Hello! My name is Kathy and I used to be on 2Peas off and on, but left because of a few very hurtful ladies there. I have been checking things out here and I have to say it seems much more friendlier, kind and helpful. I got my first scrapbook on my 5th birthday. It was a way for me to be close to my dad, he was a professional golfer and gone...a lot. Then in my senior year of high school, I was the choir historian and mad the scrapbook and class decorations. I cringe when I think of that scrapbook with nothing but star and Hallmark cute animal stickers. Rejoined the hobby in 1997 awaiting the birth of my first child, 24 years ago! I have him and a 20 year old daughter, both going to college together.
I love to scrapbook, but I haven't very much since I had knee surgery in April. I just can't get comfortable at my desk. I also love to read and I am lucky enough to work in a used bookstore! I hope to be able to have fun along with all of you and hope to get to scrapbooking again soon!

Hello and welcome. I hope your knee improves and you'll be more comfortable scrapbooking again soon.
Take a look around the challenge forum - there's a monthly team 'competition' (no prizes, no pressure - just fun and bragging rights) - July's is already underway but we would love to have you jump in for August

durangirl welcome back! It was a mean place at many times, the old 2Peas. This one is so much better. Every now and then someone does a hair flip, but it's a pretty supportive group as a whole. Hope you stay back! p.s. I have twin 24yos and a 20yo, too!

Welcome back durangirl. Hope you stay and chat and play! I did not join here until my other home on the internet closed, but have found these crafty ladies fun and supportive and inspiring. I have had knee problems for years, and my shoulders/back aren't alot of help, so I scrap standing up at a scrap counter built by a kitchen cabinet place. |
