I've been inadvertently taking Ivermectin as it is an ingredient in the face moisturizer compounded by a pharmacy in Texas to treat my rosacea. Before this pharmacy was able/willing to do this compounding, the RX would have cost me over $300 for a months supply as it was not covered by insurance. So, prior to finding this compounding pharmacy, my dermatologist would send me to the Horse and Hound (similar to Tractor Supply) to get the one formulated for animals! I couldn't use it, however, as the smell was off putting.
So, I am hoping and praying that my inadvertent use of this 'miracle drug' will help me achieve a negative covid test next week! (TIC/said in jest...just in case!).

So, does Ivermectin actually work for rosacea? Yes, it helps; but you have to use it consistently and herein lies my problem. And to perfectly clear, it is only one of the ingredients in the moisturizer; it also has prescription antimicrobial agents in it. I wonder if my moisturizer will increase in price now that ivermectin is so popular. I hope they can still get it!

Does anyone know where the whole ivermectin trend came from?? Like who thinks that a anti parisite med would help a viral infection?!

We have a peas DH also uses 'Ivermectin' for his Roascea. *casually schmears Soolantra over the virus* Oh, I’m not doing it casually…he’s taking it internally now. But I did just have to call in a refill and now I wonder if they wonder what we’ll use it for, ya know?

So, does Ivermectin actually work for rosacea? Some types. DH has the one that causes break-outs as well as redness, and it helps him. But I have the kind that makes me look flushed a lot, and am starting to get broken capillaries and it doesn’t help me. There’s a third one, I think it has to do with the eyes, DH has a patch on his eyelids, but I don’t think it’s the same thing. And it helps with that one.

Does anyone know where the whole ivermectin trend came from?? Like who thinks that a anti parisite med would help a viral infection?! Who started it and why they were looking at it? Not sure but I know they were studying it as far back as last year, end of summer/early fall if I remember correctly. Different groups of doctors were adding it to their protocol. I thought there might something in the mechanism of how it works they thought would be helpful, or maybe they were just throwing things at it to see what might work.

Does anyone know where the whole ivermectin trend came from?? Like who thinks that a anti parisite med would help a viral infection?! Probably don’t have to look far…politicians who are funded by drug companies are pushing, through not always so subtle ways encouraging people to take it. Then you have idiots like Paul Rand…

It's like a balm for the soul right now. And we can all use that right now, for sure! I’m just more into mysteries and serial killers I keep wanting to try it but when it comes down to it I can’t bring myself to watch it. Talking (not in person) bothers me to the point I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to watch the news with any regularity again. In the last 3 months I think I’ve only watched half a dozen episodes of The Nevers, a movie (Enola Holmes) and a couple of baseball games.

Been waiting for S2 to completely air so I can do an AppleTV trial and watch both seasons. Does anyone know if all of S2 has been released? We can be behind the times together 😉
