I have had such anxiety about it because well, I have anxiety about everything. Just had concerns that it’s so new. I kept planning every day to go the last week and a half and would change my mind. But today I fought through it and did it and so did my adult daughter.
I am trusting the Drs and scientists. I feel a lot of relief tonight.

Good for you!! You should be proud of yourself.
My dh and I got our second shot about 6 weeks ago. After the first shot we were a bit tired. After the second one we were super tired for about 24 hours but still managed to go to work and carry on almost normally. After that we were completely fine and much relieved. I hope you have no side effects but if you do, try NOT to stress and just know they are normal and somewhat expected.

Good for you. I'm hoping there will be more people like you and your daughter who will also get vaccinated. Right now Covid infections are way down in my area. I hope people are paying attention to what is going on in other areas. If they get immunized now they will be fully immunized by the time we return to school, everyone is inside more, and the new variant starts to be a menace. We can help control how bad this next wave will be. You made a great choice! Thank you!

Our cases are up here and school starts this week for our district and some surrounding. There were four teenagers there getting it, too.
Edited to add - I don’t work in school system, my comment sort of sounds that way. I’m just saying what is going on in my area.

Thank you for fighting through your anxiety. Different situation, but a friend of mine has so much anxiety about needles, she had to go to the hospital to be sedated to get her vaccine. I know anxiety about different things can be a real obstacle to getting the vaccine, kudos to you for fighting through it. I hope you don’t have any side effects. Nothing scientific, purely anecdotes from friends and family, those with Pfizer did fairly well in terms of no or only minimal side effects.

Seriously, good for you, and thank you! I have health anxiety/phobias and I get it, they can be pretty paralyzing. Well done, and let us know if you need virtual help getting to your appointment for your second dose.

Good job. I have anxiety too, especially about putting things in my body that are new, such as shots or food. I had to get a TB test, which causes me anxiety but I need it for my job, a sweet, older nurse asked if I had my Covid shot and I said no. Her response was “why” and it just pushed me over the edge to get it. I had the J and J because I didn’t think I’d be able to go back. No side effects. Take care of you!!

Good for you and your daughter. You should be proud of yourself for getting through your anxiety. You won't regret it. Please make sure that you have your second jab too so that you are both as fully protected as you can be. Well done.

Excellent! Good job pushing through that anxiety! You're one of the smart ones....keep reminding yourself that you're doing it to protect the children, the elderly (who don't always get full immunity from vaccines), and the immunocompromised. -- Also, remember that this type of vaccine -- mRNA -- is not new and neither are coronaviruses. So you aren't really receiving new "technology". Good job!

Congrats!!! Make sure you both stay hydrated, especially after the second shot. It really helps with the symptoms. Totally agree. Start 2 days before - tons of water and Gatorade and then keep it going for 2 days after.
