Carnation Hot Chocolate. I always loved it after a cold morning of Safety Patrol (6th grade). This is our family’s favorite! Can you not find it where you are, or just don’t want it? I get in in a big tin at Target. I haven't seen it for years and just thought they discontinued it. Thanks for your source - now I'm on the hunt and a trip to Target might be in my future!

This is our family’s favorite! Can you not find it where you are, or just don’t want it? I get in in a big tin at Target. I've only seen Milk Chocolate and we always had Rich Chocolate as a kid. Loved it! I miss the original formula Good & Fruity candy from the candy that makes Good & Plenty. The new formula is yuck. Same with Neccos. Really miss the original formula flavors. Here it’s called “classic rich milk chocolate”. They’re covering all the bases! 😂 I loved good n plenty and necco wafers. I’ve been eating mostly paleo since June and I miss a lot of things. We were at the Ocean City boardwalk last week and I was missing my salt water taffy and old timey candy I like to get there. I almost cried when I saw pumpkin pie pop tarts. I generally hate pop tarts but those pumpkin pie ones are my treat in fall.

Thanks for your source - now I'm on the hunt and a trip to Target might be in my future! Mine sells it for $5 per can (39 servings). Sadly they don’t ship. Let me know how you make out. I’d be happy to be your go-between. Amazon sells it but for $11 for the same size can. Crazy.

Fruit Wrinkles. Anyone else remember those? They were the best fruit snacks.

Birds Eye Star Turn, it was orange or mint mousse with a chocolate shell. It was a Sunday afternoon tea treat every week.

I miss Delaware punch. Does anyone remember it? It came in a can, but it wasn't carbonated. Apparently, it had chemicals that are no-no's so they made it illegal. Rats. That was a treat when I was a child and it tasted so good. I know this thread is specific to fun food, but if I could eat a meal I'd have a french dip w/cole slaw on the side.
My MIL introduced me to Delaware punch back in the early 90’s. I loved it. Another company bought the recipe and sold it under another brand. I can’t remember the name, but it was something New England-ish. That second company has stopped making it, but I was drinking this up until about 2007. Every time I walk into a “soda” store, I go looking for it.

BACOS!!!! I have no idea if they were gluten free or not because they disappeared before I was diagnosed. None of the substitutes come close.

Anyone remember General Foods International Coffees? I loved and felt so sophisticated having my afternoon Orange Cappuccino. I'd never pick it over my Nespresso now but know this was the drink that launched my love of cappuccinos and lattes.

I don't remember the brand, Swanson or Banquet?? Frozen dinner, wide egg noodles in a creamy buttery sauce, with apple cobbler type dessert.
Morton frozen honey buns.
French's potato sticks (they still make them in a larger sized can), but they used to have them in the individual portion sized bag. They came in a box.

Oh man I LOVED Jell-o 123, I would make it at my dad's house on his weekends and I absolutely thought it was magic!
Also loved Keebler's Magic Middles cookies and fruit wrinkles.
This is such a fun thread, thanks for starting it!

I miss the TV dinner in the metal tray. Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, corn and brownie. The mashed potatoes would get a little brown on the bottom, the corn was so buttery, and that brownie was delicious.
I miss making butter and sugar sandwiches. I could totally recreate it with Grandma Sycamore bread (tastes like Wonder bread used to taste), but I figure that is a memory I should just keep sacred to my youth.
I miss 5 Alive Juice which is another, in my already long list, of reasons why I want to move to Canada as they still carry it there. It tasted exactly as I remembered, it was delicious.

Carnation Instant Breakfast Bars. I loooooved those things! Also Horlicks Chocolate Malt Tablets. I think you can still order those from overseas but I’ve never tried. I used to use the powder but had no idea they had bars! They had chocolate chips inside and a crumbly texture with chocolate on the outside. OMG.

I was just thinking of this one the other day, and I wish they bring back Jello 1-2-3 I also remember in the late 80’s going to the states and buying Keebler potato chips, they were so crispy and yummy. This came up for me recently and thought I'd link it for you Copy Kat Jello 1-2-3

Quisp cereal and Willy Wonka Scrunch bar. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Quisp cereal recently at HyVee. I didn’t buy it because I was busy buying multiple boxes of retro recipe Golden Grahams to make S’mores bars.

My guy just looked at me today and remarked that he’d love a slice of that pizza they used to serve in grade school (w’re talking the 70’s).
I still kind of miss the Hamburger Helper flavor called Rice Oriental (I think). I’ve tried copycat recipes, but it’s not the same.

I miss Nabisco Bacon Thins. I'll never understand why these were discontinued. It's hard to believe it was because of poor sales. And Knudsen's Strawberry frozen Yogurt Push-Ups. These were so delicious... better than ice cream.

I miss Jello Pudding Pops. Both the vanilla and chocolate were absolute perfection! Someone remade those, one of the big brands... Kemps, maybe. They're not the same. When I was little, my grandparents always had pudding pops in the freezer and they would give us the tiniest amount of hot coffee to dunk them in. Soooo good. crazy4scraps mentioned Twinkies; I prefer Hostess ho-hos or ding-dongs (chocolate). We used to have a hostess outlet and my mom often stopped on her way home from work. Because they were near sellby dates, we'd put them in the freezer. Back in the day when they had foil wrappers. It was really the only way we could afford Hostess treats. But they're just not as good any more. My personal theory is that it's because everyone had to remove trans fats.

I miss, and miss so much; - Jello Pudding Pops - Butonni's Instant Pizza. Disc of something resembling pizza crispy dough filled with cheese and pizza sauce. Pre-microwave so you would cook them in the toaster and they would be scalding hot and then a bit frozen in the middle.
- Wonder Bread, forbidden in my childhood home but embraced as a young adult then they ruined it.
Charles Chips Sandies; They delivered them in a can, real crispy cinnamon sugar cookies. Anything with real corn syrup such as Ketchup and things prepared with unhealthy fats.

Birds Eye Star Turn, it was orange or mint mousse with a chocolate shell. It was a Sunday afternoon tea treat every week. I was very confused by this until I remembered you are in the UK. The only BirdsEye products I've ever seen in the US are frozen vegetables.

I did not expect to find so many lovers of Jello 1-2-3 here! I read the OP and then had to look up what it called because DH and I ate a lot of Jello 1-2-3 when we were first married. Loved it! Apparently it wasn't just me.
Also, General Foods International Coffees! They actually still exist as Maxwell House International Coffee. Same product. I can only find two flavors at the commissary, French Vanilla and Hazelnut. A few years ago they had a holiday cinnamon spice limited edition that I've never found again. I always have one of these in my coffee cupboard. Normally I drink my coffee black, but every now and then I like to feel sophisticated and drink my International Coffee. 😂

There's plenty of stuff I love that I just don't eat any more since I'm old (and gluten hates me): bologna sandwiches on white bread with yellow mustard; hot dogs (I'll eat one occasionally) and all of the Drake's Cakes - especially Yodels. Bologna, cheese, smashed potato chips on a hard roll, white bread worked too. Stopped eating bologna and hot dogs years ago, too much gas... Morning Star had veggie hot dogs, not bad, but haven't found them recently.

And LOL about the sell by dates, they really don’t matter because those things have so many preservatives in them that they would never rot anyway. I’m sure you’re right about the trans fats. None of that stuff is anywhere close to as good as it used to be. This thread reminds me of my all time favorite thing that is forever gone, and that would be Frosty Angel Cakes. Those were from Dolly Madison and the only place that I ever saw them was at certain gas stations. It was a little loaf of angel food cake with a slab of thick, sugary pink frosting on top. I wouldn’t get them all the time but when I’d see them I’d buy like 2-3 of them. They’ve been gone for a long time. If I could recreate that recipe, I’d be all over it.

My cats wanted me to post that they miss the breakfast flavors of canned Fancy Feast. They had egg, cheese, and greens with chicken or fish.

Doritos 3D - I don't care for regular Doritos but I loved those
Nabisco Swiss cheese crackers
Apple Slice soda

DH would like to add Nabisco Twigs crackers to the list. They were such a tasty snack alongside a Diet Coke.
