Bride is planning dusty blue and blush (pink) for colors. Tables will be set with white cloths, white chair covers, dusty blue napkins and chair sashes, centerpieces tbd but will have a touch of blush flowers in them. Would you do silver or gold as a metal accent (ex. may use charger plates and some candle holders in metallic). thanks!

oh, that's hard... I am leaning silver, but gold sure is popular.
Sorry I have to laugh... as a young gal first on my own, my first apartment looked like I sneezed dusty blue and rose ALL over... the thought this combo is coming back gives me shivers.. lol (I am sure it will be pretty though!!)

Does the dusty blue have any war is tones? I wouldn’t think so, blue is primarily a cool color. I’d personally do silver but I think either would be okay.
eta: You may be able to rent some gorgeous glass charger plates as well, bring more color if she’s interested. I’ve seen some gorgeous ones with mixed colors and metallics. When I looked into it for my sister’s baby shower in 2014 they were about $8 a piece I think.

I think either would look right really...gold would look warmer...softer imo and tones with the blush...silver would look crisper, chic-er maybe and tones more with the blue... No help - sorry!

I would do gold to modernize the look and distinguish it from my wedge wood blue/mauve with ducks accents that we had in our first house.

Some rooms in our first home were that way too... so glad that phase is over. Fortunately the bride is leaning toward mostly dusty blue - it almost looks grey in some lights, with only a little touch of the blush. It's a hard call... gold would be better with blush and silver with dusty blue.

I actually think blush would look good with either, though a bit better with gold, whereas the blue will look quite a bit better with silver. I think the colors of the other flowers and containers they will be in need to be decided before the best metallic color choice can be made. What dishes will be used? Flatware? Will there be Crystal that might be rimmed with silver or gold? The napkins will be close to the chargers and the others in the centerpiece by the flowers, lol. So that doesn’t help. Also, is she going for a more modern look, or softer and romantic? What is the venue like?

Depends on if the bride wants a warm feel or a cooler feel to the tables. Either silver or gold is going to look good. Personally, I would go with a warm gold to offer a counterbalance to all those cool tones.

Time of year affects my response. Summer of fall, I'd pick gold. Winter or spring, I'd pick silver.

Gold would be my vote as silver looks a bit too cold. Gold: Silver:

Gold would be my vote as silver looks a bit too cold. Ooh that's gorgeous! Gold gets my vote too. But can you try both and see how they look? Have you thought of using both silver and gold together? Wouldn't that be different?

I would do silver, but I love the tones that the blue and sliver will create.

Gold, or maybe even rose gold.

About midway down this page is a table setting using several gold accent pieces along with blue glassware and blush floral arrangements. I think the use of gold here is just stunning. www.cvlinens.com/blogs/styling-tips/dusty-blue-color-schemes-for-every-seasonCorrection: There are two pretty blue/blush settings here. The one with the gold dinnerware doesn't have blue glasses. The other photo with the glasses doesn't have gold accessories but features a very pretty blue/blush bouquet.

White, rose gold, copper, platinum, mercury glass….

Don't do white linens, do ivory. And rose gold.

Absolutely gold with some rose gold and a small amount of silver - so warm and pretty. All silver would look cold and sterile to me.
