Just once at Trader Joe’s last spring. They had a limit on how many in the store at one time.

I only waited once during 2020, but I know several stores in out Outlet mall area, as well as B&BW had lines, and some still do.

A couple of times during Covid but not prior to that time. I don't do in person Black Friday shopping, that's the only other time I can think of where I have heard of lines to get into stores. Personally, if I see a line to get into a store anymore I don't wait I will just go shop somewhere else.

Bath and Bodywork sale pre covid, music store for a CD special disc launch, comic book store that was small, jewelry store that only allowed so many in at a time, best buy for black Friday, wind up store at City Walk in LA, and others for Christmas sales.
Then of course during Covid.

Pre- Covid, yes, for about 3 hours.
Right after Harvey everything was closed. About 2 weeks later, grocery stores started getting shipments in again. Off we went armed with small grocery lists for my elderly neighbors and we stood in line. They limited everything and I left my hubby, explained to the line and asked if I could go pick up some ladies, most said yes, others were booed down. So there we all went back. All to the end, it was probably a 5 hour grocery store run.

Single line to get into Home Depot wound all around the parking lot. We had to wait to go into Bath and Body Works because only 10 people were allowed in at one time. This only happened during Covid as things were opening up.

The only store I had to wait outside of was Trader Joes, and it was only 5 minutes or so. The had a system where they only had enough carts available for the store capacity, so each person going in was given a cart, and it was one person per cart. Then as people came out their cart was sanitized and given to the next person in line. It worked very smoothly. that's my only one also - and we're not close to TJs so I think tomorrow might be the 3rd time we'll be in one since 2019

I need other errands in the area before I will make the trip.

I can only think of a couple times pre-Covid, once on Black Friday when I went shopping really early with my sister (never again) and once at Fleet Farm the Thursday before hunting opener because they were giving away free hats and DH wanted us all to have them for Thanksgiving. We knew we were going to be spending Thanksgiving with a friend of his who worked there, and the store policy was that the none of the employees could get any of the free stuff they gave to customers. So we went to get the hats as a joke and then we went home, LOL.
But since Covid never, because I really limited where I went and I would go places when they would be less crowded. It always surprised me to see so many cars in the parking lots at places like the grocery store or Home Depot.

I chose saw a line and left, but I do have two exceptions to that. Once, on Black Friday, I waited a few minutes on line at Kohl's until the store opened. The line wasn't crazy and the wait was less than 10 minutes, so it was worth it to me. Last summer, I waited outside Walmart behind 3 other families for a couple of minutes.
I've seen many stores with lines during the pandemic and chose not to go in. My thoughts were that there wasn't anything I needed so badly that I had to be stuck in line with so many people to get into a store that had more people in it.
Since Jan 2020, I've been doing much more curbside pick-up and delivery than in store shopping. I do go into Aldi and Dollar Tree- neither of those stores near me are crowded at the times I go. I have also spent a bunch of time in the outdoor nurseries in the area. The rest of my shopping has changed from browsing in stores I like (Michael's, Kohl's, Target, Walmart) to using curbside pick-up or just avoiding the store. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been in each in the last 18 months.

Prior to Covid, never.
At the beginning of the lockdown, I waited a few times at HEB, Sam’s and Walmart. I am not really into waiting so after that I switched to curbside and I am still using it today most of the time.

I’ll gladly wait in line for their to be less people inside. Absolutely this! I was honestly a little bummed when the County increased capacity rules and Trader Joe's stopped lining up outside. Lining up was the normal here for at least a year. Just yesterday DD and I waited in line for the Nike store (only because she was looking for something very specific) and we walked past lines for Zara, a boba place and couple tiny take out spots.

When there were capacity limits last year, I'd wait in line at Costco. But even with a pretty long line, I never waited more than 10 minutes tops. It moved really fast.
My grocery store had lines for a couple weeks, but again, it moved very quickly.
Other than that, I don't wait if there's a line for something. Except for TSA when I have to.

Pre Covid not so much unless it was an annual sale. During the first wave of Covid most stores limited the amount of people going into the store. Most have stopped now although our local pharmacy still only has one person in at a time as it's quite small and social distance wouldn't be possible otherwise. They've continued with it although restrictions were officially lifted last week.

Estate sales. Sample sales.
2020-21: There were plenty of lines around here. In the cold and then the heat and then the cold again.

Never pre-pandemic.
As soon as the shit started hitting the fan, lines everywhere. I waited 45 minutes to an hour for Costco, Trader Joe's, Vons, every time.
No more lines, everyone masking (though this is LA County where masks are required again inside, even for vaccinated people).

ooh, estate sales, too...forgot about that one. I usually don't get up early enough to get to them before they actually open, but a couple times I *have* gotten there early enough to wait in line.

Only once, pre-COVID, Apple store. I stupid scheduled a battery replacement (covered by Apple) on release day. Didn't realize it was release day when I scheduled.

I only had to wait once for maybe 5 minutes and that was for walmart.
Luckily, I had listened to the peas and bought some staples to help until we could get a delivery. Which was about 2 weeks out at that point.

You live in Texas, right? That’s why you didn’t have to wait in line 🤣 I also live in Texas. During the early days of COVID I stood in line for almost an hour to buy a gallon of milk and a dozen eggs. Spring of 2020 I stood in line outside Home Depot just to get inside the store to shop.
