Welcome to Canada!  I love this option! I usually tip 20% ... those people deserve at least that amount  Do you have the option at most places to choose your own? Or options between percentage and dollar amounts? Most places have it set up for you but many give you the option to type in your own number |

I always tip on the total amount. Like some of you said, I am over-tipping right now. People are working so hard during the pandemic.

I knew someone who tipped exactly 15% of the pre-tax bill. I was disgusted. I tip minimum 20% of total bill and usually 30%. I also do not go out a lot.
