Okay so I am trying to lighten up the board a bit with something fun.
What is a food you miss from your childhood or even adult life that isn't made anymore? Could even be several food items.

Mine is Post Blueberry Morning cereal. It was the best cereal ever. I tried the remake and it was gross. I miss the smell when I would first open the bag...blueberry was so strong and smells so good!

My family says we're cursed because stuff we love gets discontinued very often. I'm still sad that a particular spice blend for honey mustard chicken was discontinued about 20 years ago. It used to be my favourite quick, no effort required dinner when I got my first job after university.

A lot of South Africans still call corn flakes Post Toasties, which was the most popular brand. Actually, it may have been the only brand of corn flakes at the time. Sadly also discontinued.

I don't eat cereal anymore but I still have nostalgic memories of my fav childhood one ... Count Chocula! Yup, that could be one of the reasons why I was a chubby kid!

It comes back for Halloween every year. This year there is a special box called Monster Mash that has all the Monster marshmallows in one box.

Carnation Hot Chocolate. I always loved it after a cold morning of Safety Patrol (6th grade).

There's plenty of stuff I love that I just don't eat any more since I'm old (and gluten hates me): bologna sandwiches on white bread with yellow mustard; hot dogs (I'll eat one occasionally) and all of the Drake's Cakes - especially Yodels.

I was just thinking of this one the other day, and I wish they bring back Jello 1-2-3
I also remember in the late 80’s going to the states and buying Keebler potato chips, they were so crispy and yummy.

Screaming Yellow Zonkers. They were a type of caramel corn only the glaze was lighter, not caramel. Probably corn syrup and butter. I haven't had any since 1994, which was the last time I saw them. I ate the entire box, got immediately drowsy, slept about 5 hours on the couch, and found out the next day I had gestational diabetes requiring insulin. Lol not sure I'd eat them again, but they were so delicious!

Chocolite Candy Bar Carnation or Borden milkshake in a can, I can't remember who made them but I can almost taste them. They were a special treat when we were sick. The Hershey's hot fudge in a can. The old Keebler grasshopper cookies that made it look like the grasshopper had green eyes. Mystic Mint cookies.
I am sure there are non chocolate foods too, but those are off the top of my head.

Lean Cuisine Glazed Chicken frozen meal. The new Glazed Chicken bowl is NOT the same. I really like these and they were so handy to have one or two in the freezer for crazy days, as well as lunch when I worked.

It doesn't come back in Canada Oh, that is a bummer. You do have the corner on delicious candy market though, so I don’t feel too sorry for you . It is primarily at Target here, I have been checking weekly for it, but it hasn’t shown up just yet.

Yes, to the Carnation Breakfast bars, those were so yummy. I loved Screaming Yellow Zonkers and remember the box they came in!
I just saw Count Chocula at Target last week. They had a display of 3 different types of Halloween-ish, sugar cereals at the end of the check stand and Cou stand and Cholcula was one of them
I miss Jello Pudding Pops. Both the vanilla and chocolate were absolute perfection!

This is what I was going to say, Jello 1-2-3. It sounds like you are outside the US, so I don’t know if we are talking about the same thing. It was jello that separated into three layers. One layer was jello, and then two different layers that were like mousse. It was my favorite dessert! I also miss Sara Lee’s frozen chocolate cake.

Kellogg’s Brown sugar and cinnamon danish-go-rounds.
Bordon’s (?) American orange shake cheese in a can/shake container. I think it was Bordon’s but maybe someone like Land O Lakes. I think the can had a lot of blue and a cow on the front. Theses were from the 70’s.

Fun!
We used to get cookies (late 1970s or early 1980s) that were round, looked the color of a ginger snap, molasses tasting, maybe scalloped edges? They had a thin layer of white icing with black stripes.

Amy’s green tamale frozen dinner. It’s one of the only premade meals that I’ve found that doesn’t have dairy or onions. I used to keep it in the freezer for an emergency meal.
T. marzetti’s coleslaw dressing. I’ve tried copycat recipes, but it’s just not the same. My version is probably missing all the chemicals, but it’s what grandma used and it’s nostalgic for me.
Ben & Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk ice cream. I hadn’t had it in years and now I’m allergic to dairy. There used to be these chocolate covered almond bits in it that I loved.
Pudding mix in an individual sleeve. Believe it or not, it’s dairy free and you can make it with oat milk and it was under 100 calories for a serving. I’d like the individual sizes again.

I get in in a big tin at Target. I've only seen Milk Chocolate and we always had Rich Chocolate as a kid. Loved it! I miss the original formula Good & Fruity candy from the candy that makes Good & Plenty. The new formula is yuck. Same with Neccos. Really miss the original formula flavors.

I miss everything. I miss Ho-Ho's. They are still made, but I can't eat them and they are the world's best processed crap food. I miss Delaware punch. Does anyone remember it? It came in a can, but it wasn't carbonated. Apparently, it had chemicals that are no-no's so they made it illegal. Rats. That was a treat when I was a child and it tasted so good. I know this thread is specific to fun food, but if I could eat a meal I'd have a french dip w/cole slaw on the side.

Lean Cuisine Glazed Chicken frozen meal. The new Glazed Chicken bowl is NOT the same. That brought back memories - when my kids were small my Dh was in the hotel industry and pretty much always worked weekends including Sat evenings so the frozen Lean Cuisine lasagne Verdi was my Saturday treat to myself once they were in bed - a meal I didn’t have to cook 😊 Followed by some orange Matchmaker chocolates. I don’t think it’s even made any more.
