I just that remembered "Auntie Mame" by Patrick Dennis is an excellent humourous read. Now I feel the need to reread it. And malibou , if Great Big Sea should ever reunite (they broke up a few years before the pandemic), do your best to see a show. They are indeed great live! Is that the book that the movie was based on? Yes!

Sophia Kinsella is awesome. Her Shopaholic books are laugh out loud funny. I love all her books. Her book Finding Audrey is a YA ( her first YA) that has some meet to it but is still very funny at times.

Sh*t My Dad Says is a laugh out loud book by Justin Halpern. I read it on a long plane ride and could not stop guffawing. My son, who really hated to read, read it on the plane ride home.
There was a sitcom based on it a few years ago. The author basically reminisces on all of the good and bad things his dad told him as he aged. The sex stuff was priceless.

Do you like Bill Bryson? His travel books are very funny, but also lots of history and other educational elements. I love his books. His travel books are hysterical. I also love the Wodehouse Jeeves and Wooster books. But they are not everyone’s cup of tea. The Wodehouse Jeeves and Wooster books are a ton of fun.

Janet Elizabeth Henderson has several series based in fictional Invertary, Scotland. The characters are hilarious.

I tend to like humorous biography type reading.
I like anything by Carrie Fisher or Mindy Kaling.
