Happy Saturday, everyone! For today's Sketchy Saturday, I've chosen a sketch from Becky Fleck's Page Maps. This sketch takes us back to August of 2019, but it's a classic design that is timeless. Here is the sketch, and below it is my spin on it. I hope you like it, and that it inspires you to create your way! I moved a few things around, and I changed the size of the photos. I also added some embellishments (enamel dots, die cuts, and stickers). The patterned papers are from Doodlebug. I stamped some pawprints on the brown cardstock base to make my own patterned paper. I cut the dinosaur, balloons, party hat, and title using my Cricut Maker machine.

Thanks, riversong! I love the sketch and your page is adorable! Cute photos. Great story. When I see a strong image like the bird house, I often get fixated on that, start looking for a large birdie element in my stash, and try to come up with a LO that works with it. but that dino is perfect for your page.

I love your layout with the pawprints and dino - so sweet. riversong1963 I swear I started with the sketch...dropped to 2 photos because I was doing 8.5x11 and changed the sizes. Followed the base PP layersd but went my own way for the title/journalling/embellishments. Used EP Little Mermaids for this.

Oh yay, fun sketch thank you riversong1963! I love your take on it, and you have shown the versatility of the sketch by using portrait photos instead of square, and using a journal card in place of one photo. The colours on your page are lovely, and those photos are just the cutest! Okay, now I'm off to play.....

Awww... Cute dog--both the real one and the icon! Love the colour combo: so masculine for Boris.
I have a page that *started* with this sketch layed out on my counter. It kinda took a mind of its own, but it has four square photos... Need to decide if I should start gluing or move a few elements around for a bit first...

The second page here was an attempt at this sketch... Hey! It has four photos in a block. I added the torn layered borders instead of the clean lines, and the large icon element morphed into a cluster, but, but... Le Club family FUN by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
