught up at this point is great. I honestly don’t take many pictures snd the last few years there has just been so little for me to take photos of. I’m really looking forward to seeing your skull blanket that looks like a lot of fun. I think this year is a lot different than last year. Last year more were holed up and not getting out so had more time to create. That and we needed a distraction from what was going on. Many have returned to their offices and returned to a more normal routine - at least here in the states so have less time to create. I know even though not much has changed for me I’m having trouble creating right now.

Another little cardigan on the needles, this time for my niece who is expecting her first later this month. Such a pretty yarn! Not 100% back, the heat isn't helping atm either. It's ridiculously hot outside, but Jeremy keeps the air conditioning so low that I'm freezing inside my house. It's like shock every time I come indoors. I need a sweater in my office. I know even though not much has changed for me I’m having trouble creating right now. Why are you have trouble creating? I've been feeling a bit of a low grade depression so that's been kicking my butt. I'm fighting against it as much as humanly possible, though.

Hello crafters! It's scary that it's July already. I don't feel like I've achieved much at all so far this entire half year. Certainly June was a slower month for me and one I needed to recharge. I think my next project will be the Meow blanket by Rosina Plane I'm just trying to decide what size I want and if I'm going to tweak it a little.

What colors are you thinking of? This one is on my "to eventually make before I die" list too.

I hope the Meow yarn that's coming will do for the cats (it was too good a co-incidence to miss!) and the rest might be cream and caramels. I'm not certain yet. If there is enough Meow over I hope to make a waistcoat or shawl with it.

Hello everyone, July already. Crazy. Loving all the projects here and in the June thread. @ktc I had to look close to work out those were made of paper, beautiful. sueg wonderful work again. I'm four rows and some yarns ends away from finishing my Sophie's Universe. Should be done by the weekend. Looking for some advice, am thinking of crocheting a weighted blanket, there is a pattern on Ravelry that uses Hooked Zpagetti. Anyone ever work with this "yarn"?, it's recycled cotton. Was it okay to work with, it needs a bigger hook than I'm use to but on the plus side would grow quickly.

Just saying 😁😆

sueg , that sweater is precious! What's the yarn gauge? It is knit in fingering weight yarn, size 3.5mm needles (sorry, don't know what that is in American), at a gauge of 24st/4in. I generally use sock yarn to make it, as it is machine washable. The two smallest sizes (3-6 months; 6-12 months) can each be made from a 100g ball, so it is an economical gift to make. The pattern is Sunnyside. It's top-down, all in one piece, so hardly any making up at the end, and it's a freebie! I think I've made 5 or 6 of these now, various sizes, for friends and family.

I have been a good crafter and am finishing some old projects before I get started on new stuff. Today is the day for ironing Luna clothes. I have a velvet coat to steam into shape and worried about flattening it and ruining quite a lot of work. Mini garden allotment nearly ready to go into a display case. Just a tree to finish. I did make a drawstring bag with Dragonfly fabric to keep the shawl that JoP made me from being used as a cat bed.

I finally got into Tapatalk this morning. It still won't log me in. But I got to see some of the pictures that won't appear on my computer. @ktc I cannot believe those chocolates are made from paper. They look amazing. And katybee your junk journal looks so feminine. I just love it.

I don't understand why my Ravelry links don't seem to work. This is the second or third time one has not worked. I'm sorry.
