It's that time of year again...where I am blown away by a community of awesome people supporting each other! My students are always so impressed with the back to school table I set up with all of the donations. The next thing they ask is 'when can we start using it!'. I teach middle school - about 300 students a year. Some stay in the class the entire year (they have cooking competitions and use a sewing machine), some are with me for a semester, and 6th graders are with me for a quarter. All students cook, sew, learn financial skills, and lots of other life skills. I added food photography last year and it was a hit. I have had such a demand for my class, my principal just asked if I would give up my prep period to teach another class (I would get paid). This means even more students will learn more like skills! I am just over the moon excited!!!! Here is my Amazon list for this year. I am always open to suggestions for my class! Culinary, Design, and Education wishlistI have an Instagram for my class if you want to see the things we do... CDE_Careers InstagramThank you from the bottom of my heart!

I have a huge list! Most of my stuff is pretty pricey because itās for a grant but Iāll share it here too. Last year so many peas helped me out with games for my Brain Gym class. I FINALLY get to run the class this year and Iām soooooo excited! Thank you peas for all the love and support for teachers! www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/7A1N4YEYPA9H?ref_=wl_shareI just looked at your list. Do you find the papermate pencils to be better than the Bic medium lead ones? I like both. Iām not picky. Currently I have a bic, a paper mate, a generic Office Depot in my bag. I use them all. I do prefer .9 over .7 tho.

I love this thread each year. With my kids grown and out of the house I miss buying school supplies (I would buy extras for the classroom) so I like having the opportunity to support teachers in another way.

I was doing some shopping and noticed someone had hole punches on their shopping list, I donāt recall who it was, but it was someone who had the sequins pillows too. I just wanted to say I had the hole punchers you have in my pre-K classroom and they were horrid. I bought other ones before the pandemic after an OT used them with one of my students and they are soooo much better. Not judging, or trying to yuck your yum, but if you havenāt personally experienced the hole punchers you have on your list you might want to look at these as an alternative. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07589YSJ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1They are really great and still work the kids fine motor skills.

I honestly was nervous to post my list but I noticed last year that it was welcomed when other homeschool peas did it so I thought I'd try it out. I just looked at my list and saw that several things have been purchased. Thank you SO much. Books are Matthew's absolute favorite thing in the world and he loves to re-read them over and over again. He is the epitome of the homeschool kid addicted to books and the library. He's going to be so excited. And I think Nathaniel will have fun sorting bears too!

I had never heard of it before but from the description, I think he will LOVE it.

In the years past I have received so many special items. This year my wish list does not have much on it. Please do not feel like you have to gift me anything this year. www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/15PP2K5XUCOXZ?ref_=wl_shareI can attest to how excited the kids get to use things from their āfriends.ā I told them my friends liked to be called āThe Peas.ā From that point on you were the āVeggiesā in our room. š Thank you for always being there for us! Your list only has 3 things left, none of which show as directly purchasable anymore

I teachers!! I worked as an aide for part of two school years and NO ONE works harder than teachers! Also, my DD was a 1st grade teacher, but is staying home this year to be a SAHM. I have made a small purchase for each of you. Thank you for all you do!! Exception** @missjen, It doesn't show a registry address for you, and I'd love to send something. Can it be updated?? Thanks! I always have a book list going! I enjoy telling students it was sent by a "friend" of mine. I'm looping with my first graders to second grade so I need to add a bunch of new reads! Thanks for considering! Book ListYou have a nice selection of books on your list! Thank you both! And anyone else I may have missed! I am hopeful we will be given additional monies for classroom supplies, but as of now, I have not heard of that happening (both in my district and all the districts my other teacher friends teach in). I have noticed that some of the funding is going to additional cleaning staff (which is needed-typically not every classroom is cleaned everyday because there isn't time) and reduction of class sizes. My supply list is due by May 1st and it was the same allotment that it usually is. I tend to drop a book from my wishlist in most of my personal Amazon orders, but I GREATLY appreciate the support from all of you. Teaching is such a unique profession with the supplying of what is considered "extras" being the responsibility of the teacher. While I'm provided with the curriculum, most of the things students will remember are not from the curriculum. That said, I still love my job 23 years later-I mean there are a few parts I would love to see go . Bottom line...THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Question: when I send (or receive) a thank you on Amazon, how the heck do I retrieve or see it? On the ones I send, I know I can click on the order and see what I wrote but how do I view a thank you that was sent for that item, assuming someone sent one? I have looked and searched around Amazon and can't seem to find that spot. GRRRR..... (this isn't related to this particular thread but to a group on facebook- just thought people here might know). . Carry on!

You all always amaze me with your generosity! Last year was so hardāteaching a new grade in the middle of a pandemic, virtually and in-person at the same time! I was exhausted and I was scared. And then I made the mistake of reading the horrible comments on social media about teachers. Iām not going to lieāI didnāt know if I wanted to do this anymore. But I miss teaching and I miss the kids! I find myself with a renewed energyāand HOPE. I am excited to get back in MY classroom (I havenāt been in it in a year and a half)! Iām even excited to go to a week-long (mandatory but unpaid) training next week. Here is my list. Itās super long, because I put things on there so I donāt forget about them. I certainly donāt expect yāall to clear it! Thank-you for thinking about us and the kids! www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/21L4GDR6CV8FX?ref_=wl_share

The generosity of our community continues to amaze me. I teach theatre in a school with high poverty and low parent involvement. My kids are always suprised that "my friends" are so invested in the education of people they don't know that they send such generous gifts to our classroom. Peas have made so much possible for my students. My class is project based and virtually every project we do has some component that was donated by a pea over the years. I'm working on a grant application to build our makeup and costume design areas so that is much of my wishlist this year. Here is my wishlist: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1PF3MOUN7BQB3?ref_=wl_shareThank you!
