To some “get tough” could mean get violent.
And one should never use the word “SMART” when referring to former’s supporters.
Next time you see former’s supporters walking with their arms outstretched and tears running down their cheeks you’ll know why.

Sometimes I worry I post too much but I always hope some one sees the light. Even if only one person does, it is a step in the right direction.
But it also gives anyone who cares, words to share if they need or want too. Or something quoted might be just the right answer to something they need to combat things other people say. Like a good response to a verbal attack...

Vote and participate in democracy and commiserate with others and realize we are lucky that the malignant pus of hatred is coalescing into a giant carbucle. yes, it is very gross, disturbing and painful but perhaps it needs to form so that the healthier parts of society can be saved. That pus has always been and probably will be part of humanity...some people are starting to realize that it is not what they want. And some are doubling down.

I'm not very political, but we ignored him 4 years ago thinking he would go away...and look what happened. I think we have to pay attention and take him seriously.
My hope is that his house of cards, built on a bunch of loans that will soon be called in as he faces trial, will fall. My fear is he will renew his needed financing by selling state secrets to our enemies overseas.

Your comment is from someone who is “sticking their head in the sand”. You should be scared shitless about what is happening in this country and it centers around this man. What was the thread a couple of days ago about this group of armed men who claim they don’t acknowledge the laws of this county? You can trace that back to trump. And there is this… And this… Again you can trace this back to trump. I don’t know, maybe you think that it’s ok. That it is acceptable that people are denied the right to vote, or that election workers are threatened for doing their job. Or that groups of armed men are declaring they don’t acknowledge the laws of this country. That there are camps were they train. Train to do what exactly? You have one of the two main political parties that is more interested in getting & keeping power instead of governing. They managed to stack the Supreme Court with right wing individuals who are systematically taking away your rights. I guess you think that’s ok as well. Am I aware that there are those that wish these threads didn’t exist? Yes. But I think it’s important to point this stuff out because I’am scared with what is happening and I don’t think people care enough to stop it. So I keep pointing out what is happening. If that makes me an extremist so be it. But at least I’m not ignoring what is going on and acting like Scarlet O’Hara and will think about it tomorrow. Because tomorrow might be too late. |

In no way did I say ignore the homegrown terrorists. They need to be monitored, exposed and watched. There is nothing new that that orange psycho has to say. By giving him a platform and constantly repeating and broadcasting his stupidity he is getting exactly what he wants. He wants attention and to ignore him is a fate worse than death. |

I care deeply about what I see happening in the gutting of voting rights in so many states. What I haven't figured out is an action plan. Besides talking about it, I'm eager for any and all tips for orgs to support and volunteer work to do to try to save the democracy, which was imperfect at best but which is far better than where we're heading!

This is another legacy from trump based on the lie that the election was stolen that I guess we are suppose to ignore…
Republican legislators have for years have been passing bills that make it harder for certain groups of people to vote. But in many cases folks still managed to vote.
Now thanks to trump and his calling certain elected officials asking that they “find” enough votes to give him win in that state only to be stopped by election officials who are doing their job, legislators are stripping them of the authority to certify elections and giving it to themselves.
