We will both point out if the other is speeding or if we think the driver hasn't noticed something like a speed limit change or upcoming stop sign. I don't really consider it a critique so much as a reminder that keeps us both safe.
DH has a tendency to follow too closely and I will mention that when he does it, that might be more of a critique. But again, I mention it for safety reasons. If it was something like staying in a slower lane, or choosing a different route or some other non safety issue, I let him make his own decisions.
