Right? I’m lucky at my current school because we’re not far from the bakery, and the PTO often brings their goodies for us on special occasions. Oh and Common Bond croissants. Have you had them? You have a good PTO! Not sure my willpower could withstand working so close! As for Common Bond, oh yes! We are very familiar with their croissants. DD absolutely loves their Lavender Lattes too. They've got a drive through branch not far from here and sometimes the car just goes through that line on its own! My guilty pleasure is the cinnamon roll at Relish or those darn chocolate chip cookies from Tiny Boxwoods.

Soooo tempting after a long day but I know I’d be in line with my students. I haven’t had the cinnamon roll at Relish. I’m a huge fan of cinnamon rolls, though - might have to try that out this summer.

I'm just glad my office moved out of Greenway, so Im no longer drawn there by their tractor beam!

Let’s just say I’d be reaping great rewards if they offered a reward program! I sit right between the 2 newest ones. DH swears by their sausage biscuits for breakfast.

When I lived in Taiwan, there was a bakery that sold this stuffed bread. It was a loaf of darkish rye, and stuffed with a type of bacon and chunks of a mild white cheese. It was the greatest thing I ever ate- I would just buy a half loaf and it would be my meals for the day. I don't even eat meat, but I longingly salivate over the thought of this bread. I have never been able to recreate it, nor have I seen anything like it.
If I knew for certain that the bakery was still there, I might consider a 22 hour flight to get some!

Dh, sil and sons loved the Queen Amon pastry that was at a wonderful bakery here. Unfortunately, the couple who owned it divorced. One of them moved back to France and the other moved out of state.
My ods worked at another bakery during high school and his first couple years of college. The owners ask him back every time he's home on a break, but he'll be teaching now and can't do it anymore. That's probably for the best. When your kid works at a bakery everyone's waistline is in danger.

A local bakery makes the best petit fours ever. It’s the only birthday cake I want. That’s not really a local specialty, but they’re delicious. We also have panaderias that make perfect pan dulce. Perfect with a hot cup of coffee. Which bakery has the petit fours? My daughter in law’s favorite…

We have a local bakery that makes the best thumbprint cookies ever-just enough mint to be tart and oh so pretty. Another wedding cake/specialty baker makes the best ever Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge cake. Most popular grooms' cake in the area, may try to duplicate it and non succeed. You can special order the cakes and we do

Both are chain places.
Nothing Bundt Cake. Lemon bundlet is my favorite.
I was recently gifted a gift card to Crumbl Cookie. My expectations were low, because I figured the long pink box/packaging was a gimmick and novelty. The cookies are high in price >> $11-ish for four cookies, $25-ish for a dozen. I was expecting an average cookie. I was pleasantly surprised, the cookies were excellant!
I will be adding Crumbl to my list of >> occasional splurge on a fancy treat.
They always have chocolate chip and sugar cookies as a part of their selection. Then they have four other cookies and those flavors are changed weekly.

I have had an addiction to canneles, a French cupcake looking pastry. My bakery knows I am always going to buy at least 6. They also make gateau breton, a heavier cake dusted with powdered sugar. I just ate a piece prior to getting on this thread.
They used to make these huge coconut macaroons. Those were fabulous but that baker left.
My daughter in law has started baking for this bakery and I'm going to try to get her to try them.

We have tried a few local bakeries but mostly unimpressed. We tried many kinds of cake from a local place people swear by snd honestly my cakes are much better and so are the ones from Albertsons. They were dry. That said our Albertsons has really good cakes. Their chocolate diner cake is my current favorite cake. Fancy drizzled chocolate and the best frosting.
We have a local ice cream shop and none of us liked it. The ice creams were to crystallized snd icy.
There is a gelato place that has chimney cakes that I have wanted to try for years. It’s not a convenient location and the one time we tried they were closed due to an electrical problem.
Oh we have another bakery in old town that is to help special needs learn a skill. Only been there twice but their macaroons were good a bit misshaped but good. I need to get back over there. There just isn’t much parking near it as it’s in an odd location.

There was a bakery in the town we used to live. We loved it. On the way home from chemo, DH would want to stop if we could make it before they closed. They have these bowtie cookies filled with raspberry. So delicious. They have lemon ones too but I don't like those as much. DH used to love them w/ a cup of coffee and I enjoyed them with a cup of tea. Now that I think of it, I haven't been to the bakery since he passed.

My favorite local bakery is a Mennonite bakery one town over. She's open only three days a week. And if I'm indulging in a local specialty then I pick up their caramel cake. So delicious.

I love Italian cookies: rainbow cookies, spritz, jam sandwich. We have two excellent Italian bakeries and I swear, if someone bought me 5 pounds of them, I could eat them in one sitting. All of them.
