So in a nutshell, is the Holiday Card Swap still on? I simply can’t make heads/tails of anything. If you're talking about the smaller card exchange that was started last year, the answer is yes. As I stated earlier, it will essentially be the same as it was last year. As to the larger one that LEO used to run, it appears (upthread) that another pea has offered to run that one. |

MichyM I’ve had you blocked for much longer than a year but as we can BOTH SEE, we can read each other’s posts when we choose, whether we admit it or not. It’s very easy as you know. I chose to read ALL the Christmas Card SWAP posts. I definitely remembered the division caused last year and wanted everyone to remember. You just happen to volunteer it was you. Thank you for that. MichyM You are a good egg. You were by no means the first pea to express displeasure with the rules that LEO tried to force on the exchange. Don't know why she pick you? Does seem personal. YES Leowife caused the division! And it didn't start last year. She had slowly been trying to force changes for years.

mnmloveli, I was the one who objected to leowife's draconian rule about using my real name, because I’ve always maintained a certain level of privacy and anonymity on this board. I was the one who did the drama call-out thread directed at leowife, when she ignored me and my valid questions. However, I had nothing whatsoever to do with starting the alternate card swap. That was courtesy of the generosity and caring of MichyM. So if you insist on dredging up old business that I think everyone else has laid to rest, please get your facts straight.

I've never done the card swap, I'm pretty private but I am curious why anyone would sign up for a swap arranged by an ex-member? I know, I know, Hotel California and all that but surely a current member is a better option. Just curious.

This is exactly how I remember it going down.  I'm fascinated by mnmloveli's insistence that is was MichyM.  And her insistence that the drama was driven by those who joined peano in asking for the reasonable option of using peanames and/or PO Boxes. Leowife's hard no was the drama. And when it was obvious that a number of peas would participate in a fewer rules exchange, MichyM and gemini_jen generously coordinated it. All peas were welcome and many joined both. Poor kittens. She's going to eventually come back to this thread and think "I just asked a simple question!"  |

I didn’t do the big swap last year (but had in previous years) because of the nastiness from Leo. I didn’t really care about my name being out there (many peas know me and are friends on FB). But I detested the nastiness that was being dumped. So if did the smaller swap and had a fabulous time.
This year I plan on doing both (assuming the nastiness left with Leo).
