Ugh. In my house it is scissors, teaspoons, forks and phone chargers/cords. And of course everyone denies it's them who has taken the items.
I had three pairs of scissors that have all gone missing in the space of a week of so. I ordered a three pack of scissors from Amazon the other day which just arrived. I have put one pair in the kitchen drawer, one pair in the office drawer, and I've hidden the third pair. So if the other two go missing, at least I will still have a pair to use.
Somehow all but four teaspoons have gone missing, and several forks as well. Last night DSO went up to K-Mart and bought a ton of spoons and forks. So many that I can't even fit them all in the cutlery drawer. that should last us, oh, about a year maybe!
And phone chargers. OMG. The kids are forever losing or breaking their chargers. I keep mine plugged in so they don't go missing. But someone is always "borrowing" my cords then assuring me that they returned it. I got a new phone in December, plus my work phone, and both cords have gone AWOL. I just ordered a three pack of PINK cords so I will easily be able to tell if someone has borrowed one. And I made sure to buy the USB-C because I'm the only one with a block that takes that kind of cord.
What goes missing in your house? And do you have hiding spots for those things?

I just thought of another thing - sticky tape! I only really use it to wrap Christmas or birthday presents, and no matter how many rolls I buy, they always go missing. I have hidden a roll in the top cupboard where it cannot be seen easily.

Not a regular basis, but a DVD of a computer game has disappeared from where I THOUGHT I had placed it. Now that we have a new desktop computer I can't find it and really really want to load it on the new computer.

Not so much anymore unless I'm the one who misplaces it or doesn't put it back where it belongs.
Just me and DS in house and there's not much I have that he wants. Lol
Wait!
I take it back. As of late, last month or so, my pens and such little stuff left out on low coffee table after use have been found randomly on floor. Hmmm... **cough** kitty cats. **cough** But then again I revert back to me not putting things away.

Add tweezers and dental floss to the list. Except the culprit is always DH. One of the kids was looking for floss and said there was none in any of the bathroom drawers. I told him to check DH's toiletry bag in his gym bag. DH denied he had more than one pack and DS theatrically pulled out 12. DH also brings home stray mugs and cutlery. Maybe we have some of your teaspoons and forks.

Apple TV remotes. My DH always swears he has nothing to do with them going missing. (I don’t watch TV). And for ages he was convinced, absolutely, positively convinced that my mom was accidentally taking them home with her when she came to visit. So I ordered another one. Happened again. We now have 3 in hand. Funny enough, none of them were at mom’s

Ah yes, PLurker you just reminded me about the pens that go missing. Every few months I buy a pack of 12 pens, nothing fancy, from the supermarket. One by one they disappear. And hair ties. But I think I am the culprit when it comes to hair ties. Although....... I did find the dog playing with one the other day. Hmmmmmm.

We only keep 2 types of regular pens in the house. DH always manages to take his faves to work and lose them, but my purple pens are safe from that fate! I actually have to buy more every now and again because…(i]I use them all up[/i]. Weird It used to be his keys, wallet, sunglasses…you get the drill. But now he is really great at coming home and throwing them in his drawer. Literally throwing them, if it’s too neat he’s less likely to do it. So a drawer I don’t have to look at, it is! I used to find his stuff in the damndest places, he fridge and freezer were pretty memorable! The sunglasses remind me, now that he wears reading glasses (hot!) they end up mysteriously walking themselves to other rooms so we have them in almost every single room in the house, and 3 in the open floor plan main living area. Plus extras. Stored where? His drawer. I really do love that man, but dang does he make me wanna start drinking again with some of his shenanigans eta: My hair things. They don’t go missing per se, they fall off in the middle of the night and end up behind the bed with their people.

Right now we can't find dog brushes. We have two Furminators and can't find either of them. Our dogs need to be brushed really bad!

Scissors (which is why we have a million pairs), nail clippers, and the dustpan. I frequently have to replace forks. Ridiculously frequently. I have no idea where they go and just buy more but at the moment all but one butter knife is missing, since no one eats in their room with a butter knife, where are they??? The stupid tiny black Amazon Firestick remote. Why it so small, and why is it black? I told DH to zip tie it to a board but he'd rather yell at the kids for losing it on a daily basis... I also buy a pack of pens every time I'm at Target. Can't find a pen? Open a new pack from my secret hidey spot

Dh's glasses, his keys, his wallet, his charging cable, his phone, his shoes, .... bet you can't tell which of us has a designated place for everything they own and which of us drops stuff randomly throughout the house...
It used to also be scissors but some years ago scissors were marked down to $1/pair at Walmart and I bought a LOT - one for each of the three kids' desks, one for the kitchen, one for DH's desk, one for my desk and one for my scrapbook desk and two for the wrapping paper. I tied ribbons to the kids' so it was obvious whose was whose. Really haven't had a scissor problem since.

Ahh I was just ranting over the scissors the other day. How can I have three pairs in a drawer plus kitchen shears, and not a single pair be there when I need them? And I *know* I haven’t used them!

I had to make sure I had the firetv remote app installed on my phone, it goes *missing* that often.

Anything my Hubby has had his hands on can suddenly become mi$sing. If it's not in his hands he has no idea where it is. He files things away successfully, thank goodness, it's things he's working on that he puts down in random places.

Always charging cables. I live with husband and teenage son so I always buy pink ones just for me. And anyone who unplugs the one in the kitchen better take cover when I find them.
Oh, and cookies. I buy a couple of packets every time I shop and they disappear almost immediately;)

I am always, always seeing random hair ties on the ground in parking lots. Pretty much everywhere I go, when I get out of my car and look down, there is always a hair tie of some sort laying on the ground. I bet I’ve seen hundreds of them there over the years! The things that go missing at my house are the nail clippers and DH’s little pocket flashlight. I’m always finding that thing down in between the cushions of his chair. I end up finding all of the nail clippers in DD’s bathroom.

Similar to yours- silverware, Tupperware, scissors, charging blocks and cords, nice reusable water bottles….
One daughter take everyone else’s shit all the time- her sisters clothes, swimsuits, makeup, hair straightener, and on and on and on….
Last week I couldn’t find the freaking olive oil. It had gotten used to remove excess wax after an eyebrow waxing session and got left in a bedroom 🤮

Paracetamol and ibuprofen. I buy a couple of packs every time I go to Tesco, and stick them in a kitchen drawer. Whenever I need a couple, all that’s in the drawer is empty cardboard packaging. Elastic bands. Sellotape. Clean white pillow cases. But strangely never Lego bricks. They are always everywhere…

Oh, and envelopes. Not the ones I use in cardmaking, just ordinary white business envelopes. I never have one when I need one, even though I buy them in packs of 25/50.

Lol. Scissors, tape, and teaspoons were the worst when both of my kids were younger. I remember over the years every once in awhile I'd offer .50 cents per spoon to the kids. They'd turn them up from somewhere -- family room, their bedrooms... -- and make some money. I also went to Goodwill one year and bought a bunch of random spoons. lol Scissors -- one year I bought the Costco mega-pack of scissors because I was so fed up. Still they would migrate into bedrooms. But I solved that the same way you did, I hid a pair for myself. Plus I keep my kitchen scissors with a HUGE label on them with bright red masking tape -- "KITCHEN SCISSORS STAY IN THE KITCHEN!!". lol. When my kids were younger and still receiving an allowance I told them that if my kitchen scissors went missing and I hunted and found them in someone's bedroom that someone would get fined from their next allowance. That seemed to solve that particular problem, of the kitchen scissor anyway. Tape, same thing. The Costco mega-pack plus one hidden for me alone. If someone asked me "Mooooom, there's no tape!" I'd just roll my eyes and tell them to search the house. No one had any devices when mine were younger so charging cords weren't an issue. When they got to be teens ds was always a PC guy so his cords were all different from dd's and mine since we're Apple people. And now that she's older dd keeps track of her own cords and chargers. Pencils were another thing that sometimes were in short supply. I used to buy a large box of them from Staples, sharpen all of them, and put them in one drawer. And of course hide some for me. ETA: I forgot about my small paring knives. I had a set of three that I bought at the Corningware store in Rehoboth Beach a few years ago. I loved those knives. Notice my past tense, "loved". One by one they've disappeared, and I doubt dd has taken those to her room. I never really used them for cutting any type of food, but they were SO GOOD for opening all the awful packages that no one can open with just their fingers. hahaha But the last one disappeared a few weeks ago. Honestly, I can't imagine how. I might say they'd been thrown away from someone's plate except that no one uses them for cutting food, they take a bigger knife. And in fact now that I'm typing this I'm going to hit "post" and then go to Amazon and see if I can buy some more.

Teaspoons. I bought a new set of silverware late last year and we are already down 3 teaspoons.
The broom in the garage. I know where the broom flies off to, DH's building. It just can't seem to return.

Like everyone else, it was scissors and tape until the kids moved out. I always say the best part of being an empty nester is the scissors and tape are always in the drawer.
DS would take and lose all the screwdrivers, so I bought a really nice set and for at least a decade they lived under our bed! DH, DD, and I knew it, but not DS.
