In the ongoing war against petites, I've nearly given up on pants/jeans. Clothing lines do not realize (or care?) that just taking the hem up is not the answer always. It's about proportions which can't be fixed by chopping off the hem. Off my soapbox now!  I'm leaning more towards dresses and skirts these days, shirtwaist dresses in particular. After cleaning out my wardrobe this summer, they need to be in any color except blue. I have a problem! A couple of weeks ago I picked up a denim pencil skirt in a dark wash that should work with so many things. I'm also trying to focus on prints when I add new blouses. Not only do I have too much blue, but there are too many solids tops as well. Got this one when I picked up the skirt. If anyone is interested, a blogger I follow just released her Fall 2021 Capsule Wardrobe. You can get some good ideas from the wardrobe as well as her regular posts. I wear the same things year round, jeans and tshirts. When it cools off I add a fleece jacket (and whenever possible, subtract the bra).

Not yet, but fall usually starts right after Labor Day when the kids go to school. This year has been warmer than usual, though, so who knows.

I’m starting to do my end of summer closet clean out yo see what I currently have tor fall.
Since I’m not solely remote anymore, this might warrant a little splurge on a few wardrobe pieces! 😅😅

Does anyone here follow OneRealMomma on Instagram? I just her recent post wearing some really cute fall clothes. She has started capsule wardrobes as well. She is plus-sized and her capsules say “size inclusive” so I’m not sure if that means that all of the items can be found in regular or plus sizes, or if it is all plus sizes. But I like her style.

Not so much fall shopping as revamping my wardrobe because my office has become much more casual and, with far fewer in-person events, I just don't need my formal business attire most of the time. Also, having lived in bare feet and birks for the last year-and-a-half, I don't love my stilettos quite as much anymore.
I've purchased some flats and boots, and I'm on the lookout for pants that will work well with flatter shoes.
I do try to be cognizant of my fashion purchases and the environmental impact. I've never been much into trends, but I've quit buying things I don't need just because something is on sale or cheap and avoid fast fashion.

If you care about fashion trends…high waists and wider legs, printed pants, sweater vests (huge this fall), lavender, and head to toe denim (but you can’t wear that to work). Straight black can look like someone trying to look slimmer - so go with nice prints and sweaters or jackets to layer. Ugh, I’m average height but have a short waist. High waist pants seem like they go up almost to my boobs. |

Me! I have lost 50 pounds in the last year so I need things that fit. I actually just got new jeans yesterday. And a black boyfriend blazer.
I am having foot surgery in October and will be in a cast for 6-8 weeks, so I bought a few heavier weight tee-shirt dresses to wear with cardigans.
I need to find a few warmer tops/sweaters that don't hang on me! I have gone from a 3x top to an XXL/XL depending on the fit.
