I was wondering what happened to all those Youtube people who did those TM hauls every week? I use to watch one when she would go into the store and show you what was new so I knew if I should check my stores out. Oh man, I forgot about those. TM put them out of business. Wonder what store(s) they can do now? There is already a ton of Dollar Tree YT'bers.

Yesterday was my 7th weekly stop without buying a thing. I'm thankful for my stash from the good ol' TM days. It sure was fun while it lasted!

Yesterday was my 7th weekly stop without buying a thing. I'm thankful for my stash from the good ol' TM days. It sure was fun while it lasted! Missed you! I went to the one on Powers, and it was sad too. I have noticed that they are getting in quite a bit of storage like the WRMK Bloom storage in different colors and sizes, lots of 4 x 6 sets of plastic photo storage, and Iris 13 x 13 cases. There were also some (maybe 15) new sets of nested dies. But that was it. I'd like to think it was the 1,000 packs of Karen Foster (25) papers that did them in. I also saw the Big Kick/Big Shot went up 30 bucks since the last round of machines. Now they cost the same as almost anywhere online.

I noticed the hike on the price of the Bog Shot/Big Kick, too. Out of curiosity, I checked online prices and found them for the same price as TM is trying to sell them.
Eventually they will mark it down, but I suspect it will be on the shelf quite awhile before they do.

Stopped in today, just in case. Whole bunch of nothing. An Echo Park paper pad had maybe 5 sheets in it of the 48 that should have been in it.
Made me very glad I stocked up on a ton of Thickers stickers months ago when I'd gone in because I haven't seen any there since, at either location near me.

I remember pre-pandemic, I went to Tuesday Morning and bought a carryon suitcase for my son and my nieces for their birthdays. Since I was there, I looked at the craft and scrap aisle and ended up buying enough stuff to fill a suitcase with scrap goodies. The cashier asked if I wanted to use the suitcase instead of additional bags and it totally worked out.
Since then I’ve only found a few items here and there, although honestly, I haven’t been to a Tuesday morning in at least a year. Finding all the goodies was fun but I definitely couldn’t support bringing that much new stuff into my house on a regular basis. It sounds like that will be a non issue these days. I’m tempted to check out my local stores just to see but I’m also hesitant because I don’t want to be disappointed! Plus, I literally need zero supplies.

Supply chain disruption rippling down to the retail level probably isn't helping.
Goods that are large volume-low value, like scrapbooking supplies are not high margin enough to absorb the x3-x10 fold price increase in shipping container cost. Thus the usual surplus that overflows into discount stores simply doesn't exist right now in many areas.

Here's my question, who the heck do they think is buying all the storage boxes that replaced my crafting aisle? They're like patterned paper covered boxes, some look like fake books, ect...and there is literally a whole aisle of them where crafts were. Whyyyyyyyy??? Why the empty boxes??? I thought that too! Do they actually sell a lot of those? The Tuesday Morning near me closed and my trips to the ones farther away yielded nothing. I don't know how getting rid of crafts helped their business. I used to go once a week, now I don't go at all. When I was there I would usually pick up other stuff, too- readers (always had 3 for $10- I bought a lot), food (they always had something fun), and decorative items. I found a lot of stuff for my Alice in Wonderland bedroom there. It so disappoints me- I used to love shopping there. Would love to see a picture of that bedroom!

Like many of you, I don’t even bother any more. And I could just shop my TM stash if I want something new.

My LSS is actually less than 5 minutes from one of my Tuesday Mornings. Thankfully I can still go into a LSS. We also have a second hand craft store that is quite large and has a ton of scrapbook stuff, but there it is really the thrill of the hunt.

I have a nice stack...and then a few carts on various sites with more.

We’ve lived all over the country (7 states) for hubs’s job. The best TM (by leaps and bounds) with paper craft items that I literally had to put back so I didn’t go over my crafting budget was in Denver, Colorado. Sometimes I’d go twice in one day because they had so much. We don’t live in Colorado anymore and I miss that TM and wonder if it’s gone to hell in the papercrafting department.
