Mine seems so boring compared to that one, but this is the yarn I had and wanted to get rid of. I really need to finish off the ends... Shoot. It took me 3-4 mins to shoot a quick photo and more than half an hour trying to downsize it enough to be uploaded here only to have this site tell me it's already full. I used to have Photobucket once upon a time. Now, I don't know how to post a photo without putting it on FB first and then opening it up to the public. Feelin' old and out of touch here. I use the Tapatalk app to post pictures. It makes it super easy. Did it work? Did I do it? Fingers crossed.

I love that one too. JoP sent it to me earlier this week and I did download it. It's in my future plans. Maybe camping trip worthy. But seriously I do like the wrap style. I have a lot of triangle shawls but no wraps. So this might be on my to make list sooner rather than later.

jeremysgirl - I am super impressed with how many ways they photographed her wearing this! Definitely looks like an easy project to be on the go with. If you haven't checked out their YouTube channel yet, it's worth it just to watch this beautiful woman model everything. The tutorials look very good also.

It's definitely a very versatile wrap. I love the colors they've chosen for it too. So subtle the color changes are. leftturnonly

She’s just adorable isn’t she? Yes, she is! And she looks very happy, strong and capable in the photos and videos WHILE giving good tutorials. Just a little bit of fresh air during these difficult days. Not to mention how lovely every single thing I've seen from them has been.

I kind of like one of the colorways but it looks like it might be a pain to work with? I have been curious about the c2c I just haven’t looked at the pattern until you posted and then watched the video as well. I like the extra texture of the chevrons in this. I’m pretty much a beginner doing crochet but this looks straight forward thanks to the video. Really tempted to try this.

I’m pretty much a beginner doing crochet but this looks straight forward thanks to the video. Really tempted to try this. Not on this one. I found this pattern because of the yarn, though. I got Red Heart It's A Wrap Rainbow yarn on clearance at Michaels, wanted to know what I could do with it and found this at Moogly. It's thin, 1-2 weight, and I think 4 loose ply. This colorway is Whisper and the store didn't have any. I did use a different color I got on a different shawl, though, and love it! I just took a photo of it and I'll post it in a sec. This shawl used another Michaels clearance yarn for this, Loops & Threads Woolike Simili-Laine in color tan. The photo looks more like chocolate for some reason. We held it in front of a window so the light shining through would show off the pattern, which is really subtle and hard to see otherwise. This yarn says it's a 1 super-fine, 85% acrylic, 15% nylon. The price was right to try something new, and it worked up very nicely. It's just... tan. I did pick up other colors at the time, so that will be nice to work with, someday.

Timeless Crochet Shawl, pattern found at Hobbii and I used Red Heart It's a Wrap Rainbow in Seaglass. Thanks. I just ordered Seaglass from Amazon it looked really pretty but more blue than your photo but that could be the light. I looked and it didn't look like Micheals or Joanns carried it so I googled. I liked the color so ordered it and the hook. I don't normally like to do small yarn but want to try this pattern and decided its only one skein. I made a scarf with sock yarn years ago and while I love the scarf and pattern wasn't a fan of the skinny yarn. That was knit vs crochet - I figure it wasn't much money and if I really hate it I won't be out much but think I will be able to get through it. I need to have a crochet pattern that isn't difficult other than pumpkins or a scarf as I don't need any more of either the pumpkins are addicting though LOL.

I just ordered Seaglass from Amazon it looked really pretty but more blue than your photo Yeah, it's night and the lighting in here is yellow-tinted. The yarn started out a light blue and then blended into green. The colors look better in person and they make me happy.

Your tan looks really nice to. I have never made something like this and looking forward to it and hope Amazon really does ship and get here this weekend my packages from a couple other places have been held up and rescheduled a few times.

I have never made something like this and looking forward to it I hope you have fun making it! The threads aren't really twisted together, more like they were held and balled together. Just take your time and check your stitches often in case you miss catching a thread. But hey, I'm using RHSS and besides splitting, my hook keeps getting hung up in impossible to see fuzzies. The It's a Wrap is a nice break from RHSS! I may as well post a photo of that too, while I'm at it.

As Time Goes By - I just kept going on the square by Polly Plum at Ravelry. This is Square 19 of the Stardust Melodies CAL. I saw a photo of one like this on Facebook and had to try it. I used RHSS Ombre Deep Teal (night lighting here, sorry) and an I 5.25mm hook. This sucker is heavy!

I’ve been teaching kids sewing classes all summer and this little 8 year old has been multiple times to learn hand sewing but was too scared to try my fast and noisy electric machine. She wanted to make clothes for her Teddy so, prior to her arrival, I oiled my vintage 1902 Singer and downloaded the manual to see how to thread it and wind the bobbin. She really loved turning the handle and sewing slowly! She even gave the electric machine a try (but went back to the Singer!). 2.5 hours later, she went home with her Teddy in a dress matching her own and a quilted backpack! That is so cool. It is wonderful to see crafts being passed down to the younger generations, and she must have had such a sense of achievement when she was done.

muggins what a gift you are sharing with these young ones. WOW! Truly, truly awesome. And leftturnonly , your words have truly touched me this morning. I was just reading in my Bible the other day about idle chatter and knowing when to keep quiet. I noted in the margins that being "Patter chatter" is not always good. Thank you so much for touching me today! And I LOVE your crochet pieces. Wow! So glad you jumped in and shared. I also love that free pattern. That's exactly what I have been looking for. Off to download. jeremysgirl , wow, that is really coming along. Looks like a work of art.

jeremysgirl Your Halloween shawl is looking just gorgeous. You've got every stitch perfect. I love it. muggins I have a very similar Singer machine that I still use for everything. Mine is from 1905. It has the same base as yours. I'm incredibly fond of it.

Ahhhh.... I love this group! So much awesomeness. New shawls, wraps, kids sewing, projects. I miss crafting for me. Currently school (work) is sucking the life out of me. I do get to do something creative 4 days a week tho. I'm teaching 5 periods of 6, 7, 8 math and one period of ART! Yes, that's right. The person who can't draw is teaching art. LOL. So far we've done "string art" with pens and paper (square, plus, 3 intersecting lines, circle), zentangles (they didn't really enjoy that and mostly just slapped it together not taking time to make it pretty), color theory to talk about complementary colors and warm/cool colors, and we started a mandala on Friday. We're "learning" it together because I've never done one and we're watching a youtube tutorial for it. They're all turning out really cool and so very different. We're going to color it next week. After that, probably an agamograph with escher pictures. I really want to do a kaleidocycle but I have to wait for my heavier paper and nail art dotters (embossing stylus) to show up. We're doing low tech, low material cost, easy clean up since it's my last class of the day and I'm pretty much exhausted by then. BUT I am getting creativity in there. I also got a makerbot sketch for my classroom- happy mistake. 2 were ordered and 4 showed up... no one seems to know why/how it happened. There were 2 extras sitting in the science lab and I liberated one to my classroom then messaged my principal to let her know I put one there and asked if I could claim it. She said absolutely. I've been playing around with that making personalized cord sliders to label them and just playing around. My 10 year old jumped on tinkercad and made herself a figure 8 fidget that she printed. I have a student who asked if I could print a unicorn for her. I told her to design it up and I'd print it. The next day she came in with it designed in a print ready file and I printed it for her. The kids are super excited to use the printer because they see it running during the school day. So... that will find a way into my art class I'm sure. All that to say, not much of "ME" crafting happening.
