Today's sketch is from Sketch Savvy Twist is to use a ONE-WORD title.I've done a couple of samples - both 8.5x11 - one is rotated. And I've turned the sketch into a slim-line card as well - which I think has a similar size to Traveller's Notebooks.

I loved this one, and with the examples Linda gave us, I'm tempted to use it again! I'm enjoying using some of my Christmas stash.

MDscrapaholic - that looks fabulous - love how you used the Christmas embellishments down the one side - great idea! I admit I'm lazy! I wanted to copy the sketch but I did not feel like cutting out all those rectangles! LOL I probably could have done it quickly with my paper cutter, but it was 11:30 and I was tired.

I think it was MARIBETHR who posted a point per rectangle challenge this month

linda , thank you for the sketch! Three great examples, showing the versatility. This cardmaker loves that one is a card. MDscrapaholic the elements in place of the rectangles are so eye catching and perfect for the layout. Cute background paper and super cute subjects in the photo.

Thanks for the fun sketch Linda ! Here is my layout. I got to use a new kit and new date tags yay! I made every little block a different colour/pattern, but now I'm thinking I might choose only 4 or 6 and repeat them - it looks a bit busy.

AussieMeg - I like it with all the different patterns - the colour scheme keeps it cohesive, I think. Lovely layout and I love the new date tags

angel97701 - I like how you spaced out the rectangles and how the tan one has a textured appearance. And how you talked about what happens AFTER the big event - somebody has to tidy up and return things! AussieMeg - I'm not sure about the rectangles! I like how the patterns are tied together by color, so it looks good to me. I like the "date tags". I might try that in paper some day soon.

Thank you for the sketch, Linda . Susan Stringfellow is my all time favorite for sketches. I can’t believe the adaptations you did with this sketch. You go, girl! Love your mask page, we were thinking alike! MDscrapaholic , I love your Christmas page. Those are such cute pajamas. I really like the way you changed the rectangles to Christmas sayings. Very clever. jjpeapea , I love the big bold red plaid with your photos. I don’t think I have ever heard of starting a fire with an aluminum can. I taught Cub Scouts for years, but they were young and not yet allowed to start fires! LOL. Great take on this sketch. angel97701, your rectangles are the perfect colors for your photos. Very classy page. You will have that album finished in no time. Love the corner embellishments. AussieMeg , you have love in the gallery. Here is my version: Immunity

Linda all your pages are fab, but my favourite is definitely the card, the background is so perfect and I love the rocket paired with the rectangles. MDscrapaholic my first thought for this page was something quite similar to what you've done, so I love your take on the sketch, and the traditional colour combo is beautifully matched to their pjs. jjpeapea that must have taken some patience to get the fire to light! I love the dimension you've got by layering your title and your papers work so well with your photos and the story. I think I've caught everyone else in the gallery.

Everyone's takes are so different and so cool. Will be back to leave love. Here is my take on this one. Thought the page design worked well with these photos about a quilt the boys made for their day care provider:
POINTS: one page created & shared (2). SKETCHtember sketch(2), twist (1) and bonus (5). R-3 two photos (2) and one page (5) for the Donna challenge, P-1 S for scissors (1), P-3 lots of patterns (10), P-6 Four scraps (4) S/I-2 two rectangular photos (2), S/I-4 hearts and stars (1), C/M-1 blues (1), T-1 stars and circle diecuts (2), T-6 inked edges (1), N/S-3 cluster (1). Total: 40
The one word title was a bit of a challenge for me, but managed to get that done for the twist.

nylene ooo I like your repeated shapes and the colors you chose. Thanks for sharing the very special moment. Laughing over the moustache mask. grammadee what a great photo for this challenge, since the quilt has all those repeated rectangles. How kind and thoughtful to make a quilt for the caregiver.

The rectangles on the sketch reminded me of stripes on a flag. I had a bunch of pics so I stretched it out to two pages.

schroema that was inspired to stretch it out and it "reads" like a US flag without being so literal. Love your mixed patterns. gramma The colors! I see you were playing off the colors in your shirts but the mint and red looks so amazing. Thoughtful of nylene to wear such a scrapable shirt. Your patterns mix and balance so well. And I like the way you rotated it and kept the second page balanced. So fun that you got to spend time with someone you met here! Chinagirl828 what a sweet tribute and use of color to balance the photo. Love those smiles!
